Red Sprite Studios announces Skip and Save 1.01 on iOS and Apple Watch devices. The app allows users track saving for something special by skipping the occasional treat. The idea came out of the developer's habit of skipping the occasional coffee to justify buying cool (but non-essential) stuff. Designed to take advantage of Apple Watch this app is simple but fun to use.
Brisbane, Queensland - Red Sprite Studios is proud to announce the release of Skip and Save 1.01 on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch devices. Skip and Save and lets users track saving for something special by skipping the occasional treat, like candy, soda or coffee.
The simple app's interface allows users to quickly launch the app and tap the skip button. They can see how close they are to reaching their goal and the Apple Watch version is designed to take advantage of all the complications on the Apple Watch.
Designer and programmer John Passfield says that the idea for the app came out of his habit of skipping the occasional coffee to justify buying cool things.
"I had just received an Apple Watch Series 3 from my wife on our wedding anniversary and wanted to make something for it," said John "and the idea came to me when I was buying a coffee and trying to work out how much money I had saved that month from skipping coffee on previous days."
John set out to build the app and began testing it out on himself. Within the first few weeks he had saved over $30. "Cups of coffee aren't that cheap here in Australia," he joked.
Skip and Save is free with no in-app purchases.
