Three New Ways to Manage Bookmarks on the Mac - Published on 08/05/14
Macintosh users now have three new ways to manage bookmarks in their web browsers. Sheep Systems has announced three new apps: Smarky, Synkmark and Markster have been spun out of BookMacster, its master bookmarks manager app for the Mac. The three new apps are each focused on a particular use case, giving average users just what they need in a simplified app. All apps are compatible with Apple�s iCloud, and correctly push changes to iOS devices when exporting to Safari.
San Jose, California, USA - "For the last couple years, we've been fielding flak from users about BookMacster being too complicated for what they need," says Sheep Systems' Chief Engineer Jerry Krinock. "Indeed, BookMacster is three-plus apps in one."
Now, users can have only the app they want, with one of three new "focused" apps�
� Smarky: Organize, and, in particular, alphabetize Safari bookmarks.
� Synkmark: Organize and keep Safari, Google Chrome and Firefox bookmarks in sync.
� Markster: Directly access bookmarks in a Central Store, from within any app.
BookMacster is there for those who want all of the above, and more. And because the apps are sold directly and not via the Mac App Store, users can easily upgrade to BookMacster, or downgrade for free, if their needs change. All four apps have more or less of the same user interface, and are built on the same framework, so they get the same update support. Beta versions are available now for users running Yosemite.
Users have many options to manage bookmarks nowadays. The specialty of the BookMacster "family" is in bridging among the internal bookmarks of the various browsers, in such a way that is compatible with iCloud, signing in to Google, and Firefox Sync. "We've provided support to many people who have had their bookmarks corrupted by other apps which have not kept on the ball", say Krinock.

Anahelena Natera and Maggie Sheldon, the app creators and partners at Zen Labs LLC, met through a kid's app community where they helped cross promote each other's apps. Now two years and forty-one TestFlight builds later, PostMarked is available for purchase in the App Store.
Parkland, Florida - Two women who met online publish PostMarked, a stylized photo messaging app that lets app users create and send cards via text message, email, Facebook, Twitter, and more. Anahelena Natera and Maggie Sheldon, the app creators and partners at Zen Labs LLC, met through a kid's app community where they helped cross promote each other's apps. Now two years and forty-one TestFlight builds later, PostMarked is available for purchase in the App Store.
The creators prioritized user experience and a handcrafted design aesthetic. To get the handmade backgrounds and stickers that the app needed, Maggie and Anahelena turned to a well known online marketplace of crafters, to find artist Jenny Tiffany the maker of the eighty plus backgrounds and stickers that are available in the app.
On the app's release, Maggie Sheldon commented "People have been sending me selfies and pictures of their dogs decorated with mustaches and balloons. I'd say our goal of allowing people to brighten their friend's day is already a success."
"It is both refreshing and rewarding to have built a piece of technology that people can use to spark creativity and at the same time show someone that they care by making something unique." commented Anahelena Natera.
The app is already garnering great praise from the online community:

Film Editors, Maryann Brandon, ACE and Mary Jo Markey, ACE, who are currently editing "Star Wars: Episode VII," will be the featured guests. Los Angeles CA/Boston MA - The Creative Pro User Group Network (CPUG Network) today have announced the Seventh Annual Amsterdam SuperMeet, to take place on Sunday, Sept 14, 2014 at the Hotel Krasnapolsky in the heart of Amsterdam. Doors open at 4:30PM (16:30) with the SuperMeet Digital Showcase featuring 20 software and hardware developers. SuperMeet Presentations will begin at 7:00PM (19:00) and continue until 11:00PM (23:00). Tickets are on sale online for the earlybird price of Euro10.00 each plus ticket fee and Euro10.00 for students and Teachers with valid ID. Earlybird sales end August 15, 2014.
Film editors Maryann Brandon, ACE and Mary Jo Markey, ACE are scheduled to appear. Both Ms. Brandon and Ms. Markey are best known as long time collaborators with director J. J. Abrams. The pair has co-edited all of Abrams' feature films including MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE III, SUPER 8 and 2009's STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS. Their latest collaboration with Abrams is STAR WARS: EPISODE VII, currently shooting in London.
The full agenda will not be announced until shortly before the event date, however the producers have stated that there will be USER driven presentations by Blackmagic Design, Adobe, iZotope, Atomos and HP.
Rounding out the evening will be the always wild and fun "World Famous Raffle," where over Euro20,000 worth of valuable filmmaker-related prizes, including a Blackmagic Production Camera 4K, will be handed out to dozens of lucky winners.
