"Unlike alternative custom keyboard players that came from Android, from the start we considered iOS as our main environment and had done our best to enhance native iOS feeling for users of our extension. We think that typing experience in the iPhone is great and there is no need to replace the native keyboard," said Artem Pochepetsky, OftenType Founder. "But there are some ways to expand it and make a little better. OftenType can surely do this. The idea came up a year ago when I was researching apps. Then I went deeper in the topic and was sure that custom keyboards in iOS should be available to 8th or 9th update. I decided to take the risk investing my time and money in the development.
