Simetrix - Endless Runner meets Block Matching in Fun and Addictive Game - Published on 09/02/16
Independent developer, Arda Kaan Alpman announces Simetrix 1.1 for iOS, an update to the fun and addictive game that fuses endless runners and block-matching. Simetrix blends together both endless runner games and block-matching games. Users must quickly and correctly rotate the block on the bottom of the play area, so that it's symmetrical with each falling block. Version 1.1 sports a new preview video, as well as feature improvements to the game.
Ankara, Turkey - Sometimes, the best games in the App Store are those that take a couple of traditional favorites, and combine them to create something unique, enjoyable and addictive. And the latest example of this brilliant fusion is Simetrix by Arda Kaan Alpman. Optimized for both iPhone and iPad and available at no cost, Simetrix brilliantly blends together both endless runner games like Jetpack Joyride, and block-matching games like Tetris. Users must quickly and correctly rotate the block on the bottom of the play area, so that it's symmetrical with each falling block.
For example, if the falling block is in the shape of a capital L, then users must rotate their block so that it looks like a backwards number 7 (i.e. the falling block's mirror image). If users are successful, they score a point and the game continues. But if they fail, the game ends and they must start over.
What's more, Simetrix features an interesting twist that makes the game more challenging and nearly impossible to put down: the blocks don't all fall at the same speed. Some blocks are somewhat slow, while others plummet pretty quickly. The longer the game goes on, the more challenging things become.
Other Simetrix special features include:
* A high score counter that lets users test their skill and improve their performance
* Game Centre leaderboards to allow players to see their global ranking
* Crisp, clear graphics with none of the clutter and distractions found in some other games
* Relatively easy early stages, which helps both new and experienced users immerse themselves in the game and get focused
"Based on the feedback and reviews that we've received so far, what people seem to love so much about Simetrix is that it's very simple to understand and to start playing, but it's tough to master. It's a fun and never-ending brain teasing journey that people can play anytime they want, wherever they are."
Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
* Requires iOS 9.0 or later
* 2.6 MB
Pricing and Availability:
Simetrix 1.1 is Free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Games category.

DEVONthink 2.9.3 and DEVONthink To Go 2.0.2 - Faster Sync and Bug Fixes - Published on 09/02/16
DEVONtechnologies updates all editions of its intelligent information and document manager DEVONthink as well as its iOS counterpart DEVONthink To Go. DEVONthink saves all your documents, keeps them organized, and recalls them whenever you need them. DEVONthink 2.9.3 and DEVONthink To Go 2.0.2 bring a large number of sync-related improvements. The smart notepad DEVONnote gets an update too. All updates are free and recommended for all users.
Coeur d'Alene, Idaho - DEVONtechnologies updates all editions of its intelligent information and document manager DEVONthink as well as its iOS counterpart DEVONthink To Go with synchronization improvements and bug fixes. The smart notepad DEVONnote gets an update too. All updates are free and recommended for all users.
DEVONthink 2.9.3 and DEVONthink To Go 2.0.2 bring a large number of sync-related improvements again. By using more aggressive chunking for static and small items synchronizing to sync stores, e.g. WebDAV or Dropbox, requires up to 30% less bandwidth, up to 50% less disk space, and up to 75% fewer files. This speeds up sync-related operations up to 3.7 times over the previous version.
Furthermore, the updates improve the reliability of direct connections as well as sync performance and robustness in general. On iOS, DEVONthink To Go 2.0.2 better manages memory usage when synchronizing databases with many or very large documents. This makes it less likely that iOS kills the app during sync. It's also possible to use multiple Dropbox sync stores in DEVONthink To Go now.
On the Mac, all editions of DEVONthink 2.9.3 show unsynchronized changes with a dot in the sync toolbar icon. They truncate long sync location names in the middle and show the name of the currently synchronized database in the activity panel. DEVONthink and DEVONnote 2.9.3 support Airmail 3 for sharing documents and provide more data when dragging items to third-party applications.
DEVONthink To Go 2.0.2 greatly improves the overall performance, e.g. when navigating groups, counting items, or updating the full-text index. Version 2.0.2 deletes whole databases faster too. The enhanced Clip to DEVONthink share extension works with any provided file format now. In addition, it can clean up webarchives with Instapaper and Markdown with Readability.
Pricing and Availability:
All editions of DEVONthink require an Intel-based Mac and OS X 10.9 or later. They can be downloaded from www.devontechnologies.com and be test-driven for free before they need to be properly licensed. WoofLinks - Dog Owners App Features Walk Tracker, Friend Finder and More
A new article has been published at prMac.
WoofLinks - Dog Owners App Features Walk Tracker, Friend Finder and More - Published on 09/02/16
Perth based developer, Motomo Pty Ltd. today introduces WoofLinks 1.0, their new lifestyle app developed for iOS devices. WoofLinks is four extremely well-designed apps rolled together into one clever solution: a walk tracker, a connections list, a friend finder, and an instant messenger. WoofLinks has a handy "WoofDar" tab, which is like a radar that lets users see what kinds of dogs are currently in a specific area, such as a park or beach, and more.
Perth, Australia - While the world is a complex place full of paradoxes and perspectives, there remains a simple distinction between two ancient clans: dog lovers, and non-dog lovers. And the hundreds of millions of people around the world who proudly declare membership in the former group - and have nothing but pity for members of the latter group - can now head to the App Store and download a must-have app that is designed exclusively for them and their canine companion: WoofLinks.
Created by Motomo Pty Ltd., WoofLinks is four extremely well-designed apps rolled together into one clever solution: a walk tracker, a connections list, a friend finder, and an instant messenger.
WoofLinks' walk tracker lets users instantly view all of the walks that they've enjoyed with their beloved four-legged companion. In addition to the date of each walk, users can track duration, location, distance travelled, and route. Plus, all walks can be viewed on map, which makes it easy to re-trace favorite routes, or plot new courses without getting lost.
What's more, users who have more than one dog, and who take them out for walks at different times, can set up multiple WoofLinks profiles to keep things organized. For example, they can create one profile for their energetic puppy who needs plenty of exercise to stay healthy and happy, and another profile for their laid back senior dog who is perfectly fine with a couple of brief strolls a day.
In addition, WoofLinks lets users connect with other dogs they come across during their journeys by adding them a list. Naturally, the owners of these dogs need to be WoofLinks users and accept the request. Once a connection is made, users can see the last time their "best friend's best friends" were in a certain area, and where they are right now (if the owners are online and sharing).
As for the friend finder, WoofLinks has a handy "WoofDar" tab, which is like a radar (hence the name) that lets users see what kinds of dogs are currently in a specific area, such as a park or beach. This is an excellent way for users to chart their course towards a destination where they're likely to find suitably-sized exercise and play partners for their pet.
And to round out the social networking fun, there's the "Woofs" tab - which is what WoofLinks calls its simple-to-use instant messaging system. Users can send messages to individuals or groups, and share everything from weather conditions, meet-up details, warnings about skunks or other hazards, and the list goes on.
"While dogs are social creatures, they can't operate an iPhone - which is where WoofLinks enters the picture!" commented Kirk Mower of Motomo Pty Ltd. "WoofLinks is all about celebrating dogs and the joy they add to our lives. It's a great way for dog owners to have even more fun with their dog, and have a more fulfilling, healthier and happier life together."

* iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
* Requires iOS 8.0 or later

As an intelligent video converter, it is capable of converting the most common SD/HD/4K video and audio files including AVI, MP4, MKV, MTS, MXF, XAVC, H.265, FLAC, AC3 to WMV, ASF, 3GP, M3U8, AAC, MP3 and so on. In addition, it can convert these media files to iPad Mini 4, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro, iPhone 6S/7, Apple TV 4, Samsung/LG/Sony/Panasonic TV directly with the customized profile, which means you do not have to figure out what is the right video format, resolution, encoder, frame rate to your device, select the correct model and start conversion. So simple for everyone!
I think the advanced setting is also very good, when you do the conversion task, you can adjust all the parameters such as bitrate, framerate, resolution etc. to meet your requirements. Form this point we can see, this ultimate video converter is a real conversion master.
With the built-in video editor, you are allowed to trim out/cut off part of the videos for conversion, add text watermark, flip videos and apply special effect to make your personalized videos. Its video preview function allows you to preview the resulted movies.
What's more, with the outstanding "Media Server" feature, you can stream the video including encrypted ones to Android/iPhone/iPad/TV by scanning the generated QR code. With the folder to ISO burning function, you are able to make backup of your movie collection in folders as a ISO file for saving onto your hard drive.
Another point, this is also I must emphasized, Dimo Video Converter Ultimate has been re-polished to support world's most advanced acceleration technologies to accelerate video conversion speed when remuxing with fast mode option checked. Crashing bug gets fixed when being launched on some Windows 10 and macOS Sierra/Mac OS X El Capitan computers. With its friendly interface and intuitive controls, it has become one of the leading products on the market.
