Save 30% on Camera Guard's Secure Protection for the Mac's Webcam & Mic - Published on 09/27/16
To celebrate the release of macOS Sierra, Miami-based security solutions company, ProtectStar today announces a special 30% discount on Camera Guard Professional for Mac 2016. This innovative security solution protects any Mac's webcam and microphone from being accessed by hackers, spyware or malware. The app constantly monitors and blocks applications or processes that attempt to access the Mac's camera or microphone, even Siri. It immediately alerts users to any unauthorized access attempt.
Miami, Florida - In celebration of the recent release of the new macOS Sierra operating system, ProtectStar today is very pleased to announce a special, one-week only 30% discount on Camera Guard Professional for Mac 2016. The ingenious macOS security solution protects any Mac's iSight camera, webcam, and microphone from being accessed by hackers, spyware or malware. With just a few clicks of the mouse, Camera Guard Professional stays alert for, and completely blocks, any applications or processes that attempt to access the camera or microphone of any Mac computer.
To celebrate the release of macOS Sierra, ProtectStar has announced a special one-week only 30% discount off of the normal $29.90 (USD) price of Camera Guard Professional 2016, making it just $20.93 for one week only. When ordering the app from the ProtectStar website, users merely need to enter the code: "macos-sierra" at checkout to receive the 30% discount.
Illegal monitoring of webcams and microphones on computers used for both personal and business use is on the rise, and shows no signs of slowing down. Until recently, the only response Mac users had was to place a piece of tape over the webcam and microphone of the computer, which is at best, an inelegant solution.
"Computer users no longer have to resort to pieces of black electrical tape to protect their privacy," says Chris Bohn, CEO of ProtectStar. "With just a few clicks, Camera Guard Professional quickly and efficiently blocks outside access to the Mac's camera and microphone, ensuring users are protected from prying eyes. Plus, the one-week-only 30% discount makes it more economical and convenient than ever to protect your family's privacy."
With the release of macOS Sierra, Apple has brought their virtual voice-based assistant to the desktop, again increasing the possibility that Mac users could possibly be listened in on via their computers. Camera Guard Professional can also prevent Siri from using a Mac's mic, once again enhancing Mac users' security.
Features:
* Web camera protection
* Pop-Up notifications regarding security breaches
* Logfile protocol
* Microphone protection. (Even Siri)
* Deep Detective(TM)
* Protection against known and unknown attack attempts
* Passcode protection
* 24/7 Support by e-Mail
Camera Guard Professional offers an added layer of protection for Mac users via its Personal Identification Number (PIN) system, which allows anyone to create a four-digit PIN to protect the customized security settings they create for their Mac. Once a PIN has been created and entered, any changes to the settings of the app require the entry of the PIN, making it impossible for rogue users or applications to change the level of protection offered by Camera Guard.
The app's exclusive Deep Detective feature offers intelligent protection against all attempted accesses to a protected machine. Deep Detective actively protects the system from hackers, spyware and trojans by monitoring any attempted access to a Mac's camera or microphone, and alerts users to any attacks, both known and unknown, using its exclusive modern heuristic methods.
Camera Guard Professional works well alongside any anti-virus or firewall solutions users may already have in place, making it an ideal addition to any Mac user's security arsenal. The app offers a fast and elegant protection solution, and is designed to make a minimal impact on any Mac's system resources, using only a small amount of available processor, memory and disk resources.
Device Requirements:
* Mac OS X 10.11 or higher (Supports macOS Sierra)
* 64-bit processor
* 30 MB
* Internet connection for activation and updates
Pricing and Availability:
Camera Guard Professional 2016 is $29.90 USD (or an equivalent amount in other currencies), and is available through the ProtectStar website. For the next seven days, ProtectStar is offering a 30% discount on the purchase of Camera Guard Professional 2016, when customers enter the code: "macos-sierra" at checkout. The Pro version offers monitoring and protection of the webcam and microphone, Deep Detective, protection against both well-known and unknown access attempts, a protocol in a log file, password protection and 24/7 support via email. There is also a free version of Camera Guard available that offers protection of the webcam and safety information over accesses.

Players become fully immersed in a captivating world of detective case work by solving a series of the interactive assignments that include freeing a princess, unlocking a secret suitcase and solving the mystery of a missing crown. The only way to advance through the game is by completing addition and subtraction problems with the difficulty level adjustable to fit the child's skills. By the time children reach the end of the game, they will have completed eight game levels and solved almost 100 different math problems.
With one in three American high school students scoring poorly on standardized math tests, it comes as no surprise that nearly 60% of college students who start a STEM program (science, technology, engineering, math) switch majors before graduating. "We are facing an educational crisis and it all boils down to the fact that our children are simply not getting a good enough foundation in math. DetecThink's mission is to help solve this problem, one child at a time," says Grace Chua, co-founder and director of Intellipath Games.
The founders have been inspired by the words of Bill Gates at a speech to the Education Commission of the States' National Forum on Education Policy on July 2012. "Imagine if kids poured their time and passion into a video game that taught them Math concepts while they barely noticed, because it was so enjoyable." Intellipath Games made this happen with DetecThink by bringing together immersive storytelling, active learning and the psychology of play.
DetecThink offers both children and parents a variety of tools and functionalities designed to create a personalized experience. Users can create custom avatars inside the game. Parents can monitor the progress children make with a personalized report. Depending on how their child is performing, a parent can customize the difficulty level of the math problems. The app allows parents to create multiple user accounts for every child in the house.
Intellipath Games is already working on creating the next mystery story. After its Beta test, the company reports that 8 in 10 users asked for more detective challenges, proving the engaging nature of the game.
"We are confident we are on the right track. The launch of DetecThink is great news to every parent out there who wants their child to learn more and become better prepared for school and life," says Grace Chua, co-founder and director of Intellipath Games.
