Duplicate Sweeper gone free on Mac App Store to celebrate macOS launch - Published on 09/23/16
To celebrate the launch of Apple's latest macOS Sierra, Wide Angle Software today announced that its duplicate file finder software, Duplicate Sweeper, is now available for free on the Mac App Store. Duplicate Sweeper makes finding and removing duplicate photos, music, documents and other files on your Mac quick and easy. Duplicate Sweeper is fully compatible with MacOS Sierra, as well as all 64-Bit Macs running OSX 10.8 or higher.
Stafford, United Kingdom - The much anticipated release of MacOS Sierra update by Apple earlier this week has brought us a range of useful new features, including Siri on a Mac and the new Messages app. Another big reason to update to MacOS Sierra is its optimized storage feature, which automatically clears up old files and documents, deletes old movies and Mail attachments and empties trash automatically.
Wide Angle Software's duplicate file finder software, Duplicate Sweeper is also an essential tool in saving you space on your precious hard drive. Duplicate Sweeper makes finding, selecting and removing duplicate files on your Mac easy. It enables you to search for duplicates of all file types, such as your photos, videos, music or documents and you can select which folders to search for duplicate files in. For even more control, search preferences can be added so that only files matching your given criteria are searched. Duplicate Sweeper can ignore files that are larger than and/or smaller than given sizes. It can also ignore files with the given file extensions so that any important file types can be left out of the search.
Once Duplicate Sweeper has found all of the duplicates in the given folders, it allows you to select which files from the duplicates you wish to remove. Duplicate Sweeper has a built in document viewer so that you can check a file is not important before selecting to remove it. If you do not wish to manually select the files to remove, Duplicate Sweeper has multiple options to determine which files to remove for you.
Before removing files, Duplicate Sweeper displays a quick list of all the files that will be removed. It will also display how much space you will save by removing those files as well as a small breakdown of the media types being removed. Once you are happy to remove those files, Duplicate Sweeper can send them all to your Trash with a single click. These files can then be emptied from your Trash to delete them permanently or restored should the need arise.
System Requirements:
* OS X 10.8 or later
* 64-bit processor
* 2.4 MB
Pricing and Availability:
Duplicate Sweeper 1.02 is currently Free for one week only, and available worldwide through the Mac App Store in the Utilities category. It normally retails at $19.99 (USD) from Wide Angle Software's website.

Liversedge, United Kingdom - UKTV, Grant Naylor Productions and GameDigits Ltd. have teamed up to create an action-packed mobile game that ties in with the new series of the multi award-winning TV show Red Dwarf. Players take command of the mining ship Red Dwarf and follow the characters on a journey through deep space, trying to find earth. The game mirrors the episodes within the series and contains additional content written by Doug Naylor specifically for the game.
For the first time ever, fans and friends can now play in the Red Dwarf Universe on the App Store anytime, anywhere!
Players will experience an explosive mix of arcade, strategy and action games as they journey through their adventure. As the story unfolds they will unlock more games, collect special items and ultimately upgrade their ship. With a wide range of varied experiences, from blasting their way through an asteroid field, to trying to master Starbug's complex control panels, this game sets out to be the most advanced and compelling Red Dwarf mobile game to date.
Doug Naylor said, "I'm thrilled to be working with GameDigits on a Red Dwarf XI game. If I get time between playing it to release it, Red Dwarf fans might get to play it too."
Steve North, General Manager of Dave, said, "We are very excited to be working with GameDigits again, they did a fantastic job on the Storage Hunters UKTV The Game and the Red Dwarf app looks incredible. We are so happy to be able to finally give the Red Dwarf fans another way to interact with their favourite show."
Ian Lindsey, managing director of GameDigits, said, "Since being an avid fan of Red Dwarf from the first series, it is a dream opportunity to be able to make a game for series XI. Working on this project has created one of those magical combinations, where the show's genre and the gameplay work perfectly together. It has been an absolute pleasure working with the legendary Doug Naylor, alongside UKTV and Grant Naylor Productions."
As players progress through the game, they unlock more content and achieve an overall score, ranked alongside other players worldwide via the on-line leaderboards.
One of the most interesting concepts used in this game is that it follows series XI's storyline, along with additional sub-plots, written by Doug Naylor, specifically for the game. Frequent free updates will be released as the series progresses, mirroring the storylines featured in the episodes as shown on Dave.
'Red Dwarf XI : The Game' will be available worldwide on the App Store and Google Play from 22nd September 2016 at a special introductory launch price. New episodes of Red Dwarf XI air Thursdays 9pm on Dave and are available to preview on UKTV Play.

PDF Decrypter Pro v2.2 for Mac OS X Offers Easy Decryption of PDF Files
A new article has been published at prMac.
PDF Decrypter Pro v2.2 for Mac OS X Offers Easy Decryption of PDF Files - Published on 09/23/16
Adeptshare releases PDF Decrypter Pro 2.2 for Mac OS X, their simple-to-use utility designed to decrypt password protected PDF files. Once decrypted, the PDF file can be edited, printed, and have text and graphics selected and copied into other documents. Users can also edit any annotations and form fields. The decrypted PDF file can be edited in any PDF editor. All versions of Adobe Acrobat are supported, but Acrobat is not required for its operation. Version 2.2 offers improved optimization.
Guangzhou, China - Adeptshare is proud to announce the release of PDF Decrypter Pro 2.2 for macOS, their easy to use utility developed to decrypt any password-protected PDF files. The app allows anyone to decrypt a protected PDF file, offering them the ability to easily edit, print, select text and graphics for use in other documents, and more.
Occasionally, Mac users will receive PDF documents that are protected via an owner password, which usually restricts a number of actions. Restricted actions can include: editing, printing, copying text & graphics to use in other documents, and more. PDF Decrypter Pro is a compact, simple to use OS X utility created to do one just thing, and to do it well, decrypt password protected PDF files. Following decryption, anyone can make use of the PDF file in any way they wish.
"Encrypted PDF files are difficult to work with, resulting in needless frustration and extra work on the recipient's part," says Adeptshare CEO Zhong Linhua. "Using PDF Decrypter Pro, anyone can quickly and easily remove all password protection from any encrypted PDF document. This allows them to make use of the information contained in the document in any way they wish to."
Features:
* Quickly decrypts encrypted PDF files
* Removes restrictions on printing, editing, copying
* Easy drag-and-drop file selection
* Handles 40-bit RC4 encryption, 128-bit RC4 encryption, and AES encryption
* Decrypted files can be edited like any other PDF document
PDF Decrypter Pro offers easy drag-and-drop file selection, or users can select multiple files via the cleanly designed file selection interface. Once files have been selected for decryption, a simple click of the button immediately begins the speedy decryption process. Users can track the decryption process, which is handily displayed in the Results Column.
PDF Decrypter Pro users love the app:
"Many thanks. A very useful tool. I don't have the full Adobe Acrobat installed on my new laptop, so PDF Decrypter Pro is a great help as I want to remove the restrictions on a particular document right now." - Iain B, DonationCoder user
"Nothing is more annoying than being sent a password protected PDF and having to track down the sender to get the password. Much appreciated. I have re-tweeted this and posted it on my Facebook page." - Tom Draxler
The compact and well-designed PDF Decrypter Pro application can remove various types of encryption, including: 40-bit RC4, 128-bit RC4, and AES encryption. The app also allows removal of editing restrictions from compressed files and unencrypted data. And while the application doesn't require Adobe Acrobat to be installed for its operation, it is compatible with all versions of the Acrobat application.
PDF Decrypter Pro cannot:
* Remove or find the user/open password automatically
* Remove other protections, such as DRM or third-party plug-ins
* Enable Acrobat Reader to save forms and data locally, add comments, or add digital signatures
"Our app prevents the frustration of needing to recreate a protected file when the password has been lost, or the employee that originally encrypted the document is no longer with the company," continues Linhua. "Retyping the content of a password-protected PDF file is something most users do not want to do. PDF Decrypter Pro saves users the hassle of creating an entirely new document from scratch."
System Requirements:
* OS X 10.6.6 or later
* 64-bit processor
* 10.2 MB
Pricing and Availability:
PDF Decrypter Pro 2.2 is only $29.99 USD (or an equivalent amount in other currencies), and is available worldwide through the Mac App Store in the Utilities category. It is also available through the PDF Decrypter website. A Windows version of the application is also available. Review copies are available upon request.
