Dingtone Launches a Mobile-based Faxing App to Help Remote Workers - Published on 05/03/20

Dingtone, a renowned VoIP service provider with more than 100 million users worldwide, announces it has launched a new faxing app on April 22, 2020. The brand-new app helps remote workers send fax documents through mobile devices. The new app is Fax from Phone - Easy Fax 1.0.1 for iOS devices.

San Jose, California - The COVID-19 outbreak is affecting the life of millions of people and businesses globally as countries are going on lockdown, and business operations are challenged. With more people working from home, avoiding going outside and looking for better solutions to improve their working efficiency, finding the right remote work tools has suddenly become very important.

Dingtone, a renowned VoIP service provider, launched a new utility app, which allows users to send fax documents simply with smartphones. The new app is Fax from Phone - Easy Fax 1.0.1 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices.

Regardless of the cumbersome process and quite expensive costs of traditional fax, it is still widely used in business and governments because faxing is a more secure and reliable method to send and receive authentic signatures, official documents, legal documents, and more. However, not only a nearby accessible fax machine can sometimes be hard to find, but just going out looking for delivery service stores can be very dangerous during a pandemic. The new app involves the use of the internet and mobile devices rather than using fax machine hardware and phone lines, which makes it much easier to send fax documents.

Users will be able to send an image or document with a cover page to the recipient's number following simple steps. The app also features a conveniently condensed interface for professional customization.

Released in 2014, Dingtone has been voted the best free calling and texting app by its loyal users worldwide. The new app is expected to be a significant addition to the already solid communication services of Dingtone.

"Remote work had gone from a rare scenario of workforce arrangements to a new normal and standard component of many people's workweek, even before COVID-19 coronavirus disrupted our normal life," explained a senior spokesperson from Dingtone. "We see great potential in essential tools for telecommuting as remote workers desire to simplify their working process."

"The idea behind the brand-new app was to help people minimize security vulnerabilities and improve efficiency," he added. "Meeting the needs of users by providing applications based on demand is what our team dedicate to."

Fax from Phone, the latest initiative of Dingtone's development team, is available now for iOS. It is a free download if you want to check it out.

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
* Requires iOS 9.0 or later
* Universal Application
* 88.1 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Fax from Phone - Easy Fax 1.0.1 is free and is available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Business category. Convenient in-app purchases are available.

MGT Alert The First Mobile App Immunizing Against Unnecessary Radiation

A new article has been published at prMac.

MGT Alert The First Mobile App Immunizing Against Unnecessary Radiation - Published on 05/01/20

Smartphones accompany us everywhere in daily life. Often the first item we grab in the morning and the last we put down before bed, today's smartphones are constantly emitting damaging non-ionizing radiation from 4G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth signals. The research is clear, this overexposure hurts. MGT Alert 9.1 for iOS and Android devices helps avoid this.

Zug, Switzerland - Smartphones accompany us everywhere in daily life. Often the first item we grab in the morning and the last we put down before bed, today's smartphones are constantly emitting damaging non-ionizing radiation from 4G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth signals. The research is clear, this overexposure hurts.

Overexposure occurs in all facets of daily life as we navigate city centers, fitness centers, hotels, and more. Hundreds of signals from smartphones live in symbiosis with us at any given moment. MGT Alert, a revolutionary new application developed by Futurix Lab, seeks to empower individuals in the digital world, permitting them to monitor their exposure index under recommendations by the European Council's Resolution 1815 and best practices from the ICNIRP-IEE.

Creating a "digital defense," MGT Alert reduces exposure thanks to the invention of specific algorithms that both calculate radiation exposure indexes and "immunize" our smartphones from unnecessary DNA attacks, through an application and worldwide map, with innovative patent-pending technology.

With helpful alerts and reminders, the app warns of high exposure in real-time. It suggests ways to mitigate it while notifying users when an environment is no longer safe for young children under international standards. Creating safer environments without high doses of radiation, MGT Alert is protecting people worldwide against the harmful effects of damaging non-ionizing radiation and smartphone cancer potential controversial effects.

"I remember having a headache one evening after a phone call. During the call, I kept getting notifications, and I asked myself, 'What's the point of all this?'" remarked Riccardo, the founder behind MGT Alert. "During a conversation or when the phone is not in use, I am not interested in receiving unnecessary radiation."

"We cannot ask people not to use the smartphone," Riccardo continued. "When we drive, seatbelts reduce the risk of damage. When we ride, the helmet protects us. This application has the same purpose. By receiving signals when they are not needed, we are less exposed to damaging smartphone radiation and can reduce global environmental pollution."

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
* iOS 11.0 or higher
* 22.4 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Mgt 9.1 is free, and is available worldwide through the App Store in the Utilities category. An Android version is also available through Google Play. A premium version of the application is expected to be released in the coming weeks.

AlphaDigits Top Rated Mobile Apps April 2020

A new article has been published at prMac.

AlphaDigits Top Rated Mobile Apps April 2020 - Published on 05/01/20

Mobile app review publisher AlphaDigits has named top rated applications for April 2020. ERH Residents provides sober living homes to those in recovery. crazyDrivers is a pretty challenging game despite its simplistic controls. Elmedia Players supports several video file formats. Show My Colors helps all those trying to look their best. Terapet Wars lives up to its name with its Viking-themed interface and adrenaline pumping music.

Long Island, New York - Mobile app review publisher AlphaDigits has named top rated applications for April 2020. AlphaDigits names five top class mobile apps every month based on the reviews published in the website during the particular month. This website has now released the names of top rated mobile apps for the month of April.

ERH Residents (10/10): With the launch of an app called ERH Residents, Eudaimonia's program of providing sober living homes to those in recovery has received a great fillip. The primary focus of the app is to make sure that the recovery experience is not only successful but also fun-filled. It's a known fact attested by the high rate of relapse that sober living residents often hit a roadblock in their recovery period due to a lack of credible support structure.

crazyDrivers (9.5/10): This is a pretty challenging game despite its simplistic controls. Pressing and holding the touchscreen will accelerate the car whereas sliding your finger across the screen will help you steer it through traffic and several obstacles. All you have to do is reach the finish line before the clock runs out. What makes the game challenging is the fact that the obstacles are not that easy to dodge at high speed and may very well test your ninja reflexes.

Elmedia Player (9/10): First off, Elmedia supports several file formats such as MP4, MP3, AVI, MOV, DAT, FLV, FLAC, M4V, Blu-ray and more. Another big plus with Elmedia is that is has the smarts to stream HD video without issue, and it even detects issues with the source file and will correct them, in real time, to ensure a clean streaming experience.

Show My Colors (8.5/10): If you are a person who is fashion conscious then you must have definitely heard people claiming that they are either a winter, a summer or a spring. If such phrases have left you intrigued and wondering where you fall into, then Show My Colors is the app for you. And given the fact that in today's consumerist society appearance does matter a lot and people judge a person on it before they see their talent, an app this can help all those trying to look their best.

Terapet Wars (8/10): This app lives up to its name with its Viking-themed interface and adrenaline pumping music reminiscent of medieval war anthems. The user plays the role of what is called a Puppeteer and has to control several mythical creatures to win battles against the enemy. Every creature has its signature powers and spells, which are used to destroy the opponent. This is where the excitement comes in. The graphics of the game, although not very refined, enhances its appeal dramatically.

Joe Ellen, an Editor at AlphaDigits said, "Mobile app usage has skyrocketed as more people stay at home. If you think it is the right time to market your app, we can help." Developers can also contact AlphaDigits through the onsite form or mail to get their apps reviewed.

iOS iSatFat App Update: Now with Extremely Powerful Search Facility

A new article has been published at prMac.

iOS iSatFat App Update: Now with Extremely Powerful Search Facility - Published on 05/01/20

Independent iOS Developer, James Hollender has updated his iSatFat app, which aids in determining Saturated Fat in foods. This is just one of ten apps updated to version 7.0 in the suite of iNutrient apps: iCarbs, iCholesterol, iFiber, iKals, iPotassium, iProteins, iSatFat, iSodium, iSugars and Vitamin K. Version 6.0 made the app capable of using the entire screen even of newer iPhones with the notch. Now version 7.0 brings back the Search feature, but one that's much more powerful.

Revere, Massachusetts - Independent iOS Developer, James Hollender has updated his iSatFat app, which is helpful to those with heart conditions because it aids in determining Saturated Fat levels in foods.

Version 6.0 made the app capable of using the entire screen even of newer iPhones with the "notch". Now version 7.0 brings back the Search feature, but one that's much more powerful. These apps include data from the USDA National Nutrient Database covering the following nutrients: Calories, Carbohydrates, Cholesterol, Fiber, Potassium, Proteins, Saturated Fat, Sodium, Sugars and Vitamin K. All ten apps are universal apps that can be used on the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch devices. The apps include information on how they can be upgraded to app bundles for additional significant savings, i.e., the cost of any apps previously purchased included in bundle is deducted from the cost of the app bundle.

The big new feature in version 7.0 of iSatFat is a search capability that allows for both simple and complex searches. There are two fields that can accommodate either words or phrases. Using only the first provides a simple search that looks for the supplied value in the title, description and USDA ID fields. If a second word or phrase is supplied, then the user has the choice of three operands for how the fields are evaluated: "AND", "OR" and "But Not". As the user enter or changes their values, an instantaneous display is given of how many records will be found. Pressing the "Results" button then displays the full list of matches found.

In the "Access My Records" section, each food serving for the day is listed in it's own section and the total daily amount of the nutrient is included in the day's heading. This makes comparing nutrient intake for each day an easy task.

The iSatFat app provides information about food servings and how they are rated for saturated fat content. This is provided as a means to assist in deciding which foods to eat. Many people with heart conditions have been instructed by their doctors to limit their intake of saturated fat to a specific level each day. The food servings in iSatFat are rated from EXTREMELY LOW to EXTREMELY HIGH in Saturated Fat content. The following colors help readily identify which is which:

* Black = Rated EXTREMELY HIGH in Saturated Fat (10.001 - 33.000 g)
* Dark Red = Rated VERY HIGH in Saturated Fat (5.001 - 10.000 g)
* Red = Rated HIGH in Saturated Fat (3.001 - 5.000 g)
* Orange = Rated MODERATELY HIGH in Saturated Fat (1.001 - 3.000 g)
* Yellow = Rated MODERATE in Saturated Fat (0.501 - 1.000 g)
* Light Green = Rated MODERATELY LOW in Saturated Fat (0.101 - 0.500 g)
* Green = Rated LOW in Saturated Fat (0.011 - 0.100 g)
* CYAN = Rated VERY LOW in Saturated Fat (0.001 - 0.010 g)
* WHITE = Rated EXTREMELY LOW in Saturated Fat (0.000 g)

There are eight tables listing foods:
* ALL FOODS (which include a search feature)
* Fast Foods
* Fruits & Vegetables
* Meat, Fish & Shellfish
* Dairy & Egg
* Cereal Grains & Pasta
* Sweets
* Snacks

Selecting a food in any of the tables will display pertinent information about the selected food serving:
* Food Title
* Weight (in grams)
* Common Measure (serving size for weight)
* Saturated Fat Content (in grams)
* Calories
* Percentage of Saturated Fat by Weight (if at least 1%)
* USDA Description
* USDA Food Group
* USDA Nutrient Database Number

Information is derived from the USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference: Fatty Acids, Total Saturated Content of Selected Foods per Common Measure. There are currently over 1,100 different food servings included, searchable using more than 2,500 names (some foods are know by different names or how thye are prepared, e.g., "Egg, Scrambled" and "Scrambled Egg"). Some have as many as six searchable names.

The Info page provides additional information about Saturated Fat:

"What is Saturated Fat?" - Describes what saturated fat is and where it comes from.

"Why Avoid Saturated Fat?" - Provides specific information concerning saturated fat, with some surprising facts users might not be aware of.

"Highest Saturated Fat Foods" - Lists 27 food servings containing the highest amount of saturated fat.

"How to Use this App" - Provides information on how to more fully understand the information presented.

"Access My Records" - Access up to a full year of collected information concerning servings recorded.

"Important Other Information" - Identifies the developer and allows the user to report problems, ask questions and make suggestions; Lists the other apps in the iNutrient series; View the User Agreement; and a special Bonus feature.

The iCholesterol app is one of 10 apps in the iNutrients collection. Others include:
* iCarbs - Carbohydrates - great for bodybuilders or diabetics
* iCholesterol - Dietary Cholesterol - for those wanting to watch their cholesterol intake
* iFiber - Fiber - for those interested in getting enough fiber in their diet
* iKals - Calories - for anyone watching their calories
* iPotassium - Potassium - helps with anxiety, stress, blood pressure, brain function, cramps and many other ailments
* iProteins - Proteins - great for bodybuilders, vegetarians or vegans needing to make sure they get enough protein in their diet
* iSodium - Sodium - for those who want to cut down on their salt intake
* iSugars - Sugars - for those concerned with getting too much added sugar in their diet
* Vitamin K - Vitamins K1, K1D and K2 - For users of blood thinning medications like Coumadin or Warfarin

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad
* Requires iOS 12 or later

Pricing and Availability:

Instead of the USDA partial selection of foods used in the individual iNutrient apps, the iNutrients app includes all foods and food servings in the entire USDA National Nutrient Database for those nutrients. It also includes the capability for altering the color scale for each nutrient if desired. And Custom Foods can be created for those not included in the USDA database. Even an entire meal's nutrient information could be included in a single Custom Food definition to make entry even simpler. The iNutrients app is available for less than the cost of three individual iNutrient apps and is specially reduced during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

* Black = Rated extremely high in Calories (500 - 1,181)
* Dark Red = Rated very high in Calories (400 - 499)
* Red = Rated high in Calories (300 - 399)

The app offers three different kinds of lookup: Search, Alphabetical, or Category. Users can enter any search term to query the database's 1,100 entries (some entries have multiple names). Alphabetical searches of the complete list is simplified through a thumb index, which opens any letter of the alphabet immediately. Finally, users can search alphabetically through any of seven category listings:

* Fast Foods
* Fruits & Vegetables
* Meat, Fish & Shellfish
* Dairy & Eggs
* Cereal Grains & Pasta
* Sweets
* Snacks

The database is truly encyclopedic. For example, looking up "Milk" brings up more than 35 different listings.

Feature Highlights:
* Lookup, customize, and record daily carbohydrate intake
* Comprehensive database of foods based on the USDA National Nutrient Database
* Lookup by Search, Category, or Alphabetical
* More than 1,100 foods listed from more than 2,500 searchable names
* Includes listings for Fast Foods

Selecting an item in any of the tables will display pertinent information about the selected food serving:

* Food Title
* Weight in grams
* Common Measure, e.g., 1/2 cup, etc.
* Calories
* Color coding for quick identification of caloric content range
* USDA Description
* USDA Food Group
* USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference ID

Touching the Record button on the top right to add an item to the user's daily food intake, the calorie watcher can specify a serving size between .1 and 9.9 times the standard serving. Users can easily dial in the exact serving size using a slider and buttons for extra fine control of their selection. With the serving size adjusted, users just touch the Record button in the top right to have the revised entry added to their daily intake.

Records of servings are kept for a full year before being automatically deleted from the database. Recorded servings can be edited to change the date or number of servings. They can also be deleted if necessary.

Information is derived from the USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference: Energy (kcal) Content of Selected Foods per Common Measure. There are currently over 1,100 different food servings included, searchable using approximately 2,500 names (some foods are known by different names or how they are prepared, e.g., "Egg, Scrambled" and "Scrambled Egg"). A few of these have as many as six searchable names. The Info page provides additional information about Saturated Fat:

* What are Calories? - Wikipedia(R) definition

* Calorie Recommendations - Provides information for different groups, e.g., Sedentary women, older adults, children, teenage girls, active men, etc.; plus the USDA Dietary Guidelines for Americans

* Highest Calorie Foods - Lists 28 different foods containing the highest amounts of Calories

Prague, Czech Republic - 24U Software has released fmRESTor.js, a JavaScript version of the popular open-source library, designed for custom web app developers to easily integrate their JavaScript code with the RESTful FileMaker Data API without having to go through an intermediate PHP component hosted on a web server.

fmRESTor was originally developed as an object-based PHP library developed to seamlessly interact with databases and custom apps hosted on a FileMaker Server via the new powerful FileMaker Data API from within a PHP code.

The new version extends its reach to JavaScript developers as well, providing the same ease of use, but without the need to know a single bit of PHP. By not relying on any hosted intermediate component, fmRESTor can now be used to directly talk to FileMaker Server even from specific environments, such as Web Viewer in FileMaker layouts.

Features of fmRESTor:
* One object class conveniently handles everything
* Automatically generates authentication token
* Re-uses existing token to avoid unnecessary additional connections
* Automatically re-generates expired token
* Handles exceptions and provides meaningful error results
* Can handle raw form data for easier container uploads
* Provides customizable debug logging
* Simple way to run scripts and gather database information with FileMaker Server 18

Features added in fmRESTor.js:
* Version for JavaScript
* Can connect to FileMaker Data API directly from web client, without need for web server
* Interactive demo to try the library out without having to write a single line of code

Requirements:
fmRESTor.js requires a modern web browser with JavaScript support and a FileMaker Server 17 or 18 to connect to.

Availability and Pricing:
The two flavors of fmRESTor are now available as fmRESTor.php and fmRESTor.js to make it easy for web developers. fmRESTor is available free of charge as open source, licensed under the "GNU LGPLv3" License. 24U greatly appreciates any feedback and contributions, but cannot provide free support for the tool. Developers may hire 24U to help them with their projects, either by purchasing paid support or by utilizing 24U's custom development services.
