B&G SRL today announces Vintape 1.3.1, a minor update to their popular vintage cassette music player for iOS. Vintape replaces the modern music player on any iDevice with a retro cassette player interface. Users can rewind or fast-forward the cassette tape with a rotation gesture, as well as choose from a number of different cassette skins to make the experience their own. B&G is bringing back the 80's with their latest mobile app release. Version 1.3.1 fixes very minor issues.

Rome, Italy - B&G is bringing back the 80's with their latest mobile app release, Vintape. Across the world, vintage is in. Whether it's clothing or your home decor, it's cool to be vintage. Now the way people listen to music can have vintage style too. Vintape brings the nostalgia of the cassette player to any iOS device.

B&G's Vintape app replaces the modern music player on an iOS device with a funky cassette player interface. Users can choose from a number of different cassette skins to make the experience their own. The cassette player experience can be as vintage as the user wants. Users can rewind or fast-forward the cassette tape with a rotation gesture. The gesture mimics the gesture used when actually turning the dials of a real cassette tape. Users are also able to enable background tape noise, so the music sounds as if it originated off of a real cassette tape. Of course, if users prefer not to hear the hiss of the tape, it can be disabled.

"We noticed that 80's style is in, so we wanted to pay homage to the cassette players," explains Stefano Galizia, CEO of B&G. "Vintape lets users have that 80's music listening experience with their modern day technology. They can make it as vintage or as modern as they please."

The app is also compatible with Apple headphone commands, so if users wish to control the app with the buttons on their headphones, they're able to do so.

Like any music player, Vintape lets users create playlists. Each playlist makes up a cassette tape in the mobile app. As users create more playlists, they build their collection of cassette tapes. Their collection is displayed so users see the "top" of the cassettes with the names of each playlist. With Vintape, playlists are no longer just lists. They're lists with 80's flare.
