Cupertino, California - Flying Pig has announced the release of both Edouard POS and Edouard Warehouse version 1.5. Edouard POS 1.5 brings bug fixes and performances improvements versus version 1.4.3 while Edouard Warehouse 1.5 is a complete new application with three new sections: Inventory, Resupply and Purchases.
Edouard Warehouse 1.5 is reborn as a complete and simple mobile inventory management platform accessible for SMBs. The previously scanning section becomes inventory and still displays the inventory information after a scan of a product barcode. Inventory now allows the user to scan batches barcodes generated by Edouard and edit and print on label batches information.
Resupply handles requests to move goods from one storage location to another within the company. It is particularly useful when organizing workshops as storage locations or when dealing with multiple retail stores. Purchases allows to receive pending orders from the warehouse dock. It also allows to print batch labels to identify inventory items from the moment they crosse the door.
The label can be designed from Edouard 1.5 and include a automatically generated barcode. To make hardware selection easier, Edouard Warehouse no longer supports the iSMP but only the Linea Pro 5 and iOS devices running iOS 7.1+. For label printing, it uses AirPrint to offer flexibility in printer choices but FP recommends the use of the Brother QL-720NW for quick and quality results, especially with barcodes. Edouard Warehouse is bringing to SMBs the power of handheld devices inventory solutions reserved until now to big companies.
Both apps follow Edouard and Edouard Server updates to 1.5 to keep consistancy in version numbers. As all application rely on others features to work, it is important for users to keep their Edouard apps at same versions for compatibility. Finally, both apps become free to download but each connection will use one connection slot on your Edouard Server's license.
