Take Charge of Financial Future With Mutual Fund Signals 1.0 for iOS - Published on 04/22/14

Independent developer Axel Rivera has introduced Mutual Fund Signals 1.0, his new financial tracking app for iOS devices. Using 50-day and 200-day Simple Moving Averages, Mutual Fund Signals generates Buy and Sell signals for No-Load Mutual Funds and ETFs. These long-term indicators help users identify the beginning of a Bull or Bear market. Fast and convenient, Mutual Fund Signals helps small investors have an accurate picture of their Mutual Fund and/or ETF positions so they can take action.

San Juan, Puerto Rico - Independent developer Axel Rivera has announced the release of Mutual Fund Signals 1.0, his new financial tracking app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. Mutual Fund Signals provides users with a fast and accurate picture of their mutual fund and/or ETF positions. Users can then determine whether they should sell or hold their mutual fund and/or ETF positions.

Using 50-day and 200-day Simple Moving Averages, Mutual Fund Signals generates Buy and Sell signals for No-Load Mutual Funds and ETFs. These long-term indicators - known as "Golden Cross" and "Death Cross" - help users identify the beginning of a Bull or Bear market. Although this data can be validated with a pencil and graph paper, Mutual Fund Signals allows users to save and keep track of the user's positions quickly and conveniently.

Feature Highlights:
* Clean and simple design
* Signals generated using 50-day and 200-day Simple Moving Averages
* Ability to group positions between "My Positions," "Watchlist," and "Indexes"
* Signals include Buy, Sell, Avoid, and Sideways
* Displays Recent Buy and Sell signals
* Fullscreen charts that reflect 3 month, 1 year, and 10 year trends
* Autocompletion when searching new positions
* Recommended for long-term mutual fund and ETF positions
* Optimized for retina displays
* Ability to share on Facebook, Twitter, or via email

Mutual Fund Signals is only recommended for long-term positions since signals are generated on average once a year. The 200-day moving average is a popular, quantified, long-term trend indicator so markets trading above the 200-day moving average tend to be in longer term uptrends. Markets trading below the 200-day moving average tend to be in longer term downtrends. Mutual Fund Signals is not recommended for Stocks since they are too volatile and their value can change significantly before the user can take action.

A Buy signal is generated when the 50-day moving average closes above the 200-day moving average. Also, the 200-day moving average should have an up angle. A Sell signal is generated when the 50-day moving average closes below the 200-day moving average. Moving averages do not provide accurate signals when both 50-day and 200-day are moving sideways. In such a case, users should do additional research to confirm the signal and take action.

Mutual Fund Signals allows users to view their positions in three different modes: My Positions, Watchlist, and Indexes. Under Settings, users can set the range of the position detail and the fullscreen chart, purchase the ad-free version of the app, show equity warnings when adding a position, and share to Facebook, Twitter and email. There is also a Guide available to help users understand the signals and their meanings.

"The average investor is not trained to buy and sell stocks - at least, I wasn't!" says independent developer Axel Rivera. "I decided to build Mutual Fund Signals solely as a tool to help me manage my Mutual Fund portfolio. I had recently become interested in investing and began reading lots of material on the subject. During my research, I came across the methodology of Technical Analysis. Being a computer programmer by trade, Technical Analysis made sense to be. Although Mutual Fund Signals does not offer professional financial advice or recommends the buying and selling of particular securities, I hope Mutual Fund Signals can help fellow investors take charge of their financial future."

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
* Requires iOS 7.0 or later
* 2.7 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Mutual Fund Signals is free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Finance category. An ad-free version is available for the in-app purchase of $4.99 (USD).
