Moscow based TeoreX releases PhotoScissors 2.0, a background removal software for Mac and Windows. The cross-platform application quickly removes unwanted backgrounds from photos yet does not require any specific skills from a user. With a few clicks, a user can get rid of the background, smooth contours of the object, crop the image to a specified size and add a transparent shadow. The new version also features major performance improvements.
Moscow, Russia - TeoreX is proud to announce PhotoScissors, a background removal software for Mac and Windows. Users rarely expect perfect results from one-click applications. Yet PhotoScissors 2.0 manages to prove the opposite. Being a tiny application both for Windows and Mac platforms, PhotoScissors demonstrates surprisingly good results. In fact, having this app in the toolbox, a user can remove even complex backgrounds from photos in short time and with literally few mouse strokes.
PhotoScissors 2.0 provides a number of improvements to further enhance results and reduce time required to obtain them. In particular, the improved edge feathering algorithm plus the "Offset Boundary" option allow for much neater and more precise contours of the cut out object. The "Shadow" option quickly applies a transparent shadow to the picture - a great way to instantly make images of eBay goods look better; while automatic crop helps fitting the image to the specified boundaries. The new interactive processing mode optionally allows applying all changes to the image in real time.
PhotoScissors performance was already enjoyable, but in the second version, the processing speed has been further increased. The algorithm analyzing colors and contours of an image has also got several major improvements for faster and more precise processing. Finally, the app now uses less RAM and CPU and features a lot of GUI enhancements.
