WeBoard Kickstarter Campaign - Keyboard for Apple and Android Watches - Published on 03/23/15
California-based developer, Erik Groset, today announces his new Kickstarter campaign for WeBoard, a simplified and efficient keyboard innovation for Apple Watch and Android Wear. Unlike the traditional keyboard, WeBoard enhances screen usage by providing watch owners with an uncrowded and friendly keyboard interface. Wrist sensored movements control menus, options, larger keys, and more. The campaign will help bring this new feature to Apple Watch and Android Wear users around the world.
Carlsbad, California - Named as top 100 entrepreneur under 30 by President Obama, developer Erik Groset, today is proud to announce his Kickstarter campaign for WeBoard, a simplified and efficient keyboard innovation for Apple Watch and Android Wear. Tagged into the Wearables category, the WeBoard campaign presents a keyboard with larger keys and better input actions for menus, options, and other features. The keyboard is controlled by wrist sensored movements that easily replace the nuisance of voice input.
The WeBoard app removes the sensation of being in a crowded and confined space when dealing with the native keyboard. Instead, it uses a simplified and easy approach that allows users the freedom to customize and control the keyboard for optimal efficiency. WeBoard will do away with the original keyboard that takes up a third of the screen and replace it with a set of bigger keys, which will scroll in the footer.
WeBoard's predictable and stable movements are created by various wrist activated sensors that allow users to make traditional keyboard based input. A slight wrist movement upwards, downwards, or side to side will prompt the keyboard to show a different set of data that users can input. Keys could be divided by lines, quadrants and more. Because the undersized keyboard takes up less space, it allows a user to see outgoing and incoming messages on the same screen, much like texting.
WeBoard is perfect for owners of the Apple Watch or Android Wear, whom would like a productive way of communicating without the hassle of tiny keyboards. It is also a great option for individuals who would rather keep their privacy intact, without having to rely on voice input, while in public spaces - not to mention, the inaccuracy that accompanies voice input applications.
Users can simply install the app onto their watch and choose it as the default keyboard. It can even be customized with long-press keys that display an alternative input, such as caps, numbers, symbols, accent marks, or emojis. Also, the color of the background and keys can be changed to suit preferences. WeBoard will expand customization capabilities as Kickstarter funds grow.

The Kickstarter campaign will fund the development of a WeBoard, so that users will have the highest quality input. WeBoard is currently patent pending and the WeBoard team promises to never lend user information to third parties, as part of their core values of integrity.
"WeBoard was born from my own frustrations with a keyboard that didn't allow me to interact with my device" said Erik Grosset, owner of WeBoard. "My wearables became nothing more than potentially great products that I just couldn't use. I like the freedom of using a full keyboard to manipulate my most important communication pieces in a way that benefits me and respects my time. The goal for WeBoard is to remove poor quality from the equation, so watch owners like me can concentrate on messaging with a full keyboard, on the go. We hope you enjoy WeBoard as much as we'll enjoy bringing it to life for you!"
