Sydney, Australia - Award winning, Shiny Things is pleased to announce their latest addition, Quick Math Jr. for iOS devices. Number sense development in the early years has a big impact on future mathematics achievement, so it's important for young children to have a lot of practice. Children gain strong number sense when they understand what number means and Quick Math Jr. helps children learn foundational mathematics through a collection of fun, interactive mini-games.
"It's time to stop playing catch up with the kids and start leading the way with learning-rich technology." Marge Scherer, writer, Educational Leadership
"We believe that technology has the potential to be a powerful tool, and our goal is to harness this to create high quality and useful learning tools." Mat Peterson, Founder, Shiny Things
With adaptive difficulty to quickly place children at the right level and keep them in their zone of proximal development, Quick Math Jr. helps learners progress from simple number identification to formal arithmetic. The app is aligned with preschool and kindergarten curriculums, and helps children progress from beginner counting games to formal addition and subtraction. Quick Math Jr. even recognises your child's handwriting, so children also practice handwriting skills as they progress from tracing numbers to handwriting their answers on screen.

As a first grade teacher, I cannot say enough good things about this app. It differentiates based on the needs of the child, uses essential math awareness activities, has short and easy activities for the students to engage in, and rewards the kids for a job well done with the build a monster pieces.
Perfect math game app for kids - by Mamamonk86
I've downloaded several math apps for my young children. This is by far the most innovative and best. They love the rewards they get for completing lessons. They love building the little monsters and making more 'friends'. Superb app.
My son's favorite app! - by Noservice
My kindergartener no longer asks to watch videos on my phone. He just wants to play "my math journey." Numbers are his thing, and this app is perfect. It learns along with him & increases in difficulty as he successfully completes tasks. Highly recommended!
