SeedCode today announces DayBack Calendar, the add-on scheduling calendar for FileMaker Pro Databases. DayBack Calendar now lets users balance their workload more easily with Multi-Day Resource Scheduling. Users can see their workload as a series of columns, each representing the tasks, activities or appointments allocated to each resource. This new view is delivered as an in-app update, so there is no need for existing calendar users to re-integrate DayBack Calendar with their database.
Seattle, Washington - DayBack Calendar, the add on scheduling calendar for FileMaker Pro Databases, now lets users balance their workload more easily with Multi-Day Resource Scheduling. Users now scan across their resources two weeks at a time, looking for gaps in the schedule, or resources that are overextended. This new view is delivered as an in-app update so existing calendar users can click to install this from within their own copy: there is no need to re-integrate DayBack Calendar with their database.
"If you've already integrated DayBack Calendar into your FileMaker solution you know that we're releasing regular in-app updates to add new features," says SeedCode's John Sindelar "This innovation means that DayBack just keeps getting better once you start using it, and it we look forward to deploying more great new stuff this way."
Multi-Day Resource scheduling is something you won't see in Google Calendar or iCal. It let's you see your workload as a series of columns, each representing the tasks, activities or appointments allocated to each resource. These "resources" can be people, trucks, rooms--anything that customers are competing for within your company.
Once your workload is allocated among resources this way, the Multi-Day Resource view lets you scan across these columns for up to 14 days at a time. This makes it easy to spot gaps in the schedule. SeedCode's CEO, John Sindelar, explains how customers use this: "A contractor may call asking if they can get a piece of heavy equipment late in the afternoon one day next week. Using this multi-day view it's easy to filter down to just those pieces of equipment that can do the job, and then to scan across the days to see on which day one of these pieces is free for a couple of hours in the afternoon. If your resources are people, this view also makes it really easy to see who has more or less work allocated to them and to easily drag the overage to an under-allocated individual."
Drag-and-drop rescheduling on the the multi-day view makes balancing resource allocations easily.
DayBack Calendar is Completely unlocked and can be added to existing FileMaker databases following simple step-by-step instructions. It can be "linked" to your file in as little as ten minutes, or pasted into your file as a new layout. In addition to Multi-Day Resource Scheduling, DayBack Calendar offers:
