LinkOptimizer 4.9.46 for InDesign Adds New Photoshop Action Options - Published on 08/05/15

Zevrix Solutions has announced LinkOptimizer 4.9.46, a feature update to its workflow automation solution for Adobe InDesign. LinkOptimizer lets users reduce the size of InDesign links and speed up processing by resizing images to their InDesign dimensions at the target resolution, as well as converting colors and file formats. The new version gives users an option to run Photoshop actions prior to all other processing, which is especially helpful for applying smart filters before image is resized.

Toronto (ON) Canada - Zevrix Solutions has announced the release of LinkOptimizer 4.9.46, a maintenance update to its workflow automation solution for Adobe InDesign. Awarded 4 out of 5 stars by Computer Arts magazine, LinkOptimizer automates complex image manipulation tasks and allows to reduce the size of InDesign links, repurpose them for web and mobile devices, save processing time and reduce production costs.

The new version adds an option to run a Photoshop action prior to all other operations on the image. Previously, the action could only be called as the last operation. This new option was introduced by user requests to allow the application of Photoshop smart filters prior to image resizing, resolution resampling and other editing. Smart filters allow Photoshop to keep an embedded image version in its original resolution, which enables users to change the file back to its original size at later stages without loosing any quality.

"LinkOptimizer has become an essential part of our workflow," says Peter Blossom of American Cruise Lines in Guilford, Connecticut. "It saves hours of time, tediously replacing linked images, resizing and batch processing. LinkOptimizer makes our projects so much easier to prep for the printer."

LinkOptimizer offers the following main features:
* Resize images to match their InDesign dimensions at target resolution
* Reduce link size by eliminating excess image data
* Convert colors and apply ICC profile
* Merge layers and delete hidden ones
* Convert image formats
* Optimize files for web and mobile devices
* Run a Photoshop Action on each image

Pricing and Availability:
LinkOptimizer can be purchased from Zevrix website for $259.95 USD (Light version: $179.95) as well as from authorized resellers and Adobe Exchange. Trial is also available for download. The update is free for LinkOptimizer 4.x users and $130 to upgrade from previous versions. LinkOptimizer requires Mac OS X 10.6-10.10 and Adobe InDesign and Photoshop CS3-CC 2015.
