California-based TamerZone LLC announces Marquee Mash 1.1, the first update to the word game for iOS devices, originally released in December. Suitable for all ages, Marquee Mash is aimed at word lovers looking for a quick puzzle break. Players remove letters from signs to answer crossword-style clues. The new version adds new content, after 15% of players who installed the original version completed all of the movie title puzzles included with the original release.

Cupertino, California - TamerZone LLC today is pleased to announce the release of Marquee Mash 1.1, the first update to their word game for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. The update provides more content, after approximately 15% of players completed all of the movie title puzzles included with the initial December release.

In Marquee Mash, players remove letters from signs to answer crossword-style clues. It is aimed at word lovers looking for a quick puzzle break. Each puzzle consists of a clue and a sign displaying a movie title, musical act, or celebrity name. The challenge is to remove letters from the sign so the remaining letters answer the clue. When a puzzle is solved, the player earns a gold coin for each removed letter and can proceed to the next puzzle.

"I was caught off guard by how quickly some players solved all the puzzles, which is sort of a good problem to have" said Nabil Tamer, the game's developer. "Version 1.1 adds more signs to the existing Movies and Musical Acts puzzle packs, and introduces a new Famous People pack with hundreds of celebrity names. For some reason, politicians' names produced some of the funniest puzzles."

Difficulty ranges from simple to tricky. Gold coins can be exchanged for hints that remove a letter or restore a letter that was incorrectly removed. More gold coins can be bought via in-app purchase.
