Over The Bars - Road Bike Racing is an arcade road bike racing game that you control with your bicycle when paired to a Wahoo KICKR indoor power trainer. This unique app gives players the ultimate workout challenge while tearing through a beautiful island beachfront course, complete with hills, bridges, and the most aggressive opponents you can find on a bicycle.

Wellington, Florida - DDH Software, Inc. today is proud to announce the release of Over The Bars - Road Bike Racing 1.0, a brand new game for iPhones, iPads, and Apple TV. Over The Bars - Road Bike Racing is an arcade road bike racing game that you control with your bicycle when paired to a Wahoo KICKR indoor power trainer. A first of its kind, Over The Bars gives players the ultimate workout challenge while tearing through a beautiful island beachfront course, complete with hills, bridges, and the most aggressive opponents you can find on a bicycle.

With your iPhone or iPad mounted to your handle bars, Over The Bars makes use of your bicycles built-in steering inputs- your handlebars, to control your rider in the game. And with your Wahoo KICKR or KICKR Snap indoor power trainer, your own strength and endurance is put to the test as you grind your way through climbs that are reflected in the KICKR's resistance braking, and sprint back down while battling it out with other AI controlled cyclists. Of course, the game can still be enjoyed even without the KICKR and handlebar mount- there are modes to play just by tilting the device to steer and accelerate.

Power-ups can be found on the course, giving you speed boosts, a "bed of nails" you can drop and cripple your other players, and many other good and horrible surprises await the player. Be careful though, as this game is high stakes- it's not called Over The Bars for nothing. The spills and wrecks are spectacular, with ragdoll physics and cringe worthy falls that make you glad you're just playing a game, and not risking your life on the real road.

"There are so many cyclists who spend thousands of dollars on their bikes and struggle to find places and opportunities to ride where they can battle and sprint other riders of similar abilities," says Dave Haupert, President of DDH Software, Inc. Using an open API, developers can control the resistance, measure the speed and power, and create awesome training experiences for riders.
