Indie developer Spencer Milanak announces Backup Alarm - Alarm Clock 1.0 his app for iPhone and iPod touch. Backup Alarm lets users set a second alarm to only go off if they sleep through their main alarm. With Backup Alarm, they'll be woken up if they oversleep their main alarm, without needlessly being bothered if they're already awake. Available now on the iOS App Store.

Winston-Salem, NC - Independent developer Spencer Milanak is proud to announce the release of Backup Alarm - Alarm Clock 1.0 his app for iPhone and iPod touch, that allows you to set a second alarm to only go off if you are still asleep at the set time. This means that if you happen to oversleep your alarm you'll be woken up, without bothering you with an alarm if you're already awake. This feature will stop people from being late to work, school, or something else because they overslept their alarm.

Backup Alarm can tell if you're still asleep using location services or the step tracker feature built directly into your phone. You decide which one to use. When a backup alarm by location is set to go off, it will first check if you are inside the specified region. If you are, then it will sound, but if you aren't, it will not go off. When a backup alarm by steps is set to go off, it will first check if you've taken more steps than the minimum that you set earlier. If you have, it won't sound, but if you haven't, it will sound.

With Backup Alarm, you don't have to worry about accidentally oversleeping and being late to work, school, or something else. Everything is taken care of by Backup Alarm.
