The app is made available under a novel sales model: it is free to use with no time restrictions, but an In-App Purchase will permanently unlock all premium features released in the coming year. This strikes a much needed balance between the interests of the developer and the consumer.


Amsterdam, The Netherlands - Momenta B.V. today is proud to announce the release of Agenda 1.1, a new note taking application for macOS. Agenda is a date-focused note taking app for planning and documenting projects. The app is made available under a novel sales model: it is free to use with no time restrictions, but an In-App Purchase will permanently unlock all premium features released in the coming year. This strikes a much needed balance between the interests of the developer and the consumer.

Designed with serious note takers in mind, from business professionals and technical users, to students and artists, Agenda is for anyone who needs well organized and easily navigable notes to drive a project forward. By grouping notes for each project into a timeline, it is easier to plan for the future, and refer back to past decisions. Notes can be manually ordered in the timeline, or given a date - they can even be coupled to events in the Calendar app.

Agenda features a clean and crisp minimalistic design, which puts the focus on note content. Styled text leads to consistent and attractive documents which feel as if printed on paper. The text editor is very powerful, with support for headings, lists (including checklists), tags and indentation.

Agenda also has advanced navigational features that are rarely seen in note taking apps. The app includes saved searches, a navigation history, related notes list, cross linking between notes, and tagging. Notes sync across multiple Macs via iCloud, and will also sync to iOS when development on the iPhone/iPad app completes in the first half of 2018.

Agenda's sales model is quite unique. The app itself is free, with no time limits. There are extra premium features which require an In-App Purchase to unlock. When an upgrade pack is purchased, all current features are permanently unlocked across all Macs. In addition, any features added to Agenda in the 12 months following the purchase are included, and permanently unlocked as well. This model has a number of advantages over traditional desktop app sales models:

* Agenda 1.1 is available to everyone, including all bug fixes. Nobody need be 'stuck' on an older version.
* The customer is not locked into a subscription to keep using the app. The features they have already purchased are unlocked forever.
* There are no major upgrades, forcing customers to pay to keep using the app. Customers can decide whether new features warrant a new purchase, and keep using the latest version even if they decide not to upgrade.
