Caidanshuo2 is an important part of Creekcats' growing lineup of fine menu translation apps. The idea for the original app, Le Menu Dit 1.0, came to Phil while biking along the Danube with his family. The group stopped for dinner, and were frustrated while attempting to order from a German language menu, even though Phil knew a smattering of the language. When the group attempted to use the popular Word Lens app to translate the menu, it only proved to be an even more frustrating experience, with end results were at best, disappointing.
While expressing his annoyance, Phil announced that he could write a better app, and his mother challenged him on the spot to do so, even offering to invest in the project if Phil moved forward with his idea. Once Phil returned from the trip, he and his two friends, Nathan Addy and Yixing (Ethan) Chen, began working on developing the original app.

"Caidanshuo2 has been well received by users, and our user numbers continue to climb," says Phil Price, inventor of the app. "However, we want everyone to be able to experience the app's fantastically useful abilities, so we changed the pricing structure to offer even more users the opportunity to experience its amazing menu translation abilities, via a free trial."
Caidanshuo2 is an important part of Creekcats' growing lineup of fine menu translation apps. The idea for the original app, Le Menu Dit 1.0, came to Phil while biking along the Danube with his family. The group stopped for dinner, and were frustrated while attempting to order from a German language menu, even though Phil knew a smattering of the language. When the group attempted to use the popular Word Lens app to translate the menu, it only proved to be an even more frustrating experience, with end results were at best, disappointing.
While expressing his annoyance, Phil announced that he could write a better app, and his mother challenged him on the spot to do so, even offering to invest in the project if Phil moved forward with his idea. Once Phil returned from the trip, he and his two friends, Nathan Addy and Yixing (Ethan) Chen, began working on developing the original app.
Caidanshuo2, like all of the other apps in the Creekcats translator app lineup, concentrates on doing one task, and doing it well. It quickly translates a menu from English to Chinese, displaying the translation in a clear, easy to read manner, making it easy for anyone to simply point to what they want to order, making for an enjoyable dining experience, no matter the language barrier. Menu translation is merely a matter of point, shoot, crop, and wait a moment for the translation.
