The service provides a free online environment for language translation, knowledge sharing, language practice and more, and is available on the App Store, Google Play.

All you need for translation and language learning:
Powered by an international community, Lingvo Live provides the definitions and translations of the most popular words and phrases, even some that are not registered in dictionaries yet. Lingvo Live users can look up words and phrases in reliable licensed dictionaries, create the interactive Social Dictionary together with their fellow-users and ask the community for advice or help with translations. Entries with suggested translations can be ranked and commented on by any community member. Also, users share observations and notes about learning languages, traveling and exploring new cultures, making Lingvo Live a compelling and useful app for travelers, language learners and armchair explorers, alike.

High-quality dictionaries available for free:
Currently, Lingvo Live supports 14 popular languages. It provides more than 130 dictionaries licensed by publishers including the world famous dictionaries from HarperCollins Publishers. Lingvo Live includes more than 6,100,000 entries from the well-known dictionaries that are all available for free and 33,000 entries in The Social Dictionary created by users of the service. 5000 words and phrases are looked up by community members every day.
