Described as a "very cool app indeed" by the Daily App Show (19 Jul 2011), Movie Genius offers a robust search function to help users find their favorite movies to rate by searching via title or actor. Additional recommendations can be received after the user determines a rating and badges display the number of movies that Movie Genius recommends. Exploring new movies is just as easy, as search results are displayed by highest rating first. Users can also change search displays to suit preferences.

A fully interactive app, Movie Genius allows users to share their recommendations via Twitter, Facebook, and email. Users also have the ability of saving the suggested movie to create a customized list of films they would like to see. Movies can be added to several lists and renamed in any way.
