Do you constantly leave your reusable grocery bags in the car? They don't do any good there! Get Your Grocery Bag is an iOS app that will remind you to carry your grocery bags into the store with you. First, add the grocery stores you visit most frequently to your Favorites list. Then, when you arrive at the store, the app will send you a notification on your phone to "Get your grocery bags!" If you mirror reminders on your Apple Watch, you'll get a tap on the wrist.

In California, approximately 247 million pounds - that's 24 billion bags! - end up in landfills every year. More than 85 California cities and counties, large and small, have adopted local ordinances prohibiting retailers from using single-use plastic shopping bags, with more than 30 bag bans adopted this year alone. Prohibitions on single-use disposable bags will soon cover one-third of California's population. This app will help all of us cultivate the habit of carrying our reusable bags with us into the grocery store - no more paying a bag charge or contributing to a landfill.

* Search and select your favorite grocery stores. Search for grocery stores near your current location or search by city or zip code.
* Adjust the notification distance. You can raise or lower the notification distance for each store so that you get the reminder at the most opportune time for that store. If the reminder occurs when you are too far from the store, you can lower the notification distance. If the reminder doesn't occur until after you've left the car and walked into the store, you can increase the notification distance to be sure you get the reminder in time.
* View the selected store in a map view. You can also request directions to the store.

Set it and forget it! Launch the app. Set your favorite grocery stores. That's it! Get Your Grocery Bags will take it from there!
