Mac Accounting Software Promotes Join the Cloud at 2014 Macworld Expo - Published on 03/27/14
Accountek Solutions Inc. will promote its new "Join the Cloud" initiative during the first day of the 2014 Macworld Expo. Attendees will be some of the first to see a new browser based cloud deployment of the Connected Accounting and ERP Software that is platform independent, as well as the release of Connected version 7.2. Connected Accounting and ERP Software can be deployed in a traditional network environment using Mac and/or PC's to access and/or serve the data.

Attendees will be some of the first to see a new browser based cloud deployment of the Connected Accounting and ERP Software that is platform independent.
"We are very excited about our new "Join the Cloud" initiative. This is really going to help put the focus on different access options for our new and existing users alike," says Scott Archer, Director of Product Development. "Accounting departments in SMB's have been very slow to embrace cloud access, and sometimes with good reasons. We want to show folks how Connected can be deployed completely in the cloud with a secure browser based access or how they can leverage select parts of the database with third party products using our ever expanding Connected Data Exchange."
Connected Accounting and ERP Software can be deployed in a traditional network environment using Mac and/or PC's to access and/or serve the data. Connected can also be deployed as a fully hosted cloud application, using the DTS vDESK Web Access technology, which allows easy access via any web browser, using a Mac or a PC.
The Connected "Data Exchange" focuses entirely on the automation of data transfer to and from the Connected Accounting and ERP application. This automation can help businesses avoid full-blown cloud deployment of their accounting and financial information by transferring select data in and out of a FileMaker Pro database or external web application. Data import and export jobs can be scheduled to run concurrently on set intervals.
"There is a real need for businesses to efficiently update other locations, such as a global head office or external data base that powers a website," Scott explains. "The Data Exchange can help a business benefit from cloud access on select parts of their accounting system, usually, the ones that avoid sensitive financial information."
Whether Connected is deployed in the traditional network model or using the hosted cloud option, there have been plenty of new advancements recently introduced in Connected 7.2. Enhancements that will be notable to the tech savvy crowd at Macworld 2014 are:
* Integration with Authorize.netTM payment gateway for accepting credit card payments. Includes support for multiple merchant and bank account options.
* Batch email delivery of customer statements using a customer specific email subject and message body for personalized delivery
* Enhanced customer lookup screen with multi criteria query ability to search and locate customers on multiple values in a single search
* Complete support for Mac OS X Mavericks
