Being able to recall simple math facts quickly is essential when doing more complex math. TeachMe: Math Facts is the sixth installment in the popular TeachMe series of educational apps for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.
TeachMe: Math Facts helps teach math facts by giving quizzes by fact group (for example multiplication by 5's). If a student earns a gold trophy in a fact group quiz, they graduate to the next fact group. If a student does not get a gold trophy on a quiz, the app will give extra practice on incorrectly answered questions, as well as on questions that they took a long time to answer. This extra practice is done by reviewing single questions and also timed questions 3 at a time. Once the student has reviewed problematic questions, they are given the chance to retake the quiz in that fact group.
TeachMe: Math Facts keeps children engaged with a unique reward system in which children earn coins by playing learning games at the school. They can move around the rest of TeachTown to spend their coins on fun rewards. Children can build their dream home in the TeachTown Neighborhood, make creative photos at the Photobooth, collect stretchable shapes at the Shape Store, visit their virtual aquarium at the Fish Store, and decorate different scenes at the Art Store. The simple and intuitive user interface is child friendly, allowing children to play without help from an adult. Mimi Mouse, the animated teacher, gives verbal instructions and feedback in a positive way to encourage the student to learn and succeed!
Quiz content, options and rewards can all be customized for each student. Parents choose the topic to start with, the range of fact groups in that topic, and the order of the operands. Parents can also change the quiz options: the number of questions, the time limit (if desired), the input mode (keyboard or writing) and more. Parents can also set the reward criteria for how a student earns each trophy and how many coins they can earn.
Each child has an achievements screen which motivates and encourages learning by showing progress and trophies for each fact group. Parents can use this screen to quickly see progress of their child.

Newly designed miniature stainless steel brackets secure the iPad Air within the pocket allowing for better security and a cleaner look. Our iPad Air Mount secures to any counter-top with either clear adhesive strips or screws (both included).

Knight Runner's endless runner style gameplay features 8-bit style graphics, challenging obstacles, and powerups all in a 3D world from the yesteryear. The game is set in the times of knights and valor, bad guys and black horses. The time of captured princesses waiting for their knight in shining armor. And while there is no shining armor, Knight Runner does have a really awesome white horse powerup that when collected turns the player into a noble steed.
With a quick swipe right or left to avoid obstacles horizontally and a swipe up or down to slide or jump over and under fire-breathing dragons, Knight Runner challenges players to avoid certain death and save the princess and inevitably save the kingdom from evil.

The drive also features Native Command Queing (NCQ) in which the drive automatically reorders commands in the most efficient way based on the location of data on its platters in order to retrieve, or write, that data with the least latency. S.M.A.R.T. status monitoring is also supported and can warn of possible or impending disk failure long before one actually occurs allowing the user to take early action to keep their data safe. The drive's S.M.A.R.T. status can be verified using Apple's Disk Utility or System Profiler program.
The included portable, external USB 3.0 enclosure is bootable on all Intel Macs and is provided with cloning software in order to facilitate an easy transition to the new hard drive as well as to allow continued usage of the original drive for general data storage or backup. At this year's conference, iFormBuilder apps were front and center as a way not only to collect data, but help monitor and evaluate programs to save lives around the world. iFormBuilder is used not only in pinpointing data in a geospatial way, but also is used for the all-important "Monitoring and Evaluation." iFormBuilder is available in the Apple App Store, as well as at Google Play.
Herndon, Virginia - Mobile data collection app company didn't set out the help save the world, but is happy it is helping in International Development Projects with the likes of CRS, USAid, NetHope, The Hunger Project and others.
"Catholic Relief Services (CRS) believes that using technology is the best way to help serve the poor and vulnerable. CRS also believes in open and free discussion to facilitate learning between organizations."
As Catholic Relief Services' Michele Broemmelsiek, Vice President of Overseas Operations, spoke at the opening of the 2014 International Development Conference for Development (ICT4D), the message was clear - technology can make the world better. And as many attendees learned, his company's technology, a mobile data collection app for Android and iOS, was at the forefront of many of the week's presentations. As each day of presentations by NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) progressed, a mass of testimonials showed that iFormBuilder was being used for a multitude of uses.
"Using iPads/tablets with iFormBuilder in the field for The Child Behind project allowed staff to collect data, which leads to improved programmatic decision-making and accurate measurement of results."
After the cyclone in Madagascar in Feb 2103 ... " CRS Madagascar used iPod touch with iFormBuilder to quickly collect accurate data that could incorporate drawings, pictures, signatures and GPS. It cut data collection down from 3.5 weeks to 72 hours."
Even when not speaking directly about iFormBuilder, it was the app's features that were being talked about. As an Esri representative stated:
"GIS maps can help NGOs integrate and apply knowledge. The visual layout helps to synthesize information from lots of different sources for a comprehensive picture. It also is a tool to show donors the impact and scale of projects."
iFormBuilder mobile app is shown on the front page of the CRS, as part of ICT4D. iFormBuilder is used not only in pinpointing data in a geospatial way, but also is used for the all-important "Monitoring and Evaluation," the NGOs and international development companies must do to qualify decisions and quantify their actions. And for work in an ulta-disconnected environment, like much of Africa, the iForm team has released ThunderPlug, a wireless data collecton hub that can run on solar power-- deemed the "baby cloud" by some at CRS.
"We didn't go looking for NGOs," stated Sze Wong, iFormBuilder CEO, adding, "but NGOs found us, and have been teaching us all the things they can do with it."
CBO Chris Reichart agrees. "When we started up the iForm apps project, we thought that hotels, marketing firms and maybe some engineers would use it. That was all true - but what we see here with CRS and the other International Development groups - it's just fantastic."

The set of 17 puzzles offers challenge after delightful challenge, as players shift tiles with either numbers or pictures in a type of virtual Rubik's Cube. Each puzzle is available on three different board sizes with four difficulty settings. The sharp imagery, well-planned gameplay and detailed strategy built into each game will keep users from giving up until the game is won.

Each puzzle is available on three different board sizes with four difficulty settings that allow for a "flip state," in which each puzzle tile may flip whenever the tile moves. With the option of replacing the numbered tiles with pieces of a complete picture, the gameplay can be deceptive - the cute pug tempts you, but once shuffled the Picasso-like results are notoriously difficult to put back together. With a high "flip" difficulty setting, it will keep players going for hours, but the sharp imagery, well-planned gameplay and detailed strategy built into each game will keep users from giving up until the game is won.
Users need not worry about taking a break though; the autosave system provides the ability to stop a game mid-play, go on to a new one or come back to the first one at any time and resume precisely where it was left. The best players don't have to stay anonymous, because the "Hall of Fame" records the best 100 players and their achievements.
The set of 17 puzzle games begins with a very simple "Swap" game, going through the more challenging "Classic", "Shift", "Rotation", "Mirror" and other games. The last few games have been described by developer Aron Pongo as "insanely hard."
"This isn't the type of game where it starts out simple. I created Shuffler Game to present mind-bending challenges, with some of the games exceedingly difficult to finish, even for myself," said Pongo. "The games are hard to beat, and with the four different difficulty settings for each game and each of three board sizes, there are around 200 different levels to tackle."
Shuffler is unlike any other type of mobile game on the market, with tremendous challenges in play and endless variations, guaranteed to provide endless days of delightful frustration.
