Maintain has announced Cocktail 9.1 (El Capitan Edition), the latest maintenance update for users running OS X El Capitan 10.11. * A person lays their laptop down, walks off and forgets it
* A car is being stolen out of the driveway

* Driver forgets where they parked in huge parking lot
The app uses the Maps functionality on mobile devices in order to find the precise location of the beacon. Items that are lost or stolen can be tracked in real-time via the Find My Stuff app.
New features:
Because the Find My Stuff app uses Bluetooth technology to track and locate items, past versions of the app have drained battery life from smartphones and other mobile devices of users. The developers have added a new battery improvement feature that reduces the battery drain and extends battery life while the app is in use.
Previous versions of the app gave no indication of the battery life that was left in the mobile device. This was determined to be inefficient as users could not tell the amount of remaining battery life while using the app. The new battery indicator provides users with an accurate percentage of real-time battery life usage.
Find My Stuff alerts:
The latest version of Find My Stuff has upgraded the alerts feature. Find My Stuff uses alerts in a couple of different ways.
1) Users can press a button within the app and the beacon will emit an alert. This is useful for finding lost car keys or other misplaced items.
2) Users can set the distance proximity settings within the app, and if the beacon reaches or exceeds that range, an alert is emitted. This is useful for keeping up with children or pets, and preventing theft of items.
Find My Stuff is now international:
Due to the demand from international markets, Find My Stuff has added support for many languages including German, Italian, French, Japanese and Russian. Additional languages will be added in the future. This expansion is expected to increase the number of Find My Stuff and Beacon users.

Absolutely anything made or grown (legal of course) can be posted, all that�s needed is an iPhone, an appetite, and a desire to take local food to the next level!
Portland, Oregon - Ripelist LLC is proud to announce the release of Ripelist 1.0, their app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices that strips the local food movement down to its most basic form.
�Food habits in this country are changing. People not only care more than ever about where their food comes from, but they're actually returning to their yards and kitchens and producing their own food,� said Andrew Williamson co-founder of Ripelist. �Ripelist is looking to turn every neighborhood into its own source of food.�
After opening a free account, the app essentially functions like a streamlined classifieds except it�s just for food. Users can post something for sale, trade or free, which includes a photo, description and location. Users can also post a request for something they want and include what they�re willing to pay or exchange for it. Other listing categories include food events and tools/equipment used for growing or cooking food.
For browsing, users can filter their search, toggling between listings closest to them or most recently posted. They can also message other users directly to set up a transaction or save a listing to easily find and contact the user about it when it�s convenient. All transactions happen in-person.
Ripelist co-founder, Andrew Williamson states, �This face to face interaction is at the core of our vision. When you meet the person who�s going to eat your food, there�s built in accountability and care in what�s being provided. Ultimately we hope Ripelist will help our communities become stronger by sharing what we have to eat.�
It was over five years ago when Andrew and Aaron Williamson, the brothers behind Ripelist, first came up with the idea. Andrew says, �I saw all this food from gardens and trees in neighbors yards going to waste, and I thought there has to be a simple way to connect people like this who have extra food, to people who need it. It was a problem of distribution.� They finally started working on Ripelist full time just last year and now the vision has grown to include a lot more than just surplus fruit.
Sharing and exchanging food with one�s neighbors is nothing new. It was a lot more common in years past and is still practiced today in many rural farming communities. The founders though hope that, by updating and streamlining the process with Ripelist, it will make food sharing a common practice once again in every neighborhood including urban and suburban ones. �It�s a lofty goal� says Andrew, �but our current food system just might depend on it.�
Ripelist will currently only work in Portland, OR and surrounding areas, and is available only on the iOS platform. Ripelist hopes to make it available on more platforms and in more locations starting in 2016.
