All the components of the BEVL dock are precision machined from premium materials such as aluminum and Delrin. Finely tailored details, including knurling on the base edge and a polished outside chamfer, were painstakingly cultivated through dozens of prototypes.
The carefully engineered and thoughtfully executed mechanisms of BEVL elevate the user experience to a new level. A unique swivel design allows for the user to tilt the phone with their fingers to any desired angle between 10 and 30 degrees. The setup process for the dock, which can accommodate iPhones both with and without a case, is extremely simple. Users need only supply their own Apple Lightning cord. The BEVL dock is compatible with most cases that follow Apple's Case Design guidelines.
After setup, multiple points of contact between BEVL and the iPhone ensure a precise fit with no wiggling or wobbling. A micro-suction base ring provides additional stability and enables one-handed docking and undocking. The unique aesthetic of the device takes several design cues from recent Apple products, to complement the beauty of iPhone design while maintaining an original look. Each surface, radius and curve is deliberate to celebrate the design of the iPhone.

A new KickStarter campaign promises to teach how to develop apps for the Apple Watch through unique WatchKit games and apps, including arcade titles like Pong. The instructor, Ontario Britton, an experienced iOS developer and educator will provide over 24 hours of instruction comprising 10 unique app projects. The class is intended for both advanced developers and beginners alike and will be released in January, 2015 after KickStarter funding has concluded.
Provo, Utah - PepperGum Labs launched its KickStarter campaign to start the online programming class 'How to Make Innovative Apple Watch Apps with WatchKit'. The KickStarter campaign will continue through the end of December 2014 and aims to raise $6,000 in that time. The funding goes toward creating an online class that teaches Apple Watch programming with Apple's WatchKit SDK for people of all experience levels, including non-programmers. Through games and other apps more exciting than anything yet demoed for the Apple Watch, PepperGum Labs reveals some of its comprehensive and unconventional coverage of Apple's new WatchKit SDK.
"You'll learn through fun and engaging applications not found anywhere else," says Ontario Britton, the class's instructor and experienced iOS developer and trainer. "You'll create these cutting-edge Watchkit applications as some of your first Apple Watch Apps," he continues as demos of Pong and 3D game notifications animate onscreen in the Apple Watch simulator. Ontario is no stranger to creating classes for Apple technologies, having developed curriculum for various courses in iOS programming taught at a Gold Level Apple Authorized Training Center.
With such strong interest worldwide in Apple's newly released WatchKit SDK, PepperGum Labs hopes to meet the needs of programmers and newcomers alike with some of the highest quality instruction in Apple Watch programming. The class covers 24 hours of online instruction and provides source code for 10 fully-functional programming projects, including simple starting-point templates. The source code will all be in Swift utilizing Apple's newly released iOS8. All instruction is focused on learning concepts of Apple Watch programming and immediately implementing them in code.
PepperGum Labs is using KickStarter not only to crowd-fund the initial cost of creating this online class, but to also generate a community around the new curriculum. For a $49 pledge (or $39 for early adopters), aspiring WatchKit developers get unlimited access through KickStarter to an otherwise $500 online course. The same course would cost $1,500 if taken in-person through a training center.
The instructor, Ontario Britton, teaches classes in Apple technologies across the United States. He was the lead mobile trainer at a Gold Level Apple Authorized Training Center in Manhattan where he taught Swift, Obj-C, Java, iOS Frameworks, Game Programming and Android Development. He has taught non-programmers and experienced engineers, and says that "everyone leaves my classes successfully writing their own apps, often for the first time". This is his first class to be offered online, and will be hosted through the Udemy website.
The instructor also has impressive iOS experience, having contributed to more than 20 iPhone and iPad apps with over two million downloads among them. Included in apps Ontario helped engineer is Endless Alphabet, which was one of a select group of apps awarded Apple's "Best of 2014" award and which appeared onstage with Tim Cook at Apple's 2014 World Wide Developers Conference.
PepperGum Labs also looks forward to combining the Apple Watch with other technologies like the Oculus Rift and Augmented Reality after a future release of the WatchKit SDK opens up more access to the sensors on the Apple Watch.

TouchAble 3 now features a completely recoded Server which insures perfect communication between the computer running Ableton Live and the connected iOS devices. In addition to provide wireless connectivity using an ad-hoc WIFI network on stage or router for home studio use, connecting to Ableton with touchAble 3 now has never been easier : plug in a simple USB cable to the iOS device and to the computer, and user is ready to go.
USB connectivity has been a major request from touchable users who want to avoid WIFI interferences or failure while playing on stage, a place where they need absolute reliability.
The new Server is automatically launched, managed and stopped by OSX or Windows and is therefore available to be connected to at all times. There is no need to start it manually, which makes the connection process as convenient and fast as plugging in a hardware MIDI controller or Instrument.
Users can now have accurate control of every Ableton Live Stock Effect and Instruments Plugin, thanks to the Live Device Template Pack, available as in-app purchase within the new integrated store. It provides a well designed layout for every single Live Device, Audio Effects, Midi Effects, and Instruments. All of Lives devices, including the most advanced ones such as Operator or Analog, will appear on the iPad nearly exactly as they do in the software, and including, for some of them, a secondary live mode consisting of a double XY Pad and a Gesture Recorder.
Rotary pots integrate a smart "2 axis" feature : the first finger gesture on each pot determines if the change of value will be triggered horizontally or vertically. A floating popup will also move right above the finger and will remind the user of the parameter that is controlled. Every template is able to provide a graphical representation and manipulation of complex parameters like Filter-Curves and Envelopes. Device Templates can be displayed in 3/4 view for the ultimate multi touch control experience.
In addition to being able to run multiple iOS devices in order to control and interact with a Live Session, users can now combine them to one big control surface by using the new iPad/iPhone Link Mode. With this feature, the position, order and size of each device's clip view can be freely set and all linked iOS devices will constantly depend on each other.
TouchAble 3 now supports Devices in Racks. A simple tap opens a rack and unveils the chains, a second one will gives access to every Device contained in the selected chain. By exceeding the traditional 8 macro control limitation, touchAble allows users to get full control over any type of complex Set.
As with previous versions, touchAble 3 is compatible with all iPad generations. All new features of version 3 are available to users running touchAble on iPad1, with the same level of performance as on newer iPads. A few tweaks to touchAble's Graphics-Engine greatly increased energy efficiency and performance.
