Hero Brigade Brawl is a two-player card game set in a world of comic book characters, where one player becomes the super-heroes and the other is the super-villains. Shaderific is an educational app for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch that helps computer science students and experienced developers to get started with OpenGL ES 2.0 and OpenGL ES 3.0 shader development. The app makes it possible to write, compile and test shader programs directly on any iOS device without ever touching a laptop or desktop computer. Version 3.2 adds support for OpenGL ES 3.0 and GLSL ES 3.0 and a customizable blending mode.
Hamburg, Germany - Gryphos GmbH has announced the release of Shaderific version 3.2, a major update of its OpenGL ES shader development application for iOS. Shaderific provides the full range of shader development with the OpenGL Shading Language (GLSL) on tablet computers and mobile devices. Vertex and fragment shader code can be created, edited and compiled on the device and all changes are visible instantly. There is no need to use a personal computer (laptop or desktop) in the shader development process anymore.
The update adds support for OpenGL ES 3.0 and GLSL ES 3.0. The OpenGL ES 3.0 capability of using 3D textures in a shader program is demonstrated by a new shader that generates a procedural fire effect based on a pre-calculated 3D noise texture. A new blending mode allows rendering of multiple blended objects. The blending factors and blending function can be customized in the settings menu without interrupting the rendering loop. The blending capabilities are demonstrated by a new shader that uses draw instanced functionality to render multiple blended instances of the same object. A new control mode allows to move the camera position based on the device orientation thus enabling to "fly around the object" by tilting the device. To make it easier to create new shaders based on the existing ones a shader can now be duplicated with only one tap.
Starting shader development can be a difficult and complex task for a beginner. Shaderific smoothes the learning experience dramatically by hiding away a lot of the technical complexity, that way letting the user focus solely on the shaders. 31 built-in shaders are demonstrating fundamental development techniques ranging from basic coloring and lighting shaders to advanced texture shaders with normal and environment mapping. The user can start to experiment with these shaders right away without writing a line of code. Alternatively, shader, object and texture files can be imported via Dropbox to give a maximum of flexibility in creating new custom shaders.
Shaderific streamlines the process of prototyping, testing and debugging shaders immensely by cutting the cord to the personal computer. Whereas traditional shader development requires compilation of the whole graphics application for every change to a shader file, all this is unnecessary now. Since the shaders are edited and compiled right on the iPad, iPhone or iPod no file transfer is needed with a personal computer and a lot of time can be saved. A further strength of Shaderific lies in the possibility to change parameters (uniforms) of the shaders via the settings menu without interrupting the rendering loop. All changes can be examined in real-time and fine-tuning the rendering result is fast and easy.

Players tap the screen to maneuver the game's character across a lanai and through a series of palm trees to collect slices of cheesecake, all the while competing for the top score. Busy Bea fuses the aesthetics of a popular late-1980s sitcom with side-scrolling simplicity.

"Last September I began a year long daily Bea Arthur art project called, #BeaADay," stated Michael Denison. "I keep trying to find new mediums to work into the project and after I had drawn a retro style Nintendo Cartridge label for a fictitious Golden Girls video game, a friend introduced me to an app developer that he knew, Brian Kokernak of headRUSH, who suggested an idea for a game using my artwork and I loved it."

Anaheim, California - Independent software developer Reggie Ashworth has just released AppDelete 4.1.2, an update to his very popular application deletion utility for Mac OS X. With a simple Drag & Drop, AppDelete will uninstall anything along with all of the associated items. Mac users will no longer have to hunt through their system to find and delete these items manually.
You can drag any item that can be uninstalled onto AppDelete: Applications, Widgets, Preference Panes, Plugins, Screensavers, etc. You can also activate AppDelete in many ways: dragging items onto main window, onto dock icon, selecting in menu, right-clicking using AppDelete workflow, dragging from Launchpad, and throwing items in the trash. When the preview screen appears you can uncheck any items you would like to exclude.
You also have several choices: delete the items, log only the items, or archive (copy) the items to a .zip file for safekeeping or reinstall at a later date. The items you delete will be moved to the trash and arranged in a folder so that you can see exactly what was deleted and you know exactly where it came from.
