HistoryHound searches your browser history on Big Sur and Apple Silicon - Published on 10/27/20

Colorado-based developer St. Clair Software today releases HistoryHound 2.3, an update to their fast, efficient, multi-browser utility for searching the contents of web pages and RSS feeds. HistoryHound is a personal web search. Even if you use more than one browser and don't remember where you saw something, HistoryHound can find it. Version 2.3 offers refined search capabilities and support for macOS 11.0 Big Sur and Macs powered by Apple Silicon.

Denver, CO - St. Clair Software is pleased to announce the release of HistoryHound 2.3 for macOS. HistoryHound lets you search the content of all web sites you've visited recently, plus all the pages you've bookmarked. It's a "personal web search." Just type in a few words that you remember reading and HistoryHound will give you a list of pages you've viewed recently, ranked by relevance. You don't have to remember the title of the page, which browser you were using at the time, or when you saw it - HistoryHound will find it for you. And HistoryHound respects your privacy. Its indexing and searching is all done locally on your Mac, not in the Cloud.

What's New:
This update adds support for macOS 11.0 Big Sur and is a universal application, natively supporting Macs powered by both Intel and Apple Silicon processors. HistoryHound's search engine now also supports Google-like search filters, allowing you to narrow searches to specific web sites or to apply search terms only to the title or URL of a page. This release also allows manual re-indexing of pages when errors occur and resolves a number of bugs.

System Requirements:
* macOS 10.9 through 11.0
* Any supported web browsers: Safari, Chrome, Edge, Firefox, OmniWeb, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, NetNewsWire

Pricing and Availability:
HistoryHound 2.3 is a free update for existing HistoryHound users. It costs $14.95 (USD) for new users. Please see the St. Clair Software web site for screenshots, a full change log, and additional feature information.

San Rafael, California - Independent developer 359 North Inc. is proud to announce the release and availability of Saving Daylight, its new app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. Ever get in trouble for coming home after dark? Saving Daylight can help you avoid that troubling situation.

Get alerts the way you want them for sunrise, noon, and sunset. If you're curious, you can explore the entire planet, compare, contrast, create videos and check out reports. But at its heart, Saving Daylight gives you a clear, unambiguous readout of the light you've got left when you're outdoors.

Nexcopy Introduces Copy Protection for iPhone and iPad Mobile Devices

Nexcopy Introduces Copy Protection for iPhone and iPad Mobile Devices - Published on 10/27/20

California based Nexcopy announces Project Viewer 1.2.1, an update to their iOS app that provides Copy Protection for PDF documents, audio MP3 files and video MP4 files. The solution allows the files to be viewed, but they cannot be printed, shared, screen captured or streamed. This is the most secure way to share digital files with complete copy protection against unauthorized distribution. Version 1.2.1 adds support for background audio.

Lake Forest, California - Nexcopy Inc., a leading provider of copy protection solution, is proud to announce the release and availability of Project Viewer 1.2.1, its copy protection solution for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. Nexcopy provides a security solution for those looking to share files on the iPhone and iPad and keep those files copy protected for unwanted distribution.

"The Project Viewer app allows a content owner to distribute PDF, video and audio to an Apple device without the worry of that content being shared with other users" says Greg Morris, CEO of Nexcopy Inc. "What is unique about this solution is the content being downloaded to the device itself rather than streamed which makes the solution ideal for those with a poor internet connection or for those in remote locations where internet connectivity is not possible."

Project Viewer is available in the app store for anyone to use. The content owner can copy protect PDF files, MP3 audio files and MP4 video files. The content owner may share those files via a download link or as an attachment in an email, depending on size of course. Once the content is on the device, the user may access that content with or without an internet connection.

The maritime industry was the catalyst for this solution. Shipping companies needed training material and user manuals which could be accessed 24/7 regardless of their global location. Given there is no internet connection in the middle of the Pacific or Atlantic oceans, the Project Viewer application became the secure method to provide content to the maritime clients.

* Content Owner encrypts data one time
* The Content Owner assigns redemption codes to access the files
* Download to any mobile Apple device
* Same Apple ID can access content on any of their devices
* Content is localized to the device for off-line access
* Time expiration feature to control file access

Stan McCrosky, head of Sales, comments, "The Nexcopy Project Viewer secure application is a niche product, but well suited for those who need copy protection on a mobile device. The fact the secure content is not streamed to the iPhone or iPad creates opportunities for Nexcopy to address security issues for off-line requirements."

The Nexcopy mobile copy protection solutions allows the content owner to be in control of their content at all times. Because there is no streaming service from a secure server to the device, it means the content owner can host the copy protected content themselves. There is no expensive start-up cost or month fee to host the encrypted files. The Project Viewer and mobile copy protection solution by Nexcopy is a very economical solution to securing digital files.

Project Viewer blocks the user from printing PDF files. Blocks the user for streaming or sharing video or audio files. Blocks the user from performing and saving screen shots. The Project Viewer application is well suited for teaching material, user manuals, instruction videos and other educational applications where it's important the content owner has control of their digital files.

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
* iOS 9.3 or later
* Universal Application
* 3.3 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Project Viewer 1.2.1 is a free download and is available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Productivity category. Contact Nexcopy for setting up the mobile copy protection management tools after downloading the Project Viewer application from the Apple App Store.
