At the end of processing, LinkOptimizer reimports images to InDesign at 100% in their precise position. In addition, the software can apply sharpening filters, merge layers and delete hidden ones, and process copies of InDesign documents and images instead of original files. As a result, users can save gigabytes of disk space and countless hours of optimizing images manually; accelerate document output; reduce job turnaround and cut costs through faster processing.

The unique sounds achieved in the Enzyme Player engine use a new synthesis technique called Scanned Synthesis, which generates sounds by scanning a dynamic system at a rate determined by the current pitch. Enzyme uses a model of scanned synthesis that simulates a string of nodes that are connected to each other by springs. There are also springs that pull the nodes towards a particular set of resting positions. When a note is played, the nodes are struck and then continue to be stimulated by a shaped hammer that sets the nodes oscillating. The positions of the nodes are then used to represent a wavetable that changes over time as the nodes oscillate. The nodes are scanned at a rate determined by the pitch of the current note.
Scot Solida of Computer Music Magazine says that the application "is capable of producing sounds of staggering beauty as well as knee-wobbling, teeth-grating terror." He adds, "It isn't long before you're knocking out interesting, unusual and, at times, quite musical timbres." (20 Feb 2014)
The Enzyme user interface is divided into four tabbed pages: Master, Synthesis, Modulation, and Effects. Enzyme Player only features the Master page, which includes Performance Parameters that are linked to the "hidden" parameters from the other pages as described below. Each page of Enzyme contains the same volume and stereo width knobs, a waveform display, and three buttons labeled Psycho, Danger, and Randomize. The waveform display, known as the Wave Scope, is an animated visual wavetable display that makes it easier to see how the sound is changing over time. The Psycho button removes the restrictions that stop the wavetable from flying out of control. The Danger button alters the signal path for an altogether less refined sound. Capable of producing very mysterious and beautiful sounds, the Randomize button is used to randomize nearly every parameter of the application. The Psycho, Danger, and Randomize buttons are only functional in the full commercial Enzyme version.
The Master page allows the user to manage the settings for coarse and fine tuning, pitch bend and its range, polyphony, and portamento. Enzyme Player also includes up to 16 performance parameters per preset, which can be manipulated by the user to explore new and interesting variations. Users can easily navigate between Enzyme Player's pages by clicking on its corresponding tab at the top of the screen.
"The included presets sound really nice and will be useful to producers who are looking for more aggressive synthesized sounds." says Tomislav Zlatic of BPB (6 Apr 2014).
From the Synthesis page, users can control the size and shape of the virtual hammer that excites the system and is defined by a chosen audio sample. The Hammer display shows a visual representation of the sample being used as a source of hammer shapes in addition to the settings for the Centre Wave and Masses Wave display that are scanned to produce the waveform display. From the Synthesis page, users can also change the node position's update rate and resting positions, as well as the force of the springs, control the distribution of frequencies used by the oscillators, and set the way in which the nodes are connected with each other by springs.
Featuring a conventional AHDSR volume envelope and LFO, the Modulation Matrix page makes it easy to configure and visualize the limitless parameter modulation possibilities. The performance parameters can be assigned as modulators to any other synch parameter. Therefore, the most important parameters can all be controlled from one page. They can also easily be controlled using a MIDI controller.
"Enzyme is one of those products that has the happy knack of channelling serendipity," comments Sam Inglis of Sound On Sound magazine (17 Apr 2014). "I've already built up a library of presets simply by hitting the random button and making minor adjustments to the results, and very few of them are sounds that I could have programmed by any other means, or in any other synthesizer. The Effects page gives access to the limitless ways in which the synth's output can be manipulated. There are two filters with a range of different filter types such as LowPass, HighPass, LowShelf, HighShelf, Notch, and PeakEQ. Users can also choose between serial and parallel configurations of these filters. Distortion modules and additional filters, such as delay, reverb, and flanger, can be added and manipulated in the Effects Rack.

Number Whizz is centered on the principle of number pairing to ten. Numbers appear one by one on the right hand side of the screen and slowly make their way to the left. The player must enter the number that when added to the first number in the queue makes ten. If correct, the number is deleted and they must move to the next number in the queue. As the player deletes more and more numbers, the speed will gradually increase and the game will end when the first number in the queue reaches the end.
The reason for creating this app was to find a way to help boost kids mental arithmetic whilst they were having fun. The app was extensively tested using a class of students in Ashford, England and went through many iterations before we arrived at the final product. The class played Number Whizz on their shared iPad and they very much enjoyed trying to get the high score. The scores of the kids rapidly increased and their improvement was apparent very quickly. We had originally implemented a way for the kids to track their improvement over time, but they were only interested in their top scores so for simplicity we temporarily removed it. However we fully expect to put it back in if teachers and parents should request such a feature.

There is a total of 30 levels (300 puzzles), increasing in difficulty. It is very intuitive; even very young kids can play. 3 Icons 1 Word - Mind Puzzle is a quite simple puzzle game that slowly turns into a very challenging game, where everyone can improve their brain skills while having fun.

Although it is a simple word guessing game, it requires players to be able to analyze the three icons and the tip word, and make some kind of connection like something in common, or an association of ideas. The player has to type the hidden word that somehow links the three icons and the keyword in order to complete the puzzle. There is a total of 30 levels (300 puzzles), increasing in difficulty. Once discovered the player can learn the same word in a different language like French or Spanish.

Stockholm, Sweden - Pinux Studio today is proud the announce the release of iPCU 2.9.3, its professional level iPhone Configuration Utility. iPCU is the only App that can provision iOS devices. Apple has developed its own official program on Windows and Mac but never launched an iOS version of this software. The reason behind it is probably they never thought there is such a use-case that people would use iOS provision others' devices. The author of this App carefully studied how the original Mac version of iPCU works and reverse engineered most the functionality and finally build it into an iOS app.
Why iPCU is useful:
iPCU is a swiss knife app for network administrators or IT professionals. Why? Think of the following three use cases.
Use case I: Network administrators might receive an emergency phone call from a VP who is travelling to another time zone attempting to reach your headquarters network via VPN tunnel without a success. The reason behind it is probably they never thought there is such a use-case that people would use iOS provision others' devices. The author of this App carefully studied how the original Mac version of iPCU works and reverse engineered most the functionality and finally build it into an iOS app.
Why iPCU is useful:
iPCU is a swiss knife app for network administrators or IT professionals. Why? Think of the following three use cases.
Use case I: Network administrators might receive an emergency phone call from a VP who is travelling to another time zone attempting to reach your headquarters network via VPN tunnel without a success. It is 2 am at your time and do you really want to get up from your cozy bed helping him out in front of your computer? Of course not. Just pick up your iPhone or iPad. Preconfigure a provisioning profile in iPCU and send out an Email. Problem solved.
Use case II: From time to time, new employees will come and ask a network admin over and over again "how to configure our corporate VPN" or "my Email account doesn't work", simply pre-config the profile in iPCU with an "allstaff" Email sent out to your fellow co-workers. Problem solved! Besides, Less human errors are made while you can pre-configure the corporate VPN connection or Email account and send the working (proven) profile to your co-workers or friends.
Use case III: Your wife works as a school teacher and she recently got a new iPhone from her school. Unfortunately she doesn't know how to setup her iPhone to work with Microsoft exchange server. She is reaching out to you, the beloved husband who knows everything about technology. With a few taps in iPCU, the provisioning profile is uploaded on to your dropbox. Send her the link of this profile. She can now download the profile and install it. After that, you will hear exciting voice from the other side of your telephone.
