Version 2.8.4 simplifies moving documents into the database, enhances smart groups, and improves performance and reliability. The updates are free and recommended for all users.

DEVONtechnologies, LLC today updates all editions of its intelligent information and document manager DEVONthink as well as the smart notebook DEVONnote. DEVONthink and DEVONnote are all about efficiently managing large document collections and knowledge bases. Version 2.8.4 simplifies moving documents into the database, enhances smart groups, and improves performance and reliability. The updates are free and recommended for all users.
Coeur d'Alene, Idaho - DEVONtechnologies, LLC updates all editions of its intelligent information and document manager DEVONthink as well as the smart notebook DEVONnote. DEVONthink and DEVONnote are all about efficiently managing large document collections and knowledge bases. Version 2.8.4 lets users move new documents to their databases more quickly. Dragging files or folders to the application with the Command modifier key pressed imports the items and trashes their originals in one go. Depending on the user's workflow this alone saves many superfluous clicks per day.
The release also enhances smart groups with new options for filtering by date. It supports new file types for bookmarks and plain text files. The AppleScript support in DEVONthink Pro and Pro Office features two new commands and runs database queries up to 50 times faster. Processing search results is even speedier now.
DEVONthink and DEVONnote 2.8.4 retain tags when splitting documents. All parts are tagged the same and are no longer placed into the inbox but next to their original. The Activity panel informs about the progress of lenghty tasks in more detail. This makes it easier to estimate how long a task will take. DEVONthink handles also PDF annotations smarter that span more than one line.
Finally, this release makes it easier than ever to build templates that consist of more than a single file. These template packages can create whole group structures with a single click. Version 2.8.4 no longer requires template packages to use language-specific folders so creating a new package is as easy as grouping some items in the Finder and renaming the created folder.
The updates to version 2.8.4 optimize the applications further for OS X Yosemite and improve their performance and reliability, too.

Jigsaw Commando is a grid-based, WWII-themed strategy game, where commandos carefully execute moves by fitting puzzle pieces together for recon and assault. During recon, commandos gain Intel on enemy resources and troops needing rescue. During assault, players attempt to rescue troops by reconfiguring the battle field to destroy enemies and create a path to escape.

Within each phase, different shapes of jigsaw pieces appear for the player to connect within the board. Each block of a puzzle piece displays a friendly or enemy resource. Tapping outside of the board will give players an idea of what each block represents in points. This will help them focus on covering enemy blocks with the highest points. Covering enemy bunkers, weapons, and more will help free allied soldiers.

The game blends together puzzle solving, strategy, and battlefield excitement for an old world take on collecting intelligence and dispatching forces. To place jigsaw puzzles on the board, players will be guided by highlighted jigsaws. Red means the puzzle piece cannot be placed in a location, while green means it is a legal move. Green points at the top of the screen represent the Commando's score and red represents the enemy's score. If enemies are left on the board at the end of an Assault wave, then those spaces will likely be blown up by enemies, leaving craters behind that will stop troops from escaping.
The Jigsaw Commando design aesthetics and color scheme create a WWII backdrop filled with tanks, bunkers, and enemies resembling the era. The app's fundamental colors are green, blue, red and black for added theme enhancement. The background for both Recon and Assault phases consists of an authentic reproduction of the map used by soldiers during the Battle of Bastogne in WWII. The climactic music works well with the build up of puzzle pieces and focused strategy.
Jigsaw Commando contains an extensive tutorial with images, arrows, and instruction. The tutorial takes less than five minutes to complete and can quickly be referred back to for a list of friendly or enemy symbols and their associated powers. For quicker access, players can tap into the game menu and view a legend that will list all symbols, their abilities and points.

Gamers can challenge themselves into finding solutions to free soldiers and keep their brain active while traveling to work, over the weekends, or while standing in line.

Jigsaw Commando is created with traditional color associations. The red color represents the enemy and danger, while blue and green represents the Commando and allied troops. To place jigsaw puzzles on the board, players will be guided by highlighted jigsaws. Red means the puzzle piece cannot be placed in a location, while green means it is a legal move. Green points at the top of the screen represent the Commando's score and red represents the enemy's score. If enemies are left on the board at the end of an Assault wave, then those spaces will likely be blown up by enemies, leaving craters behind that will stop troops from escaping.
The Jigsaw Commando design aesthetics and color scheme create a WWII backdrop filled with tanks, bunkers, and enemies resembling the era. The app's fundamental colors are green, blue, red and black for added theme enhancement. The background for both Recon and Assault phases consists of an authentic reproduction of the map used by soldiers during the Battle of Bastogne in WWII. The climactic music works well with the build up of puzzle pieces and focused strategy.
Jigsaw Commando contains an extensive tutorial with images, arrows, and instruction. The tutorial takes less than five minutes to complete and can quickly be referred back to for a list of friendly or enemy symbols and their associated powers. For quicker access, players can tap into the game menu and view a legend that will list all symbols, their abilities and points.
