* Hold the down-arrow longer to activate the drop-escape
* Unlock all 10 farm cars as you earn coins maneuvering across the pastures
* Collect the gas cans to avoid running out of fuel
* Collect the nitro power-up and speed by the obstacles in your selected Farm Car

* Collect the bales of hay when driving the flatbed truck and earn more coins

While Shire Defense will prove an entertaining challenge to players of all skill levels, beginners will appreciate the game's easy-to-use touch-based interface. Players simply tap the screen to select a spot to place a defensive weapon, and then tap again to select the desired defender. The game assists new players, instructing them as to how they can properly defend their shire from the oncoming attackers. Quick reactions and thinking are required for this game, and proper placement of defenders is paramount to destroying all the enemy invaders.
A smart strategy is the ultimate weapon in Shire Defense, as simply placing defenses in random locations will not result in victory. Players need to strategically place their defenses where they can do the most damage, using some defenses to slow down the ever-advancing hordes; allowing other types of defenses enough time to efficiently wipe their enemies from the face of the earth! A close eye should be kept on the defenses, as they will need to be periodically repaired or upgraded in the heat of battle.
More advanced players will welcome the ability to upgrade their defenders as the challenges increase in later levels. By using their gems wisely, warriors can select the correct defender to destroy oncoming hordes. A wise player will carefully, yet quickly, place upgraded defenses in strategic spots to wipeout the attackers before they can destroy their defenses. Placement of these objects is all important, especially in later levels, as the the hordes grow increasingly large and aggressive. The 5 different kinds of enemies add to the challenge; as different attackers require new strategies to properly defeat them.
While in-app purchases are not required to play Shire Defense, the game offers a number of Gem packs to speed up the player's progress by upgrading their defense capabilities, including improved Ploppers, Twisters, Hives, Fireballs, and Mortars. These upgrades making it easier to destroy the enemies before they destroy the defenders. Players can also use gems to unlock the various available maps for faster progress.

Scout Ahead has announced the very first app to bring League of Legends to the Apple Watch, and the fastest new match scouter for iPhone. The app lets players find out quickly who they're playing against, who is on their team, and who they might need to worry about, with stats straight from Riot. Apple Watch wearing gamers can now glean a substantial advantage against their opponents by identifying which runes and masteries their opponents are running, and which lanes might be problematic.
Vancouver, Canada - Scout Ahead, the first League of Legends app for Apple Watch, has arrived on the App Store. It supports both iPhone and Apple Watch and is the fastest way for players to scout matches and find out out quickly who they're playing against, who is on their team, and who they might need to worry about. Simply typing in a summoner's name or tapping a recently saved summoner provides the player with an instant dossier on every other player in the current match.
All of the data in the app is pulled straight from Riot, and the app also provides quick links to summoner profiles and champion builds from the major League of Legends fan sites. With a quick raise of their wrists, Apple Watch wearing gamers can now glean a substantial advantage against their opponents by identifying which runes and masteries their opponents are running, and which lanes might be problematic.
The Scout Ahead Apple Watch app is the first of its kind for any major game, and hints at a promising new category of smartwatch apps: heads up displays that don't get in the way of the gameplay and don't require gamers to pick up another device. The convenience of having stats strapped to your wrist could be a big new reason for gamers to pick up an Apple Watch.
Writing about Scout Ahead's Apple Watch app, VentureBeat's Jeff Grub notes that "while most attempts up until this point have tried to put full-fledged games onto the device, this approach - which acts as a supplement to a PC game - could light a different path that more studios might consider in the future."
Pixile's co-founder Michael Silverwood agrees, saying "Apple Watch owners will now be able to find out everything they need to know about their opponents with a simple glance at their watch" but also notes that "the experience is also great on an iPhone." The team had a particularly fun time designing the iPhone app in the image of Teemo, the popular champion who League of Legends players love to hate. "We can't wait to see how players react to the animations and voice clips of Teemo in the app," says Michael, "I keep inciting groans from my friends by telling them that 'I'll Scout Ahead' every time I use the app." This, of course, is Teemo's trademark phrase, and is only one of many peppered throughout the app.

Vancouver, Canada - Scout Ahead, the first League of Legends app for Apple Watch, has arrived on the App Store. It supports both iPhone and Apple Watch and is the fastest way for players to scout matches and find out out quickly who they're playing against, who is on their team, and who they might need to worry about. Simply typing in a summoner's name or tapping a recently saved summoner provides the player with an instant dossier on every other player in the current match.
All of the data in the app is pulled straight from Riot, and the app also provides quick links to summoner profiles and champion builds from the major League of Legends fan sites. With a quick raise of their wrists, Apple Watch wearing gamers can now glean a substantial advantage against their opponents by identifying which runes and masteries their opponents are running, and which lanes might be problematic.
The Scout Ahead Apple Watch app is the first of its kind for any major game, and hints at a promising new category of smartwatch apps: heads up displays that don't get in the way of the gameplay and don't require gamers to pick up another device. The convenience of having stats strapped to your wrist could be a big new reason for gamers to pick up an Apple Watch.
Writing about Scout Ahead's Apple Watch app, VentureBeat's Jeff Grub notes that "while most attempts up until this point have tried to put full-fledged games onto the device, this approach - which acts as a supplement to a PC game - could light a different path that more studios might consider in the future."
Pixile's co-founder Michael Silverwood agrees, saying "Apple Watch owners will now be able to find out everything they need to know about their opponents with a simple glance at their watch" but also notes that "the experience is also great on an iPhone." The team had a particularly fun time designing the iPhone app in the image of Teemo, the popular champion who League of Legends players love to hate. "We can't wait to see how players react to the animations and voice clips of Teemo in the app," says Michael, "I keep inciting groans from my friends by telling them that 'I'll Scout Ahead' every time I use the app." This, of course, is Teemo's trademark phrase, and is only one of many peppered throughout the app.

Node-based compositing is the industry-standard technology Hollywood uses to build complex layered effects from chains of simple building blocks. Bricolage takes full advantage of the powerful graphics hardware in your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and uses custom OpenGL Shading Language programs to process HD video in real time. Node-based compositing used to require a powerful desktop computer, now Bricolage puts it in the palm of your hand.
Bricolage uses an industry-standard technique known as 'node-based compositing' to compose multiple layers of photos or video together, and apply coloring and other effects to regions of an image. The power and flexibility offered by countless combinations of effects in a processing pipeline make node-based compositing essential to the work of professional visual effects artists.
Now iPad and iPhone owners can leverage the same technology used for film and television effects on their own photos and videos, right on the device that shot them. Bricolage artists combine different layers using photoshop-style blending modes and/or black & white masks. Bricolage makes it easy to make different versions of an image and combine them back together, a standard technique used to blur or darken the edges of an image, or selectively recolor the sky or ground.
All the effects can be animated over time, from transitions that switch video streams or overlay text and graphics, to image distortions that move around the video. And Bricolage uses Apple's Face Recognition technology to mark or cover faces detected in video. In addition to over 100 standard CoreImage effects from Apple, Bricolage includes a powerful real-time green/blue-screen remover, an animated gradient generator, a Bezier-curve matte maker, fractal Perlin noise, and a suite of unique and powerful recoloring and stylization filters.
Despite its great power, Bricolage is simple to use; build a chain of effects for the images to flow through from the inputs to the output by dragging effect nodes to 'kiss' the output of one to the input of another and form a connection. Or press and hold a link to insert a new node in the middle. With a zooming, scrolling canvas, it is easy to organize flows while immediate feedback in the nodes makes it fun to experiment. For older devices, Bricolage includes lower resolution proxy modes, for fast interaction without sacrificing the final quality. The iPhone and iPad have great cameras, now there is way to finish those shots with the high-end processing used for your favorite summer blockbuster.
