The Kilauea Update iOS app delivers news and information about the recent activity at Kilauea Volcano from the USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory (HVO). Daily activity reports include an assigned alert level and aviation color code as well as details regarding current volcanic and seismic activity.
View earthquake activity via an easy-to-read graph and on the big map so you can tell exactly what went on in Hawaii this week. HVO webcams show the activity at the Halema'uma'u crater near the visitor center, a close-up of the lava lake, as well as current lava flow activity and thermal images.

Music+ is a music player app with a variety of features to enhance the user's listening experience. Music+ offers the option to crossfade between songs, access to over 10,000 internet radio stations, and control of the Up Next song queue. Music+ also includes a Downloader that allows users to use its Song Search plugin to find songs from SoundCloud.

With a redesigned interface for iOS 8, Music+ strives to incorporate many visually-appealing elements in its viewer. Users can scroll through their songs by viewing the album's artwork. In the event that a song does not have album artwork designated, users can download artwork from Last FM's high-resolution images that are available through Music+. There is also a visualizer within the main player interface that allows displays the current song's output volume. Music+'s interface can be customized with a choice of accent colors. Music+ also provides options to users when listening to their music. To change the order in which songs play, users can manage their Up Next queue by swiping the song and placing it in the desired order. There is also a Crossfade setting to provide seamless listening between songs. In Settings, users can set the crossfade, its duration, and when the crossfade will take place. Crossfade time intervals range from 5 seconds to 45 seconds.

Readers can also quickly find the last story they read, as well as stories in their library that have recently been updated from the Notification Center without needing to open the Wattpad App.

Today view widgets will let readers and writers access key information right from the Today widget in the Notification Center. With one swipe, writers can see increases in reads, comments, and votes related to their stories. Readers can also quickly find the last story they read, as well as stories in their library that have recently been updated from the Notification Center without needing to open the Wattpad App.
Wattpad for iOS 8 will also include a simple way for both readers and writers to pick up where they left off, even when using multiple devices. With this new Continuity feature, writers can start a draft on an iPad and then switch to their iPhone or iPod touch for a smooth and uninterrupted writing flow. For these users, the Wattpad App will always open right back to the last section they were working on. For readers, the app will automatically highlight the last portion of text read so they can jump right back into the story with no interruptions.
"We're putting readers and writers first with this latest update," said Wattpad's Head of Product Tarun Sachdeva. "We've designed a simple and beautiful storytelling experience that gives users quick access to the things that matter most to them."
Wattpad's mobile and social storytelling experience is resonating around the world and more than 35 million people have joined the community with a Wattpadder in nearly every country of the world. People are spending a whopping 9 billion minutes a month on Wattpad with each user spending 274 minutes a month on average reading and sharing stories. To-date more than 70 million uploads have been shared on Wattpad, that's 24 hours of reading posted every single minute.
Wattpad also recently integrated multimedia into its popular iOS apps. This latest move complements the platform's rich text-based storytelling experience and cements Wattpad as the best place to read and share stories. Learning Technologies International announces their new app, Speak As You See for iOS devices. The app features 3D animations looking at the inside of the mouth when speaking. This is something that has always been difficult to visualize but now learners have a realistic 3D model to imitate. It will be useful for ESL teachers and students, speech therapists and patients. Speak As You See will help learners of English and people with communication difficulties to pronounce sounds more clearly.
Bangkok, Thailand - Learning Technologies International is pleased to introduce the iOS app 'Speak As You See'. The app will help learners of English and people with communication difficulties to pronounce sounds more clearly. The app will be useful for ESL teachers, ESL students, speech therapists and patients.
Speak As You See allows English language learners and people with speech problems to see what is happening inside the mouth and how the movements of the tongue work in conjunction with the teeth and palate to produce sounds. This is something that has always been difficult to visualize but now learners have a realistic 3D model to imitate.
App developer Neill deHaan said, "Many learners of English face difficulties when trying to pronounce certain sounds. For some learners of English, the difference between 'ch' and 'sh' sounds is inaudible because they don't have two distinct sounds in their own language. Another well-known problem for many Asian learners is the difficulty faced when pronouncing 'l' and 'r' sounds. Speak As You See can help learners see exactly what is happening to the tongue when making these sounds and because the animations are realistic, they can be easily imitated."
British expat Neill deHaan and his US-based business partner, former university lecturer, Scott Gannon have over 40 years teaching experience between them and have worked in several countries. The app was developed after seeing the problems involved in teaching pronunciation to learners of English as a second language. They searched in vain for good materials but found a gap in trying to explain what is really happening inside the mouth during pronunciation and were always disappointed with difficult-to-understand diagrams or written explanations. The app is also useful for those people with hearing and communication difficulties in helping to visualize how they should try to produce sound.
"We wanted people to try to imitate the models to get better and more natural pronunciation on those problematic sounds and so that's why the app is called Speak As You See," added Neill.

Kiev, Ukraine - Room 8 is pleased to introduce its new game title for iOS devices, Piano City. It is a first social music game that will let players share the joy and compete with their friends in musical challenges! Players will be able to progress through the map up to the Grand Concert hall playing classical piano melodies and modern hits including songs by Lady Gaga, Maroon 5, Imagine Dragons and other famous performers to become the greatest musician of the Piano City. On the way to the top they will unlock new collectables, unique content and complete diverse musical quests. Piano City is available to download for free from the App Store.
Room 8 Studio is also launching it's other title - an innovative puzzler in partnership with DeNA - Popcorn Party on the same date. You can check the game out here at the website. Popcorn Party features an innovative gameplay where players will have to connect corns of the same color by drawing lines of custom shape and length. Players may find themselves in a maze of lines they've drawn, so they will need to watch them carefully. Popping a bigger combo of corn kernels brings in characters with special abilities to boost up the fun and help out completing the levels of increasing difficulty with diverse goals to achieve. Popcorn Party is a challenging addition to existing puzzle games.
