Simetrix blends together both endless runner games and block-matching games. Users must quickly and correctly rotate the block on the bottom of the play area, so that it's symmetrical with each falling block. Version 1.1 sports a new preview video, as well as feature improvements to the game.
Ankara, Turkey - Sometimes, the best games in the App Store are those that take a couple of traditional favorites, and combine them to create something unique, enjoyable and addictive. And the latest example of this brilliant fusion is Simetrix by Arda Kaan Alpman. Optimized for both iPhone and iPad and available at no cost, Simetrix brilliantly blends together both endless runner games like Jetpack Joyride, and block-matching games like Tetris. Users must quickly and correctly rotate the block on the bottom of the play area, so that it's symmetrical with each falling block.
For example, if the falling block is in the shape of a capital L, then users must rotate their block so that it looks like a backwards number 7 (i.e. the falling block's mirror image). If users are successful, they score a point and the game continues. But if they fail, the game ends and they must start over.
What's more, Simetrix features an interesting twist that makes the game more challenging and nearly impossible to put down: the blocks don't all fall at the same speed. Simetrix blends together both endless runner games and block-matching games. Users must quickly and correctly rotate the block on the bottom of the play area, so that it's symmetrical with each falling block. Ankara, Turkey - Sometimes, the best games in the App Store are those that take a couple of traditional favorites, and combine them to create something unique, enjoyable and addictive. And the latest example of this brilliant fusion is Simetrix by Arda Kaan Alpman. Optimized for both iPhone and iPad and available at no cost, Simetrix brilliantly blends together both endless runner games like Jetpack Joyride, and block-matching games like Tetris. Users must quickly and correctly rotate the block on the bottom of the play area, so that it's symmetrical with each falling block.
For example, if the falling block is in the shape of a capital L, then users must rotate their block so that it looks like a backwards number 7 (i.e. the falling block's mirror image). If users are successful, they score a point and the game continues. But if they fail, the game ends and they must start over.
What's more, Simetrix features an interesting twist that makes the game more challenging and nearly impossible to put down: the blocks don't all fall at the same speed. Some blocks are somewhat slow, while others plummet pretty quickly. The longer the game goes on, the more challenging things become.

Coeur d'Alene, Idaho - DEVONtechnologies updates all editions of its intelligent information and document manager DEVONthink as well as its iOS counterpart DEVONthink To Go with synchronization improvements and bug fixes. The smart notepad DEVONnote gets an update too. All updates are free and recommended for all users.
DEVONthink 2.9.3 and DEVONthink To Go 2.0.2 bring a large number of sync-related improvements again. By using more aggressive chunking for static and small items synchronizing to sync stores, e.g. WebDAV or Dropbox, requires up to 30% less bandwidth, up to 50% less disk space, and up to 75% fewer files. This speeds up sync-related operations up to 3.7 times over the previous version.
Furthermore, the updates improve the reliability of direct connections as well as sync performance and robustness in general. On iOS, DEVONthink To Go 2.0.2 better manages memory usage when synchronizing databases with many or very large documents. This makes it less likely that iOS kills the app during sync. It's also possible to use multiple Dropbox sync stores in DEVONthink To Go now.
On the Mac, all editions of DEVONthink 2.9.3 show unsynchronized changes with a dot in the sync toolbar icon. They truncate long sync location names in the middle and show the name of the currently synchronized database in the activity panel. DEVONthink and DEVONnote 2.9.3 support Airmail 3 for sharing documents and provide more data when dragging items to third-party applications.
DEVONthink To Go 2.0.2 greatly improves the overall performance, e.g. when navigating groups, counting items, or updating the full-text index. Version 2.0.2 deletes whole databases faster too. The enhanced Clip to DEVONthink share extension works with any provided file format now. In addition, it can clean up webarchives with Instapaper and Markdown with Readability.
