Jigsaw Commando is a grid-based, WWII-themed strategy game, where commandos carefully execute moves by fitting puzzle pieces together for recon and assault. During recon, commandos gain Intel on enemy resources and troops needing rescue. During assault, players attempt to rescue troops by reconfiguring the battle field to destroy enemies and create a path to escape.
Folsom, California - Michael Jacobs Development has announced the release of Jigsaw Commando 1.0.201, a puzzle and strategy game developed specifically for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Jigsaw Commando is a grid-based, WWII-themed strategy game, where commandos rescue allied troops from enemies by strategically fitting puzzle pieces together for proper recon and assault. Within each phase, different shapes of jigsaw pieces appear for the player to connect within the board. Each block of a puzzle piece displays a friendly or enemy resource. Some blocks disable enemy troops or machinery when placed adjacent to one another. Careful placement of each piece is essential to achieving victory.
During the recon phase, Commandos must place puzzle pieces similar to Tetris, where each piece is brought to the bottom of the board and used to fit into or atop another piece. Each block contains a different symbol, such as soldiers, enemies, churches, trees, weapons, hospitals, and so on. Premeditated moves are key. Each friendly block should be placed next to an enemy block to disable it and bring down enemy points, or kept safe behind trees and buildings waiting for rescue to bring up the Commando's points. Empty squares that have not been scouted during recon will later be invaded by enemy troops.
Once recon is over, the Commandos have gained insight as to where their soldiers are located and where the enemy is hiding. During the assault phase, Commandos must use the open field jigsaw pieces to cover up any enemy blocks. This will bring down enemy points, but players must be careful not to cover a minefield or it will explode and cost them points. Tapping outside of the board will give players an idea of what each block represents in points. This will help them focus on covering enemy blocks with the highest points. Covering enemy bunkers, weapons, and more will help free allied soldiers.
Jigsaw Commando is perfect for anyone looking to keep their mind active. Each move must possess purpose to gain advantage over the enemy. The game blends together puzzle solving, strategy, and battlefield excitement for an old world take on collecting intelligence and dispatching forces. Folsom, California - Michael Jacobs Development has announced the release of Jigsaw Commando 1.0.201, a puzzle and strategy game developed specifically for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Jigsaw Commando is a grid-based, WWII-themed strategy game, where commandos rescue allied troops from enemies by strategically fitting puzzle pieces together for proper recon and assault. Within each phase, different shapes of jigsaw pieces appear for the player to connect within the board. Each block of a puzzle piece displays a friendly or enemy resource. Some blocks disable enemy troops or machinery when placed adjacent to one another. Careful placement of each piece is essential to achieving victory.
During the recon phase, Commandos must place puzzle pieces similar to Tetris, where each piece is brought to the bottom of the board and used to fit into or atop another piece. Each block contains a different symbol, such as soldiers, enemies, churches, trees, weapons, hospitals, and so on. Premeditated moves are key. Each friendly block should be placed next to an enemy block to disable it and bring down enemy points, or kept safe behind trees and buildings waiting for rescue to bring up the Commando's points. Empty squares that have not been scouted during recon will later be invaded by enemy troops.
Once recon is over, the Commandos have gained insight as to where their soldiers are located and where the enemy is hiding. During the assault phase, Commandos must use the open field jigsaw pieces to cover up any enemy blocks. This will bring down enemy points, but players must be careful not to cover a minefield or it will explode and cost them points. Tapping outside of the board will give players an idea of what each block represents in points. This will help them focus on covering enemy blocks with the highest points. Covering enemy bunkers, weapons, and more will help free allied soldiers.
Jigsaw Commando is perfect for anyone looking to keep their mind active. Each move must possess purpose to gain advantage over the enemy. The game blends together puzzle solving, strategy, and battlefield excitement for an old world take on collecting intelligence and dispatching forces. All you need is one finger to play. Enemies will approach from all angles and converge in the middle. Tap over the enemies and watch the Troll smash! The Troll must learn skills and use items to grow stronger. One skill is gravity, which allows the Troll to pull enemies to him. There are also poison and frost, which damage and freeze enemies, respectively. There are six skills overall. Items increase the Troll's attack, defense, and jump. Each upgrade changes the Troll's appearance accordingly.
There are ten unique stages, each with three levels of difficulty for a total of thirty stages. To clear a stage, the gates from which enemies emerge can be destroyed to reduce the number of enemies, but ultimately, all enemies already through the gates must be smashed. Clearing a stage in all three difficulties will unlock the next stage. Lots and lots of little soldiers are out for the Princess - and you - so be weary of them as they march toward her tower or straight for the Troll. Some of the little buggers will hide in a cart as they try to complete their mission. But don't fret, just be a hero: Save the Princess!

Every player is granted a land of their own, which they should turn into a prosperous kingdom through building defense and raiding other players. In Tower Defense mode players will defend their lands from hordes of enemy monsters through constructing and upgrading towers of four kinds, each with its own strength and weaknesses. Careful planning and knowledge of the unit's abilities largely helps advance further.

The real challenge is to produce fun games that are simple to play and still stay within the 48 hrs. development frame. It keeps us sharp for the bigger productions we normally do, says Jonas.

In addition to adding full Mac OS X Yosemite support, version 5.2 makes numerous improvements to add even greater versatility to this powerful, but easy-to-use tool.
Shakopee, Minnesota - Searchware Solutions has announced the release of Print Window 5.2 for OS X, an update to their simple but powerful window printing utility. Print Window works seamlessly with the Mac OS X Finder, allowing users to generate and print a file listing of folders using several different methods including a simple key command, the Status menu, the Dock menu, or drag and drop.
Users have complete control over what gets included in the file listings and what does not. Print Window can also print subfolder contents of a specified folder manually selected by the user. Print Window also allows complete autonomy in the sorting process. Users can sort file listings by a variety of different criteria (including ascending and descending order) and even determine the files' icons and size.
There are two different versions of Print Window: Standard Edition and Advanced Edition. The free Standard Edition includes basic features such as the ability to print full page file listings. The Advanced Edition includes full access to Print Window and is enabled when a valid serial number is entered. Both versions come in the same executable. In addition to making Print Window a fully Cocoa-based application, version 5.2 offers a wealth of new features to create a more powerful but easy-to-use tool including:
* Added the ability to export File Listings as a CSV file
* Updated the UI to better fit with the Mac OS X Yosemite aesthetic
* Many under-the-hood changes to better support Mac OS X Yosemite
* Updated application icon
* Various tweaks and bug-fixes to improve performance and respond to user-feedback
Print Window provides a wide range of options for configuring file listings. Users of Print Window Advanced have the option to save multiple different file listing settings for quick recall. Print Window enables users to easily print a file listing without having to configure common options repeatedly.
Print Window is a multifunctional tool. In the Advanced version, users can also create CD jewel case and DVD case covers. In addition to generating and printing file listings, Print Window Advanced also has the ability to save file listings as tab-delimited text and Microsoft Excel files. File listings can be exported as PDF files and the latest version adds the ability to save file listings as CSV files for use in a wide variety of other applications.

Users have complete control over what gets included in the file listings and what does not. Print Window can also print subfolder contents of a specified folder manually selected by the user. Print Window also allows complete autonomy in the sorting process. Users can sort file listings by a variety of different criteria (including ascending and descending order) and even determine the files' icons and size.
There are two different versions of Print Window: Standard Edition and Advanced Edition. The free Standard Edition includes basic features such as the ability to print full page file listings. The Advanced Edition includes full access to Print Window and is enabled when a valid serial number is entered. Both versions come in the same executable. In addition to making Print Window a fully Cocoa-based application, version 5.2 offers a wealth of new features to create a more powerful but easy-to-use tool including:

Print Window provides a wide range of options for configuring file listings. Users of Print Window Advanced have the option to save multiple different file listing settings for quick recall. Print Window enables users to easily print a file listing without having to configure common options repeatedly.
Print Window is a multifunctional tool. In the Advanced version, users can also create CD jewel case and DVD case covers. In addition to generating and printing file listings, Print Window Advanced also has the ability to save file listings as tab-delimited text and Microsoft Excel files. File listings can be exported as PDF files and the latest version adds the ability to save file listings as CSV files for use in a wide variety of other applications.
