Product Builder is an indispensable tool for any App Store developer that do not use Xcode to build applications and use alternate build environments such as Xamarin or others. Version 2.1.1 brings bug fixes, and is optimized for OS X 10.11 El Capitan.

Product Builder is an indispensable tool for any App Store developer that do not use Xcode to build applications and use alternate build environments such as Xamarin or others. Product Builder allows users to correctly submit applications with spaces inside the application name.

The app can optionally check for MASReceipt inside the app to avoid creating from an already authenticated app, (a common error). It can optionally add the app release number to the package, (to avoid submit old packages in the submission phase). It makes the repetitive creation of packages a pleasure and avoid errors creating and submitting to the App Store!

After inserting the correct setup one time only, to create a package you just need to:
1. Launch Product Builder and drag the application to submit from the finder to the Product Builder window.
2. Select source and destination (a sandbox requirement)
3. Done!

Features:
* Creates via Drag and Drop a package with the application signed with your signature.
* Handles correctly applications with spaces in the name, example: 'Product Builder'
* Put the created Package near the original app or in a preference selectable via preferences
* Auto-creates a package without spaces in the name ready to be correctly submitted to the App Store
* Optionally includes release string in the package name to avoid confusion on your Hard Disk between successive releases and during submission to the store
* Correctly handles submission of sandboxed app with signed entitlements inside
* Check if you are building using an already MAS authenticated app to avoid this kind of mistake
* Full diagnostic of the package creation in a log area
* PDF User Guide
* Uses only the installer certificate to sign the installer
* Improved main window layout

Minimum Requirements:
* OS X 10.10 or later
* 64-bit processor
* 1.3 MB

Pool Test Strip Scanner delivers Chemical Strip Test Results Easily

A new article has been published at prMac.

Pool Test Strip Scanner delivers Chemical Strip Test Results Easily - Published on 04/25/16

Indie developer, Quentin Reiser today introduces Pool Test Strip Scanner 1.0, his innovative new app utility for iOS devices. Pool Strip Test Scanner works with HTH and AquaChek color-coded strips that are widely available from major retailers. Pool owners simply align their strip, press a button, and the app's innovative machine vision technology delivers instant value/range results for five key chemical levels: Total Hardness, Free Chlorine, pH, Total Alkalinity, and Cyanuric Acid.

Edwardsville, Illinois - Pool owners who are fed up with confusing color-coded strips and want a much easier, faster and more accurate way to measure and maintain proper pool chemical levels, can now head to the App Store and download Quentin Reiser's must-have new app Pool Test Strip Scanner.

Pool Strip Test Scanner, which works with HTH and AquaChek color-coded strips that are widely available from major retailers (e.g. Walmart, Amazon.com, etc.), is simple to use. Pool owners simply align their strip, press a button, and the app's innovative machine vision technology delivers instant value/range results for five key chemical levels: Total Hardness, Free Chlorine, pH, Total Alkalinity, and Cyanuric Acid.

Total Hardness: this captures the total mineral content of the water. If hardness levels are too low, water becomes corrosive and can etch and stain surfaces. If hardness levels are too high, pool filters and pipes get clogged with scale formations, which reduce water flow and efficiency.

Free Chlorine: this captures the amount of chlorine that can disinfect and sanitize pool water, and make it safe for swimmers. Too little chlorine results in algal and bacteria growth and triggers waterborne illnesses. Too much chlorine leads to skin, nose and eye irritation.

pH levels: this measures the relatively acidity and alkalinity of pool water. If pH levels are too low (i.e. too acidic), pool walls and metal parts corrode. It also results in the release of sulphates that cause stains, and unsanitary swimming conditions. If pH levels are too high (i.e. too alkaline), pool water becomes cloudy, calcium in the water scales, filters become clogged, and swimmers experience burning and itchy skin and eyes.

Total Alkalinity (TA): this measures how much alkaline substances are in pool water. It TA levels are too low, metals corrode, water turns green, swimmers suffer from itchy and burning skin and eyes, and pH levels fluctuate wildly. If TA levels are too high, chlorine loses its capacity to safely disinfect water.

Cyanuric Acid (CYA): this measures the amount of conditioner/stabilizer in the pool. If CYA levels are too high, chlorine becomes less effective as a disinfectant, and pool water gets cloudy. If CYA levels are too low, free choline gets destroyed by ultraviolet rays, which puts swimmers at risk.

In addition, Pool Strip Test Scanner features an optional timer, which allows pool owners to schedule their test for maximize accuracy. They can also save and store their results for future reference, as well as to identify patterns that could point to problems with pool filters, pipes, drainage, etc.

"Improper chemical balance in a pool does more than just put swimmers' health and safety at risk," commented Quentin Reiser. "It also damages pool pipes, filters, reduces operational efficiency, and leads to expensive repair and replacement fees. Simply put, Pool Strip Test Scanner makes pools safe for swimmers, and helps pool owners protect their investment".

Device Requirements:
* iPhone 6, Plus, SE, iPad Air and iPod touch (6th Gen) or later
* Requires iOS 9.0 or later
* 1.8 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Pool Test Strip Scanner 1.0 is $1.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Utilities category.

Presenting Save Dan for iOS/Android - The Official Dan Bilzerian Game - Published on 04/25/16

Novasoft LLC today introduces Save Dan 1.0, their new game title for iOS and Android devices. Millionaire and poker player Dan Bilzerian has been attacked in the cyber world by sexy zombies! Your mission is to gun down these zombies before they get Dan, who has to activate signal beacons so you both get a chance to carry out the objective. Time is of the essence, so you better watch out! If you fail to save him, the undead will throw themselves at him and tear him to pieces!

Nevada, United States - Novasoft LLC today is proud to announce the release of Save Dan 1.0, their new game title developed for iOS and Android devices. Bon vivan, millionaire and poker player Dan Bilzerian has been attacked in the cyber world by sexy zombies! These villains want him as much as the long-legged beauties in real life, but unlike the cuddly girls Dan is surrounded with at all times, these creatures are bloodthirsty. Only you can help him out! Avoid and gun down bloodthirsty zombies! Choose from an array of destructive weaponry and put them to use in locations throughout America! When you play Save Dan, you can expect to hold your breath for action packed moments!

Dan himself was involved in the development of the game. He gave very valuable advice on various weapon characteristics, as well as guidance on zombie modeling and animations. "Originally the concept started out as a shooting app with a nice variety of weapons shooting inanimate targets in a variety of environments. I suggested making it more interesting by having a variety of zombie chicks chasing me to rip my clothes off and "abuse" me. The player's objective is simply to save my ass! It kinda took off from there with some cool additional features," said Dan commenting the launching of the game.

The game has a twisted plot. You and Dan have to team up to take out the members of Dan's entourage that turned into zombies after a radiation burst in Area 51, Nevada. And when we say take them out, we don't mean take them out to dinner.

Your mission is to gun down these zombies before they get Dan, who has to activate signal beacons so you both get a chance to carry out the objective, which is to escape the zombie madness and survive. Time is of the essence, so you better watch out! If you fail to save him, the undead will throw themselves at him and tear him to pieces! Helping you out are Dan's trusted friends, his pet goat Zeus and adorable Smushball the cat.

Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
* Requires iOS 8.0 or later
* 268 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Save Dan 1.0 is Free and available worldwide through the App Store in the Games category. There is also an Android version available on Google Play. According to the game's official website, Save Dan will be expanded with new features, content and DLC's in the future.

Accelerate Downloads with Maxel - The Smart Download Manager for OS X - Published on 04/25/16

Indie developer, Chris Li announces Maxel 2.0.2, the important update to his download accelerator for Mac OS X. Maxel accelerates file downloads by using up to 100 simultaneous connections. A true native Mac app, Maxel offers users a complete downloading solution, with drag-and-drop downloading, a built-in browser, and browser extensions for use with popular Mac web browsers. Version 2.0.2 fixes a crash that occurred when the scheduler reloaded a file that was filtered out of the current view.

Bellevue, Washington - Independent developer, Chris Li is today pleased to announce the release of Maxel 2.0.2, an important update to his download accelerator app for Mac OS X. Maxel offers the ability to accelerate file downloads by using up to 100 simultaneous connections to carry the transfer load. The app offers users drag-and-drop convenience, as well as a built-in web browser, and also offers integration with popular web browsers.

Maxel allows users to add files to its download queue via drag-and-drop a link, or via web snippets directly from a web browser. Maxel then intelligently extracts the download link, and automatically begins downloading the file. Users can also make use of Maxel's convenient and speedy downloading abilities via its handy browser extensions, which work with Safari, Chrome, and Firefox. The extension allows users to add files to the Maxel queue from directly within the browser, by simply right-clicking and adding them to the queue. Maxel's browser extensions can also detect any download filesize over a user-configurable size limit, and automatically send the downloads to Maxel for acceleration.

"Downloading a file is much like moving shelves of books from one library to another library across town," says Maxel's developer Chris Li. "Let's say you have 100 bookshelves to move. If you only have one moving van, and it can only carry 5 shelves at a time, it will take you 20 round trips to move all of the bookshelves. However, if you find 9 friends that also have similar moving vans to help you, it will only take as little as 2 round trips to move the shelves! Downloading a file with Maxel is a lot like getting a bunch of friends to help you move, except Maxel's movers love moving, and won't make you pay for gas and pizza afterwards!"

Features:
* Speeds up most downloads by splitting a file into up to 100 segments
* Offers the ability to resume most downloads, even if your Mac has restarted
* Automatically retries any stalled downloads
* Manages your download queue for you
* Drag & drop selections from a webpage into Maxel, and it automatically download any links found within
* Initiates downloads from within popular Safari, Chrome, or Firefox web browsers
* Maxel's built-in browser allows users to login into file sharing websites to download password protected files
* Computes MD5/SHA1 hashes of files to detect possible corruption
* Uses SSH public key authentication for SFTP file transfers
* Offers a convenient API for adding downloads in scripts
* Supports HTTP, HTTPS, & SFTP protocols

A feature many users are sure to find convenient is Maxel's built-in web browser. Some download accelerators might struggle with downloading files that are protected with custom login pages, such as those stored on cloud backup sites. But when a user attempts to open a webpage to download a file from behind a login wall using Maxel, it automatically detects this, and returns the proper webpage that allows the user to enter their login credentials. Once logged in, Maxell closes the browser automatically, and begins the download.

"I try to keep in touch with the Maxel user community on GitHub, and use their suggestions to keep Maxel updated and better with every new version," shares Chris. "In version 2.0, I added a number of new features, including a 'quicklook' at the progress of files that are currently being downloaded, as well as showing the speed and completion stats for downloads right on the dock icon." Chris also carefully monitors bug reports from users, making sure he can quickly squash bugs, such as the fix in version 2.0.2 that fixes an issue that crashed the app when the scheduler reloaded a file that was filtered out of the current view.

System Requirements:
* OS X 10.10 or later
* 64-bit processor
* 5.3 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Maxel 2.0.2 is only $7.99 USD (or an equivalent amount in other currencies), and is available worldwide exclusively through the Mac App Store in the Utilities category. A free demo version is available for download from the Maxel website that will accelerate only one download at a time. Review codes are available upon request.

Based in Bellevue, Washington, Chris Li is an independent developer who works in his spare time on developing apps for Mac OS X. Chris first began developing apps in 2011, when he was searching for a download accelerator that was native and polished for Mac OS X and was unsatisfied with the alternatives, which either had awkward interfaces or didn't actually accelerate downloads. Chris decided the best person to create what he wanted was himself, and he began developing apps. All Material and Software (C) Copyright 2016 Chris Li. All Rights Reserved. Cardflow: Create and share interactive mindmaps on your iPad - Published on 04/25/16

Seattle based Qrayon today released Cardflow 2.1 for the iPad, a major update to their popular digital index card App. Cardflow 2.1 adds major new features including the ability to insert links to web pages and online videos, and create tappable hotspots to navigate between cards. This can be used for mind-mapping and to create interactive experiences without any coding. Links continue to work in exported PDFs, which can be shared with colleagues and friends.

Seattle, Washington - Qrayon today released Cardflow 2.1 for the iPad, a major update to their popular digital index card App.

Cardflow is a popular tool for novelists, screenwriters, students, educators, and business decision makers. The new features in Cardflow 2.1 dramatically expand its capabilities.

Familiar Tools, New Powers:
What makes a great tool is how closely it maps to the way we think, and how well it fits with the ways we already work. Cardflow's interface was deliberately based on index cards because a lot of people already know how to use them. It fits an old and comfortable way of thinking, allowing you to be productive right away.

But of course, a digital index card can do a lot more. It's not really constrained by size, or what you can put on it. It's like a blank digital canvas, limited only by how we choose to think about it.

So, what else could go on a "card"? These days, the ultimate piece of content is a web page.

Your Personal Web:
In Cardflow 2.1 you can now insert a web page on a card. This will place a thumbnail screenshot of it as the card picture, and add a dynamic link in the upper right corner. Tap the link in Selection mode to open the page.

This is ideal for linking to online articles, videos, and references, but you can also use it to link to your own private documents stored in the cloud. Services such as Dropbox allow you to copy links directly to your files. Simply paste this link into Cardflow's web browser to create a card for that file.

You can now use a board as a virtual desktop to store links to files for a particular project or client.

Mapping The Mind:
Index cards are great because they let us store a single thought or concept on them, and easily organize these into bigger ideas. In the real world, we arrange index cards spatially into clusters or stacks, and even the first version of Cardflow made this easier with Magic Arrange.

With Cardflow 2.1, you can also link cards to each other. Tap and hold on a card, then drag to another card to add a link. Each link is represented by a hotspot on the source card. Tapping on the hotspot takes you to the linked card, and the hotspots can be resized and positioned.

At its most basic level, this lets you create networks of ideas, just like you can with more specialized mind-mapping tools. Oh, and you can export the text from linked cards in the OPML format which can be imported into most outliner and mind mapping Apps.

But you can do so much more with links...

Prototyping Interactions:
Position the link hotspots on your cards to create sharable interactive "tap-through" experiences. Both card and web links continue to work in exported PDF files. You can even publish these PDFs online.

Use Cardflow to prototype interactive user-experience designs, share branching presentations and narratives, or even create self-contained wiki-style references.

For example, Cardflow can be used to create interactive "walkabout tours" of your house or office: Put a picture of each of the main rooms of your house on a separate card, and add links to connect them spatially. You can even add hotspots to "zoom" in and out of detailed areas like your desk. Share the PDF with your friends and family so they can view it on their own devices.

First-Class Keyboard:
Cardflow 2.1 also comes with a number of other refinements. It is now much easier to use Cardflow primarily from a hardware keyboard. Use the arrow keys to select cards, then press Enter to open them. Cmd T toggles text mode, allowing you to rapidly type on new cards with just a keyboard.

Pro Thinking Tools:
Cardflow's design goal is to expand on what professional-grade creative and "thinking" tools really mean on the iPad. Like pen and paper, the iPad excels at capturing handwritten and hand drawn information. But the difference is that you can easily layer on additional structure and relationships, and readily incorporate them into the rest of your digital workflow.

This ability is what differentiates the iPad in the future of computing, and the updates in Cardflow 2.1 are meant to be another significant step in that direction.

Key Features:
* Magic Arrange: Group cards into stacks and rows by swiping with three fingers
* Card and web links: Add interactive links that continue to work in exported PDFs
* Silky smooth vector ink. Resizable without loss of resolution.
* Shape recognizer to help draw straight lines, circles, and rectangles
* Color-select allows you to separate overlaid ink
* Text editor with formatting (bold, italics, and headings)
* First-class hardware keyboard: Navigate and edit text with just the keyboard
* Export to JPEG, OPML, and high-res interactive PDF
* Color-coded project organizer
* Full iPad Pro and Apple Pencil support, with multitasking

Device Requirements:
* Compatible with iPad and iPad Pro
* Requires iOS 8.0 or later
* 19.7 MB

Pricing and Availability:
There are two editions of Cardflow. Cardflow (Standard Edition) is Free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Business category. Cardflow has additional features, and is priced at $9.99 USD (or equivalent local currency).
