Essen, Germany - Marcus Roskosch today is proud to announce a new App for Tesla Car owner. A Tesla is a Computer of Wheels. Marcus, well known as creator of a range of highly successful Apps for engineers said, "once I received my new Tesla, I could not wait to explore the programming interface (API) of the Car. A Tesla is basically a Computer on Wheels." he added.
Tesla Cars provide a lot of information about its exact configuration, current state and driving statistics. It can also be controlled over the air in many ways such as honking the horn or change the temperature of the climate system. Just a fraction of this is possible from Tesla's own App. It is understandable that Tesla does not offer all features to their customers but "I was quite disappointed by looking at the available third-party Apps on the App Store," Marcus said. And so he wrote his own App.
Tesla Explorer claims to offer all data available from a Tesla. That's hard to prove but at least more than any other App on the App Store provides. This data is also garnished with additional, easy to understand background information.
Everything can be exported to Spreadsheet Apps like Numbers or Excel on the same device or to a PC or Mac desktop computer.
The huge amount of information provided by Tesla Explorer is not just interesting for a power user, it can also be useful, for instance when buying a used Tesla, you can double check the features of that car by using my App. "Owners might not even know if a Tesla Car might be eligible for a free 'P' upgrade, because Tesla doesn't tell if not being asked but my App can tell", Marcus said.
Security of Tesla Explorer was top priority for Marcus. "It was a nightmare to see other Apps storing Tesla credentials inside the App," he said. "My App uses a high secure token based technique, provided by Tesla which never requires any credentials to be stored somewhere," Marcus added. While working on that part of his App, he was even in direct contact with Tesla engineers after identifying a minor security glitch in Tesla's API which has now been fixed.
In addition to plain information, Tesla Explorer can also send Commands to the Car such as honking the horn, opening the Doors or changing the temperature of the Climate system. Finally, Tesla Explorer can even record complete trips which can be re-played and analyzed in various ways for instance for driving efficiency.

Marcus, well known as creator of a range of highly successful Apps for engineers said, "once I received my new Tesla, I could not wait to explore the programming interface (API) of the Car. A Tesla is basically a Computer on Wheels." he added.
Tesla Cars provide a lot of information about its exact configuration, current state and driving statistics. It can also be controlled over the air in many ways such as honking the horn or change the temperature of the climate system. Just a fraction of this is possible from Tesla's own App. It is understandable that Tesla does not offer all features to their customers but "I was quite disappointed by looking at the available third-party Apps on the App Store," Marcus said. And so he wrote his own App.
Tesla Explorer claims to offer all data available from a Tesla. That's hard to prove but at least more than any other App on the App Store provides. This data is also garnished with additional, easy to understand background information.
Everything can be exported to Spreadsheet Apps like Numbers or Excel on the same device or to a PC or Mac desktop computer.
The huge amount of information provided by Tesla Explorer is not just interesting for a power user, it can also be useful, for instance when buying a used Tesla, you can double check the features of that car by using my App. "Owners might not even know if a Tesla Car might be eligible for a free 'P' upgrade, because Tesla doesn't tell if not being asked but my App can tell", Marcus said.
Security of Tesla Explorer was top priority for Marcus. "It was a nightmare to see other Apps storing Tesla credentials inside the App," he said. "My App uses a high secure token based technique, provided by Tesla which never requires any credentials to be stored somewhere," Marcus added. While working on that part of his App, he was even in direct contact with Tesla engineers after identifying a minor security glitch in Tesla's API which has now been fixed.
In addition to plain information, Tesla Explorer can also send Commands to the Car such as honking the horn, opening the Doors or changing the temperature of the Climate system. Finally, Tesla Explorer can even record complete trips which can be re-played and analyzed in various ways for instance for driving efficiency.

In time for the shutdown of the Xmarks bookmarking service next week, Sheep Systems has published version 2.7 of its bookmarks managers: BookMacster, Synkmark, Markster and Smarky. These native Mac apps offer additional manual management tools not found in web apps: sorting alphabetically, finding and eliminating duplicates, find, search and replace, removing URL "cruft," changing insecure bookmarks to https://, and, of course, verifying that bookmarks still work.
San Jose, California - In time for what appears to be the final shutdown of Xmarks next week, Sheep Systems has published version 2.7 of BookMacster, Synkmark, Markster and Smarky, its bookmarks management apps. (The four apps are built from the same code and are updated simultaneously with the same version number.)
* Synkmark ($16.95 USD) is the app which most directly replaces Xmarks.
* BookMacster ($22.95 USD) is geared toward power users who don't mind a little more cognitive overhead. For example, it supports bookmarks collections in multiple documents instead of a single "shoebox".
* Smarky ($11.95 USD) is the manager for Safari bookmarks only.
* Markster ($16.95 USD) takes a different approach, providing a central store of bookmarks which is accessed directly, bypassing the built-in bookmarks of web browsers. Markster users can sync with the browsers' bookmarks, but only manually.
"To our knowledge, our four apps are the only non-Apple apps that can properly sync with Safari bookmarks in iCloud," says Sheep Systems' Chief Engineer Jerry Krinock. "And most users nowadays *are* using iCloud for Safari, because iCloud is the only way to sync Safari bookmarks on iOS devices."
Unlike Xmarks, these apps do not sync your bookmarks to a Sheep Systems server. "We work in *tandem* with iCloud, Firefox Sync, *Sign In* to Google and Opera Sync", Krinock explains. "There is no sense duplicating services built into web browsers, which most users are using at least one of anyhow."
Instead of funding its operations by pushing featured websites, Sheep Systems "pays its bills the old-fashioned way, by selling the apps." BookMacster, Synkmark and Smarky get frequent updates due to frequent changes in web browsers, and occasionally Sheep Systems charges for major upgrades. The last such upgrade was in October 2015.

The main change in version 2.7 is elimination of the Selection menu, moving its items into the Edit menu, and adding missing actions to it. Krinock continues, "Contextual menus, which are accessed by performing a secondary click (most people hold down the 'control' key) on a target item, should offer the same actions available in the main Edit menu. But many apps challenge users' muscle memory because there are some actions available in the main Edit menu but not in the contextual menu, and others vice versa. Version 2.7 gets that right in our apps. Users get the same actions whether they hit the main Edit menu, or the contextual menu."
New users will be prompted to get an anonymous 3-day Demo license after using one of the apps. A second Demo license may be obtained, providing six total demo days. The apps work in macOS 10.10, 10.11, 10.12 or 10.13.

Heavily armed boars are ready for battle, but nothing can stop a brave Viking named TurboAxe, who is primed for victory. It's time to saddle-up a dragon and ride into battle.
In Furious Heroes, heavily-armed malicious boars have kidnapped our Viking hero's girlfriend, and he's not going to stand for that. He hops on to the back of his trusty dragon and takes to the skies, ready for battle. Each dragon has a unique skill and can be unlocked by completing levels of the game. Players can also power up their Viking's skills, so they're ready to show the boar's who's in charge.
The game uses a simple one-finger control system. Players simply tap and hold their finger on their device's screen to make TurboAxe go up, lift their finger from the screen to allow the hero to go down. No need to worry about shooting, TurboAxe takes care of that.
