KeckWatch has been built using the engine of the popular award-winning astronomy app Distant Suns, and provides users with a handheld-planetarium, allowing them to turn their phone in any direction to see the stars and planets in their current positions, day or night. By altering the preferences in the app, users can explore the common names of these interest points, the constellations they are a part of, their role in zodiacal figures, their historical names, and even their Hawaiian star names. Other features can help users explore meteor showers and solar systems.
The app will also show users when the mighty Keck Observatory telescopes are on sky and in use by astronomers, as well as where the telescopes are being aimed in the sky at any instant.
The W. M. Keck Observatory operates the largest, most scientifically productive telescopes on Earth. The two, 10-meter optical/infrared telescopes near the summit of Maunakea on the Island of Hawai�i feature a suite of advanced instruments including imagers, multi-object spectrographs, high-resolution spectrographs, integral-field spectrographs and world-leading laser guide star adaptive optics systems.

The cauldron gives life to ten stories in all. In each tale, the child participates in the action by pushing, touching or shaking.
Paris, France - What will happen if I stir a wizard, a skeleton and a mouse together in a cauldron? Little readers of Stories and Magic Dust for iPad toss three ingredients into the big white cauldron and a story is created, just for them. A skeleton, a wizard, a dragon, a mouse and the wind - these ingredients are turned into magic dust that transforms into a special bedtime story. The reader decides who stars! Tembo is a desktop search tool based upon the powerful Spotlight engine. Tembo's strength is its easy to use interface. It's signature feature are the context-sensitive filters to narrow down search results. In first pass, Tembo groups search results by file type categories. For each group the top 10 matches are displayed. Preferences allow for groups to be enabled, disabled and reordered.
The real power and convenience of Tembo is revealed on drill-down into a group. Here Tembo lists up to 10'00 search results. Next the results are context-relevant filters. These make it easy to break down longs search results lists. E.g. a sidebar in the Documents group lists file types of found files. A single click reduces Documents search results to only Word files.
