KeyCue 9.8 is ready for macOS Big Sur and offers further enhancements - Published on 10/20/20

Ergonis Software today released KeyCue 9.8, an improved version of the company's highly acclaimed productivity tool. KeyCue is a versatile assistant, which presents frequently used elements on cue, such as keyboard shortcuts, local files and folders, and URL collections. Over time, KeyCue users will automatically remember frequently used shortcuts and start working more efficiently. KeyCue 9.8 is ready for Apple's next big macOS version Big Sur and offers many further enhancements.

Perg, Austria - Ergonis Software today released KeyCue 9.8, an improved version of the company's highly acclaimed productivity tool. Although it's just a minor update, KeyCue 9.8 is yet another milestone in the more than 15 years of development and enhancement of the popular keyboard shortcut cheat sheet - KeyCue 9.8 is ready for Apple's next major macOS version Big Sur, which is expected to launch later this year.

Besides enhancements and tweaks to make KeyCue a first-class citizen on Big Sur, the new version brings a number of other enhancements. Files and folders can be suppressed in the folder view, and in theme definitions, group and menu headings can now have an alignment attribute. Also, in the Folder view, items are now sorted in the same way as in the Finder, in particular when it comes to items that contain numbers. Besides that, KeyCue 9.8 includes fixes and workarounds for user-reported issues and improves compatibility with certain third-party apps. Visit Ergonis Software's website to learn more about the changes in this release and to download and try the new version.

The productivity paradox of keyboard shortcuts is that shortcuts were designed to increase productivity. However, productivity actually decreases when applications provide large numbers of shortcuts, in particular when the shortcuts are defined inconsistently across applications. KeyCue's elegantly simple solution is to display an instant overview of currently available keyboard shortcuts, application-specific menu shortcuts as well as system-wide hotkeys, and user-defined shortcut descriptions. Over time, KeyCue users will automatically remember frequently used shortcuts and start working more efficiently.

In addition to keyboards shortcuts, KeyCue can display an Emoji table (click any Emoji to quickly insert it in the current text), a Folder view table (which serves as a quick launcher for frequently used applications and documents), and a URL table (for frequently used web pages and other links). Users who have Typinator and PopChar installed can also use KeyCue to quickly access Typinator snippets as well as recent and favorite characters from PopChar.

KeyCue has already received many awards, including a 4.5-Mice award from MacWorld magazine.

System Requirements:
KeyCue 9.8 requires Mac OS X Lion (10.7) or newer, is recommended for macOS Catalina (10.15), and is compatible with the current beta versions of macOS Big Sur (11.0).

Availability and Ordering:
KeyCue can be purchased securely on the Ergonis Software website. The upgrade to KeyCue 9.8 is free for anyone who purchased a license for KeyCue on or after October 1st, 2017. Upgrade paths are available for owners of older licenses. All KeyCue 9 purchases (new and upgrades alike) include all subsequent 9.x upgrades at no additional cost. Mons, Belgium - Creaceed today releases Emulsio version 3.5, a major update to their video stabilization app for iPhone and iPad. Emulsio 3.5 adds a new video encoding pipeline that gives more advanced users full control on generated output video, a 'Transcode' extension as well as iOS 14 improvements.

Emulsio lets users stabilize videos using specific image analysis technology, providing full control over the process. Version 3.5 now offers a fully exposed video encoder that provides several important features: user-adjustable output file format, custom bitrate/quality setting, video and audio codec choices, and output resolution adjustment. The new Transcode extension now allows re-encoding existing videos at a desired quality/size level. Further enhancements include a better video import handling using the new & more capable iOS 14 photo/video picker to easily browse and search through the video library.

Emulsio 3.5 is thus an even greater companion app to video content creators (YouTube, Instagram, etc.), especially when using third-party camera footage (GoPro(R), drones...), which are fully supported. Emulsio comes with a built-in preview to fine-tune results prior to final video export.

New features in 3.5:
* iOS 14 enhancements: video import from the new & more capable (filter, search, etc.) iOS 14 photo/video picker
* Improved handling of user privacy with support for photo albums security constraints of iOS 14
* A Transcode extension for transcoding existing videos that can be triggered from Photos, Files, or any other app

Video encoder with the following features:
* User-adjustable output file format (mov, mp4, m4a)
* Custom bitrate/quality setting (preset or raw value)
* Video and audio codec choices (H.264, HEVC, AAC...)
* Output resolution adjustment (full or reduced size)
* Estimation of output file size

Other features include:
* Non-destructive time editing
* Adjustable stabilization strength and motion intent (standard or cinematic)
* Stabilizer data reporting
* Black border handling
* Discontinuity handling in video stream
* iOS Photos extension to process videos directly in the Photos app.
* Import videos from Files app (3rd party camera footage)
* Live previewing & split-screen comparison of stabilized video vs. original one
* Frame by frame visualization of motion compensation and associated limits
* Optimized for 120 and 240 FPS videos
* Optimized for 64-bit devices
* Fast, GPU-optimized image processing to handle the video in a fraction of its duration

Pricing and Availability:
Emulsio 3.5 requires an iPhone or iPad running iOS 13.0 or later. It can be freely downloaded on the App Store, and is localized in 14 languages. The stabilization can be tried out as well as video editing features. Pro Pack 2 offers support for 4K videos, improved correction of rolling shutter distortion including third-party sensor calibration, and removal of the watermark. It can be purchased within the app for $10.99/11,99 Euro. This update is free for existing users.
