New York based RoGame Software announces the release of Space 2048 for Mac OS. Space 2048 recreates the 2048 game in outer space with amazing visuals, animations and the universe as background. It has great sound effects, includes a soundtrack and has you move entire planets to get to your score in style, surrounded by asteroids, suns and galaxies. Space 2048 is the full game - no add ons needed and it makes for great entertainment for the entire family.
Rochester, New York - Single player games are a breed of their own. Unlike in chess or backgammon there is no opponent and at times not even a winner. We play these games because they provide a moment of respite - a chance to wrap one's thoughts around something non-vital yet challenging. Space 2048 emphasizes the mini-vacation aspect of the single-player game and moves us right into outer space. The backdrops are some of the most fantastic images taken by the Hubble Space Telescope with captions in the lower left screen to inform us if we are looking at the Antennae Galaxies, the Mystic Mountain or maybe the famous Ring Nebula.
Contributing greatly to the already quite fantastic atmosphere is the aural landscape of the game. It consists of deep rumbling sound effects that comment on the merging of planets, the achievement of a new level in moves or points and an entire soundtrack. The latter is barely audible at the beginning and slowly evolves into a part of the game's soundscape.
Game pieces are rotating planets expensively rendered in 3D each with their distinct character, some earth-like, some volcanic and some with moon. They are moved via the on-screen arrow buttons, WASD or arrow keys on the keyboard.

Irvine, California - Everybody at one time or another has wondered about the temperature right where they are. Finding this type of temperature has just become easier thanks to the launch of "Tempi", on Kickstarter, by Vencipio, LLC. Tempi is used in two ways:

Finding this type of temperature has just become easier thanks to the launch of "Tempi", on Kickstarter, by Vencipio, LLC. Tempi is used in two ways:

Mirabel (Quebec) Canada - Independent developer Mathieu Brassard has announced the release of Explore the Animal Kingdom 1.6.1 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The first App in a series of four, Explore the Animal Kingdom is especially designed for babies and preschoolers and provides them with rich visual and auditory content that teaches about animals. This new version allows us to customize pictures of all built-in cards. It is also now possible to create new cards by adding your own pictures.
Easy-to-use and intuitive, this app captivates kids by presenting them with 100 high-quality pictures of animals. When children touch one of the pictures in landscape mode, they will hear the sound of that animal. The app includes animals that you would see at the zoo, such as monkeys and elephants, and it also includes animals that you might see walking down the street, like dogs, cats or raccoons. A portrait shows the picture and name of the animal. Touching the picture will reveal the sound the animal makes, and touching the name will pronounce it.
A customization module allows users to change pictures, instrument names and record custom sounds and pronunciation. Parents can even record their child's voice to show how he or she is doing! It contains also a lot of features to customize kids learning experience. Like a slide show mode, random cards order, a quiz mode by hiding names, possibility of hiding instruments, etc.
Other Apps in this series, such as Discover Musical Instruments, EducaVroom and EducaFood, are also aimed at children between the ages of 0 to 6 years, and they are available through the App Store. All Apps of this series include words in English, French and Spanish. A free version of each of this app is also available on the App Store. It contains the same simple, fun, and educational elements, having about a third of full version's contents.
