The updates are free and recommended for all users.
Coeur d'Alene, Idaho - FDEVONtechnologies, LLC today updates all editions of its intelligent information and document manager DEVONthink as well as the smart notebook DEVONnote. The revised view/edit pane of DEVONthink and DEVONnote 2.8.11 shows icons for documents that cannot be displayed. Automatically opened panels such as the Activity or Log panels are no longer activated by default. This way they don't unnecessarily interrupt the user's workflow.
Adding metadata to PDFs created from scans using text recognition (OCR) becomes much easier with DEVONthink Pro Office 2.8.11. The rewritten entry panel can be resized and allows to browse all pages of the created PDF. Users can select and copy text or use the contextual menu for more options. Also, email archiving with DEVONthink Pro Office fixes attachments on-the-fly. This improves viewing, indexing and converting of attachments. It no longer indexes corrupt messages, too.
DEVONthink Pro and Pro Office 2.8.11 are more compatible to RSS 1.0 news feeds. Images in news articles scale by default to full width now. All editions of DEVONthink and DEVONnote also fix several bugs and minor glitches.

Available at no-cost and created by Spritesoft Development, Choppy Tap is refreshingly easy to understand, yet tough to master. There are three game options: launch a brand new game, continue a game, or choose the phenomenal "vs. mode" and battle head-to-head against a friend on the same device.
For the one-player options (new game or continue game), users find themselves on an open landscape, and must furiously tap their screen to use their weapon and overpower a sequence of enemies. Users can also keep an eye on their skill level and weapon experience level, both of which fluctuate based on performance. Once users reach 100 percent experience on a particular weapon, they get to browse their inventory and see what new weapon has been unlocked. There are over 50 unique weapons.
In addition, users can take advantage of power ups to help them triumph and climb levels. For example, they can temporarily double the damage that their weapon inflicts, and so on. Each weapon has its own specific power ups, and discovering them is part of the game's fun and excitement. At any time, users can also check out key statistics for both themselves and their enemy, including hit points, level, tap count, list of skills, and so on.
Another interesting Choppy Tap feature is the "rebirth" option, which allows users to essentially re-start the game from scratch, except they will have a 1.5 multiplier (i.e. they will inflict 1.5x damage instead of 1). This allows users to rapidly climb levels and defeat some particularly tough enemies. Rebirth points are calculated based on a user's current level, with 1 rebirth point being earned for every 100 levels.
For the fantastic two-player option ("vs. mode"), users play on the same device and put their reflexes, coordination, dexterity, and concentration skills to the test. Each user starts with 100 hit points, and must get the other down to zero points to win the game. This mode features both an offensive and defensive angle. On offense, users tap to hurl weapons at their opponent. On defense, users tap to use weapons as a shield to block oncoming attacks. It's incredibly fun and no two vs. mode games are ever alike.
And while all of this fighting and tapping is going on, users are treated to excellent sound effects (which can be muted as desired), and fun pixel art graphics that look sharp on both tablets and smartphones.

With an endless gameplay, Floaties keeps you hooked as you travel 8 different worlds filled with specific obstacles. All you have to do is tap to keep the characters floating, but the easy controls are balanced by an almost impossible gameplay:
* Endless Floating Gameplay: Control up to 4 "floaties" at the same time each with its own color by simply tapping to help them float. Each floatie is immune to the same color obstacles but is destroyed instantly by obstacles with other colors. Your main goal is to have a fleet of all colors and to try surviving the longest. Easy to play, but impossible to survive for long.
* 8 Adventurous Worlds: Help your floaties survive through the ancient world of Egypt, the sci-fi landscape of the Moon, the unlawful Wild Wild West, the dangerous Jurassic Park and more. Each of the 8 playable worlds feature its own particularities depicted in eye-catching 3D graphics so get ready to dodge out-of-orbit satellites on the Moon, T-Rex bones in Jurassic Park and hundreds others!
* Dozens of Characters: From flying drones, chicken, rockets to E.T., Cleopatra or even Jack the pirate you can unlock more than 40 different fun characters. Collect coins throughout the game and use those to spin the wheel of fortune to get a new random character or unlock your favorite one. Gain experience with each character and level them up to 5 stars!
* Powerups and abilities: Aside coins you can collect special objects that help you gain powerups for a limited time (i.e. collect 4 potion bottles to double your coin collection for 15 seconds). With your new abilities you'll survive longer and score higher.
* Solve Quests: Each world has a theoretically endless flying/floating gameplay, although in reality you die A LOT, but offers side quests too. Can you collect 7 items of the same color? Or have one of RGBY floatie destroyed a couple of times? The more quests you solve, the tougher that level gets. You start at Easy, advance to Medium and become a master when you reach the Hard level of difficulty.
* Achievements & Leaderboard: Connect via Google Play Services/ Games Play Services to unlock more achievements and access the social or global leaderboards if your score is high enough. You'll also be able to analyze the statistics for each world, such as how many items you've collected, how many quests you've completed, what was the best score and MUCH MORE!
* Multiplayer Challenges: Provoke up to 4 of your friends to a game of keeping floating characters alive! You can play the game in multiplayer mode and this gives 4 users the chance to play Floaties on the same device. Who can be the best? Only practice will tell!
Aside surviving all sorts of entrapments that destroy Floaties of a different color (i.e. than the obstacle color) you must collect coins, power-ups and character resurrection items. Play often and you will be able to get free coins too by pulling the handle of a slot machine. The same game will unlock a random character for 100 coins. Each world you play in features awesome 3D graphics and well-designed characters that create a great gaming experience especially accompanied by an entertaining soundtrack and sounds.

The team is currently preparing Circuland's Spanish version and has already initiated other educational projects for the App Store.

AssistiveWare and Acapela Group announces genuine French Text to Speech children's voices. The voices, called Elise and Valentin, are made by and for children. Beginning today the voices are available as a free download in AssistiveWare's Pictello, a visual storytelling app for iOS that's often used in the classroom for social stories and schedules to support children with autism and Down syndrome. Children can share stories with voices that are age appropriate and natural-sounding.
Amsterdam, Netherlands - Today AssistiveWare and Acapela Group announced the release of genuine French Text to Speech children's voices. The voices, called Elise and Valentin, are made by and for children. Beginning today the voices are available as a free download in AssistiveWare's Pictello, a visual storytelling app for iOS that's often used in the classroom for social stories and schedules to support children with autism and Down syndrome.
In France, Belgium and Switzerland, over 100,000 francophone children between 2 and 14 years old are estimated to not be able to make themselves understood with their own voice. With today's release of the French children's voices, children can finally share stories with voices that are age appropriate and natural-sounding. In Pictello, the children's voices are available in two variants; one that speaks numbers between 70 and 99 in the Belgian French way, and one speaking those numbers in the Parisian French way.
Soon these voices will support even more French children with autism and other diagnoses. Later in June they will be added to AssistiveWare's text-based communication app, Proloquo4Text. This fall AssistiveWare will release its award-winning communication app, Proloquo2Go, in French. The app, already available in English and Spanish, has been optimized for French in collaboration with French AAC experts.
"French has always been an important language at AssistiveWare," David Niemeijer, CEO of AssistiveWare says. " After AssistiveWare was founded in 2000 with the release of on-screen keyboard KeyStrokes, French was the first additional language we supported."
The new French children's voices are also available on Mac through the Infovox iVox Voice Manager co-developed by Acapela Group and AssistiveWare. By using Apple's built-in speech functions, the voices can read almost any text on Mac OS X. Combined with AssistiveWare's word processor Wrise the voices also support French children in reading and writing.
AssistiveWare and Acapela Group have collaborated on genuine children's Text to Speech voices since 2012, now offering 16 children's voices. Both companies are looking forward to keep continuing offering voices for kids all over the world.

AssistiveWare and Acapela Group announces genuine French Text to Speech children's voices. The voices, called Elise and Valentin, are made by and for children. Beginning today the voices are available as a free download in AssistiveWare's Pictello, a visual storytelling app for iOS that's often used in the classroom for social stories and schedules to support children with autism and Down syndrome. Children can share stories with voices that are age appropriate and natural-sounding.
Amsterdam, Netherlands - Today AssistiveWare and Acapela Group announced the release of genuine French Text to Speech children's voices. The voices, called Elise and Valentin, are made by and for children. Beginning today the voices are available as a free download in AssistiveWare's Pictello, a visual storytelling app for iOS that's often used in the classroom for social stories and schedules to support children with autism and Down syndrome.
In France, Belgium and Switzerland, over 100,000 francophone children between 2 and 14 years old are estimated to not be able to make themselves understood with their own voice. With today's release of the French children's voices, children can finally share stories with voices that are age appropriate and natural-sounding. In Pictello, the children's voices are available in two variants; one that speaks numbers between 70 and 99 in the Belgian French way, and one speaking those numbers in the Parisian French way.
Soon these voices will support even more French children with autism and other diagnoses. Later in June they will be added to AssistiveWare's text-based communication app, Proloquo4Text. This fall AssistiveWare will release its award-winning communication app, Proloquo2Go, in French. The app, already available in English and Spanish, has been optimized for French in collaboration with French AAC experts.
"French has always been an important language at AssistiveWare," David Niemeijer, CEO of AssistiveWare says. " After AssistiveWare was founded in 2000 with the release of on-screen keyboard KeyStrokes, French was the first additional language we supported."
The new French children's voices are also available on Mac through the Infovox iVox Voice Manager co-developed by Acapela Group and AssistiveWare. By using Apple's built-in speech functions, the voices can read almost any text on Mac OS X. Combined with AssistiveWare's word processor Wrise the voices also support French children in reading and writing.
AssistiveWare and Acapela Group have collaborated on genuine children's Text to Speech voices since 2012, now offering 16 children's voices. Both companies are looking forward to keep continuing offering voices for kids all over the world.
