Flying drones in first person view (FPV) perspective with a virtual reality headset is an amazing experience for the pilot. So far this experience was limited to high-end drones and required buying expensive dedicated FPV goggles. With the new iPhone app DroneVR and a virtual reality headset mount such as Google Cardboard, Zeiss VR One or FreeFly VR a normal iPhone can be turned into an affordable FPV headset for DJI drones.
DroneVR connects to popular drones such as the DJI Phantom 2/3 or the DJI Inspire 1 and renders the live video stream from the drone's camera in side-by-side stereo. Advanced lens distortion correction algorithm are applied in real-time to achieve high definition video quality in up to 720p at 30 frames per second.
Head-tracking via the iPhone's motion sensors allows the pilot to position the drone's camera simply by moving the head. This allows a single pilot to focus the camera accurately on a point of interest while flying at the same time. For the DJI Phantom Series head tracking is supported for camera pitch. With the DJI Inspire 1 head tracking is supported across all three axis.
DroneVR blends information such as battery status, speed, height and connection quality into the camera view in real time to create a head-up display containing all essential telemetry information for the pilot. The app also supports voice recognition to start/stop video recording, to capture photos and to adjust camera settings such as the ISO level.
This provides the the pilot with hand-free control over the camera simply by speaking voice commands. DroneVR utilizes the iPhone's hardware video decoder to achieve highest image quality and lowest battery consumption. To work with virtual reality headsets from any vendor, the app provides flexible headset configuration options such as lens distance and image size.

I found my competitive nature coming out as I tried quickly trace each letter and shoot the offending junk food on screen. My preschooler was equally drawn to this game and he loved learning his letters and shooting bad guys! It is really genius the way the developer incorporated a video game type element to keep kids engaged and eager to learn their letters. Even my older kids who are master writers wanted a turn so they could shoot as well!"

The base idea of the game was inspired by a true and tragic story: The Guardian reported that Russia's space agency confirmed on Monday, 1 September 2014 that five geckos, launched into space for an experiment on weightlessness have died. The base idea of the game was inspired by a true and tragic story: The Guardian reported that Russia's space agency confirmed on Monday, 1 September 2014 that five geckos, launched into space for an experiment on weightlessness have died. Even showman John Oliver started a hashtag #GoGetThoseGeckos to save the poor lizards.
Now players can change the tragic history into sweet and glorious victory! In the game "Space Geckos - The Rescue Mission" players can fight their way through asteroids and get those geckos to bring them back to Earth unharmed!
Players can launch spaceships from planet Earth and collect rescue helmets hidden behind asteroids to save the reptiles of the failed space station. They must shoot the asteroids to get the hidden gecko rescue helmets. Blasting Unity asteroids give them hidden power-up objects, like the classic turbo laser, fuel refill, shield recharge or the magical magnetic helmet collector special power-up. Asteroids and celestial bodies use real physics simulations.
Players must navigate spaceships using simple taps among dangerous asteroids, black holes, exploding space mines, neutron stars and double stars. they should avoid deep space comets, the Moon or tiny meteors; these can destroy the spaceships. Players can travel through all the star constellations during the adventure; they can complete adventurous tasks and save as much lizards as they can to smash their way to the top of the leaderboards.

In Marquee Mash, players remove letters from signs to answer crossword-style clues. It is aimed at word lovers looking for something a little different, especially when they only have time for a quick puzzle break.
In Marquee Mash, each puzzle consists of a sign displaying a movie title or musical act, a clue, and a number of blank spaces for discarded letters. The challenge is to remove letters from the sign to reveal the answer to the clue. When a puzzle is solved, the player earns a gold coin for each discarded letter and can proceed to the next puzzle.
"I love crossword puzzles, but I often don't have time for a whole grid," said Nabil Tamer, the game's developer. "Marquee Mash lets players get a quick wordplay fix in their spare moments. Plus, it is designed for phone screens that are too small for a full crossword."
Difficulty ranges from simple to tricky. Gold coins can be exchanged for hints that remove a letter or restore a letter that was incorrectly removed. More gold coins can be bought via in-app purchase.

On Air grants direct access to 10.000 radio stations, all of them sorted in different genre. The advanced search function makes it easy to find the preferred station or streeam. To find the personal favorites again they can be saved.
"The biggest change that digital TV brought to me personally, was the ability to have a huge amount of radio stations available, and the fact that I could easily find what I wanted to listen to at that moment. On Air brings back that feeling to the Apple TV" as Christian Schaffner, General Manager of Pilcrow, explains.
On Air supports 10.000 radio stations, sorted in different genres, which can be accessed either directly or using the search function. Personal favorites can be stored, and be sorted to fit personal preferences.
"There was this song called 'Video Killed The Radio Star' by the Buggles, and they were for very big parts right on this. But who would have thought that TV could make radio big again. When I grew up, Radio was very important, and for me it still is. One of the most important reasons for me to have a TV is the huge choice of radio streams it allows access to. With the On Air app we want to help to keep the Radio Star alive" as Christian Schaffner explains why the On Air app is one of his personal favorites.

Instead of the expected jumping option, Creepy lets you shield block your threats, which brings an interesting new twist to the genre. With 12 levels, the game goal is set straight "Beat the damn thing." The controls feel really neat, mastering them is key to beat the challenges awaiting you. Overall the game has a great creepy atmosphere and this wonderful simplistic charm.
