Variables, another major new feature, lets designers create complex parametric drawings such as buttons with multiple states, circular progress bars, and even animated game characters. With Expressions, relationships can be created between variables with immediately visible results. All of these dynamic relationships are preserved in the generated code.
PaintCode 2 also brings a multi-tab, multi-canvas workspace, making it easy to consolidate all interface design assets into a single PaintCode document. With the included PSD and SVG import modules, users can turn their existing assets into resolution-independent code.
In addition to StyleKits and Variables, PaintCode 2 also improves the built-in drawing tools: transformations, new operations with beziers, automatic and manual drawing guides, shape aligning, boolean operations and many more.

Movie Splitter makes it easy to split up a movie with chapters into individual sections. Hybrid Auto movies are digest movies created by Canon cameras. Digests combine a photo with a few seconds of footage. Digest movies are difficult to edit without complex editing software. Movie Splitter makes it easy to split and work with sections of digest movies.
"I had to create Movie Splitter because my wife and I bought Canon cameras," said Graham Miln. "The cameras were great but the accompanying software was limited. Movies created in Hybrid Auto mode showed such promise but we could never share just those moments we treasured. A few bad shots always needed editing out, and from that need, Movie Splitter was born."
Movie Splitter automatically detects chapter information embedded within a movie. The chapter information can be in 3GPP or QuickTime tracks; both are supported. Movie Splitter will split a movie at each chapter marker. Movie Splitter can be used to selectively export single or multiple sections from a movie. This makes it possible to isolate and export only the shots that matter from a movie. Selective exporting avoids demanding large amounts of storage and processing time for unneeded content.
Presented with a movie that has no embedded chapters, Movie Splitter will offer to halve or quarter the movie. This approach makes Movie Splitter handy for situations where uploading or backing up a single movie exceeds size limits. Movie Splitter takes full advantage of the Mac's multiple processing cores and queues up movies for splitting in the background.
Movie Splitter does not re-encode exported sections. Sections are passed through untouched, except for being trimmed to size. Movie Splitter does not affect the original movie. For more, visit the website.

San Francisco, California - Free and discounted speech therapy apps, giveaways and app reviews will be highlighted in May for the third annual "Let's Talk: Speech and Communication," at The iMums, a children's educational technology review site. May is Better Hearing and Speech Month, and The iMums, founded by four tech-savvy moms from four corners of the globe, also will feature speech therapy news and resources.
"This year's Better Hearing and Speech Month theme is 'Communication Disorders are Treatable,' and we want to put the spotlight on apps that can be used by both speech language pathologists and by parents at home," said iMum Mary Mahon of California. "This is a cause championed each year by the site because three of the four iMums, and many of its guest reviewers, have children in speech therapy."
Mahon's own three children have benefited from speech therapy, including a daughter, 7, who has childhood apraxia of speech, a severe speech problem where the tongue and mouth have trouble forming words. The iMums will join in marking May 14 as the second annual Apraxia Awareness Day.
"When my daughter was 4, she needed to practice her speech therapy every day at home, but she really resisted. Then we discovered iPad apps that got her interested in doing her therapy and willing to do her daily practice," Mahon said. "That's how I began researching and reviewing apps."
A list of speech therapy apps on sale and giveaways will be updated daily on The iMums site. The iMums Facebook page also will be kept current with reviews, giveaways and price drops. Participating developers include: Hamaguchi Apps, Little Bee Speech, Pocket SLP, Erik Raj, Tactus Therapy Solutions, Virtual Speech Center, Grace App, Balbus Speech, Speak in Motion, Multimedia Speech Pathology, IAC Professionals, Motion Portrait, Abitalk, Avokiddo, Talktime Pediatric Speech Academy, Reading Doctor and more.

Sunnyvale, California - Responding to the ever-growing number of iPads in modern classrooms, education technology company IPEVO has released a wireless document camera for iPad, the iZiggi-HD. Building off the success of IPEVO's iconic line of affordable document cameras for PC and Mac, including the original Ziggi-HD as well as the Point 2 View, iZiggi-HD has the ability to stream live, high-resolution images of documents, pictures, 3D objects, and devices such as smartphones directly to iPad over WiFi.
IPEVO emphasizes the portability of iPad for sharing teaching material, which is now complemented by a document camera that is similarly wireless. Free from the traditional teacher's desk at the front of the room, educators can more closely interact with students for one-on-one sessions at the student's desk, outside, or on a field trip. iZiggi-HD is also ideal for capturing large, fragile or unwieldy items which cannot easily be brought and placed underneath a traditional, wired doc cam.
Inherited from previous generations of IPEVO doc cams is iZiggi-HD's multi-jointed swing-arm, which provides a near-limitless amount of angles and heights for capture. Also present is a 270� swiveling head which allows faster and easier orientation to ensure readable text. Additional features serve to customize capture, including an exposure toggle and two switchable focus modes.
iZiggi-HD's 5 Megapixel camera delivers a high-definition resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels via WiFi and 2592 x 1944 pixels when directly connected to PC or Mac via USB. High resolutions are appropriate for detailed close-ups for very small text and for science demonstrations, to name two examples. A 6x digital zoom further enhances the educator's ability to capture fine details. Also available via a wired computer connection is IPEVO Presenter software, which adds features such as Full Screen Mode, integrated Evernote support, and Review Mode to manage snapshots. A USB storage device can also be connected to iZiggi-HD, giving the user the ability to wirelessly share access to stored files and to save captured snapshots.
iZiggi-HD can also transform iPad into a portable, interactive whiteboard through use of the free IPEVO Whiteboard app. Educators can annotate the live image in real time to help clarify teaching material through use of lines, shapes, text boxes, and other simple drawing tools. The live image as well as live annotations can then be displayed on the classroom's projection screen when iPad is connected to the projector.

A 6x digital zoom further enhances the educator's ability to capture fine details. A USB storage device can also be connected to iZiggi-HD, giving the user the ability to wirelessly share access to stored files and to save captured snapshots.
