Ahmed T-Nabarawy has announced the release of Arabic Language Scale 1.0 for iOS, a language test which is standardized on normal Arabic speaking children from upper and lower Egypt. This scale is used mainly to identify children who have a language disorder or delay. The app is composed of two sub-scales, Auditory Comprehension sub-scale and Expressive Communication sub-scale. It is the first and only medically approved scale used for measuring young children's language age.

The Arabic Language Scale application is composed of two sub-scales, Auditory Comprehension (AC) sub-scale (it contains 62 items) and Expressive Communication (EC) sub-scale (it contains 71 items). AC sub-scale includes test tasks that are important precursors for language development (e.g. attention to speakers, appropriate object play), test tasks that assess basic vocabulary, concepts, grammatical markers, understand complex sentences and inferences. EC sub-scale includes items that, examine the expression of vocal development, social communication, quantity, use of specific prepositions, grammatical markers and telling a short story.
The Arabic Language Scale application is used to obtain the child's language age starting from the moment of birth. The Arabic Language Scale application is designed to be easily applied by non professional person (as the child's caregiver). The Arabic Language Scale application will yield a result composed of
1. Raw score for bot sub-scales
2. Standard score for both sub-scales
3. Language age for both sub-scales
4. Total language age

Craneballs are launching a sequel to their Gun Master hackathon app from February 2014. The original was made by 10 people during a 24-hour hackathon and polished in 5 more days by two people. The app features 3D gun models; each one can be upgraded with numerous parts. It takes the same concept and turns it into a stunning visual treat for every gun lover out there. Gun Master 2 was born in the same conditions, although polishing took little longer this time.
Ostrava, Czech Republic - Craneballs are best known for their Overkill mobile shooter games that focus heavily on guns and their upgrading. While the mobile market for shooters has stiff competition, gun building apps available on the App Store often have questionable quality, yet they are incredibly popular.
Craneballs knew they had the best looking guns on the App Store and decided to give it a try with their Gun Master 3D - as the name suggests the app features 3D gun models; each one can be upgraded with numerous parts. Less than a year later the app has been downlodaded over half a million times on the App Store.
Zero To Minimum Outside Marketing
"Yes, we did cross-promote and shared it on our social pages, but that accounted for about 4 thousands initial downloads. Then it just blew up organically," says Daniel, Marketing Manager for Craneballs. The great success has been achieved purely by having a great app, great looking icon, screenshots and killer keywords.
Gun Master 2 takes the same concept and turns it into a stunning visual treat for every gun lover out there. Completely reworked guns, many new ones that look even more realistic.
"This time we wanted to gamble with the ASO," Daniel added. The gun renders are incredible, and you will not find them in the app. Even still, Craneballs believe the users will not be disappointed.
