The unique "paper folding game without the paper," Let's Fold from Five Thirty was awarded third place in the Global K-startup program. K-startup is a start-up accelerator in Korea that has partnered with Google as a non-profit organization that focuses on incubating app developers and start-ups. K-startup is a start-up accelerator in Korea that has partnered with Google as a non-profit organization that focuses on incubating app developers and start-ups.
The Let's Fold team was awarded the opportunity to travel to the U.S. for two weeks for a comprehensive training program organized by Qualcomm. Developers will have access to a valuable network of accomplished entrepreneurs and executives. This year's program will take place around Silicon Valley and also in New York. Winners were selected based on the application's global appeal, originality and functionality.
The game itself offers users the experience of the classic origami art, reimagined as colorful puzzles. Players are challenged to match the given shape within a specific amount of folds. Gamers have the ability to create custom puzzles for friends to solve, share tips for completing levels and compete for high scores.
"Creating simple, yet original games is becoming more difficult in a crowded marketplace full of talented developers," said Chung Sangwha the CEO. "This application is intuitive and visually appealing enough for beginners, yet challenging enough for advanced gamers. It strikes a balance that is characteristic of some of the most addicting games on the market."
New chapters with different pictures and themes are released periodically as updates, offering players a continuously expanding library of challenging puzzles. Let's Fold is available for free on the App Store and Google Play, yet players have the option to receive hints to particularly challenging aspects of the game for small in-app purchases. The app will soon allow users to print characters and test their real world origami skills.
Let's Fold joins the ranks of previous winners and participants that have benefitted from the overseas program. According to the National Internet Development Agency of Korea, a total of 11 start-ups from the last two years were able to use the networks made available by the program to secure foreign investments that have contributed to the growth of start-ups and expansion.

Helsinki-based 2camels Publishing has released Veggoagogo 1.0, a travel translation app for vegetarians, available on the iOS platform. The app addresses many of the needs that the travelling vegetarian faces on a daily basis, from locating a restaurant, choosing suitable items from the menu and more. The user simply chooses a question from Veggoagogo, then selects the appropriate language and taps the translate button.
Helsinki, Finland - Veggoagogo aims to provide the modern vegetarian traveller with an app that lends confidence to a situation that has filled vegetarians with dread for decades; ordering vegetarian food on the road. As well as defining what a vegetarian is, Veggoagogo addresses many of the needs that the travelling vegetarian faces on a daily basis, from locating a restaurant that serves vegetarian fare, to choosing suitable items from the menu, down to thanking the chef, waiter, concierge, market-stall holder or friendly local.
Veggoagogo is intuitive and easy to use. The user simply chooses a question from those offered, then selects from one of 50 languages available before tapping the translate button and being presented with their translation. The all important translation screen text has been optimised to be displayed at a distance. It can be flicked between night and day modes, making the text easy to read in all lighting conditions.
Veggoagogo enlisted the drawing talents of illustrator, Cat MacInnnes to create a range of animal icons, that add to the usability of the app, whilst maintaining its simplicity.
Users can tap the animal icons atop the translation screen and be presented with full screen versions which can be swiped and used as a visual backup to the translated message. Users are encouraged to spice up their Veggoagogo experience to match the flavour of their current destination with one of the many preset colour themes on offer.
Paul Dodson, founder of 2Camels Publishing had this to say, "Often when travelling it's hard to get across exactly what vegetarianism is. In many countries it's a loosely defined concept where vegetarian dishes may still include fish or seafood. With Veggoagogo we aimed to do two things: one, define what a vegetarian will and won't eat and two, offer a range of questions that travelling vegetarians face on a daily basis. In version 1.0 of Veggoagogo, we do this in 50 languages. Veggoagogo has been designed with simplicity and usability in mind. The interface is uncluttered and hopefully, aesthetically pleasing. All of our translations have been professionally completed by native language speakers".
Veggoagogo is the first of a number of travel translation apps designed to use the same application architecture. Players control Mack as he rappels down building after building, swinging, shooting, tossing grenades and ambushing enemies. The game features simple tilt and touch controls, various enemy types and ever increasing difficulty as successive buildings get taller and more packed with danger. Players also collect coins to purchase and upgrade weapons, as well as lottery tickets for the chance to win additional coins and prizes.
"The game features a light-hearted graphic style accompanied by some really crazy cartoon mayhem," says game designer and developer Alan Thomas. "It really is both fun and funny. With this testing phase of development, I hope to fine tune the game and make it even better."

This biblically-based app has forty levels of game play. The last four levels are fixed and structured purposely to enable the player to make a Decision for Christ. "There has never been a game like it," says Folorunso. "Many Christians carry the Holy Bible with them daily but cannot recite two verses correctly. More levels will be added to the game as time goes on."
The themes interwoven in the game are Spiritual Wickedness, Encounters with the Devil, Walking Through Fire, and Arrow That Flies by Day. Each level is a graphical description of a particular Bible scenario. The player needs to apply the right Bible passage to progress to the next level. The full Bible text is displayed when the Bible option is right. The Player receives a crown of salvation on successful completion of all levels.

Danger lurks on every platform so one has to be very careful while moving ahead. Crossing the platforms is in fact more difficult than killing the monsters. So that adds to the fun.
