The new templates in Comic Life 3.5 cover a wide range of topics and include award certificates, education, trading cards for sports teams or games, and modern styles and themes for creative comics. The new creative and life story templates lead off with a front page design followed by multiple stylized pages to match the theme. Templates designed specifically for education give students the framework to build a science report, write a newspaper, create a skill sheet for physical education, and build the school's yearbook in Comic Life 3.
The new full color halftone feature gives total control over how the halftone is rendered and is available for any element on the page. A simple interface controls the display of the halftone dots and users can set the size of the dots and adjust the foreground and background colors.
The workflow of the Script Editor is improved with an upgrade to the drag and drop feature. Text from the Script Editor can now be pulled from the script and dropped into an existing text element on the comic page. Users can now quickly update the comic page if there are changes to the script without having to duplicate elements or alter layout, saving the user time and also making the templates more functional.

Comic Life 3.5 for Mac and PC requires Mac OS X 10.6.5 or later, or Windows 7 (SP1) or Windows 8 (+ latest patches.). Comic Life 3.5 for iOS requires iOS 8.1 or later and is compatible with iPad 2 or better, iPhone 4 or better and iPod touch 5th generation or better.
