The aim of the game is to hit as many enemy stones as possible by forming so-called Mills. Version 2.5.1 receives a complete overhaul including online multiplayer mode, international leaderboards, and stylish HD graphics.
Hamburg, Germany - Casual games publisher LITE Games, headquartered in Hamburg/Germany, has released a big update for the iOS version of the successful app "iMills" today. About five years after the initial launch the update delivers the long anticipated online multiplayer mode as well as numerous other improvements (and a new name: "Mills").
Mills is a hugely popular game throughout the world, characterized by the fact it is so easy to learn - and it's even older than chess. Nowadays the game that's also well known as Nine Men's Morris, The Mill Game, or Cowboy Checkers is a national pastime in many countries.
With the Apple iOS version of the free mobile game having already recorded over a million downloads, the game takes the next step to improve the game experience even further. The update was already released for Android about a month ago and was very well received with over 100,000 new downloads and an overall rating of 4.3 stars.
Mills features 3 game modes: 2-player online, 1-player offline, 2-player offline. The heart of the new version is certainly the online multiplayer mode, in which players can put their skills to the test in matches against opponents from all over the world. Also new are the international online ranking and comprehensive statistics which enable players to track their own progress.
"We are extremely excited about the new online multiplayer feature", says Chris Twellmann, Managing Director at LITE Games GmbH. "The ability to play Mills against friends online and to then be able to compete in ranking lists is a feature that a large number of players have been requesting for some time."
But the game continues to be just as fun offline as well. Apart from the powerful AI with various difficulty levels, there are now also customizable rules for a personalized game experience, as well as numerous achievements to unlock. Naturally, the new version also offers the option of replacing an offline computer opponent with a human player, allowing users to play a round of Mills with friends in real life without needing a game board.
In addition to a graphical overhaul of the game, localization into many new languages has been added. The Mills board game is now available in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Turkish, Russian, Polish, Hungarian, Chinese, and Japanese.

Anyone can setup an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch at home to act as a camera, and easily monitor their pet's actions and well-being from their iPhone, no matter where they are.
Pet Monitor is a breeze to setup. Simply purchase and install the app on one iOS device, and then install it on the second device. (The second installation is free.) Then, plug the iOS device you'll keep at home into power, run the app, and point the camera at the area you wish to monitor. The device will monitor the area for noise and motion. Then, run the app on the second iOS device, such as an iPhone that's carried during the day, and that device will receive notifications when the home iOS device detects motion or noise.

When pet owners leave home, dogs can undergo separation anxiety, leading them to bark, and act out, sometimes damaging the owner's property. Prague-based indie developer Martin Man today announces Pet Monitor 1.0, his pet monitoring solution for iOS devices. Pet Monitor allows pet owners to keep an eye on their four-legged friends from anywhere. Users simply setup an iOS device at home, and then connect to it at any time to view their pets on a handy iOS device. The app notifies owners when the pet barks, allowing them to both watch and talk to their pet, making it perfect for owners of new puppies who may have separation anxiety.
Prague, Czech Republic - Independent developer Martin Man today is pleased to announce the release and immediate availability of Pet Monitor 1.0, his pet monitoring solution for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices. Anyone can setup an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch at home to act as a camera, and easily monitor their pet's actions and well-being from their iPhone, no matter where they are.
Pet Monitor is a breeze to setup. Simply purchase and install the app on one iOS device, and then install it on the second device. (The second installation is free.) Then, plug the iOS device you'll keep at home into power, run the app, and point the camera at the area you wish to monitor. The device will monitor the area for noise and motion. Then, run the app on the second iOS device, such as an iPhone that's carried during the day, and that device will receive notifications when the home iOS device detects motion or noise.
When a notification is received, the user simply taps it, and will be taken automatically to a live video stream, where the pet can be monitored. Using FaceTime-like video and audio, the owner can even talk to the pet and calm it if needed, reassuring their pets when they are upset or lonely.
"My original app, Cloud Baby Monitor, is one of the top baby monitors on the App Store," says developer Martin Man. "I learned that many customers were using Cloud Baby Monitor to monitor and better take care of their pets. That's when I came up with the Pet Monitor app, which includes features that are specifically tailored for pet owners."
When pet owners leave home, dogs can undergo separation anxiety, leading them to bark, and act out, sometimes damaging the owner's property. This leaves the owner with no way of understanding when and why it happens. Pet Monitor allows owners to monitor their pet and its behavior, either at their leisure, or when notified of activity.

Today the HedgeHogs are set on placing another milestone by announcing a round spinning calendar that is freed from such limitations - a calendar set in the augmented reality that will allow a truly natural way of exploring time in three dimensions. The project is currently in development for the Microsoft's HoloLens platform, with further plans to adapt it for similar devices like the rumoured Apple VR.
Ljubljana, Slovenia - Since the dawn of civilisation men observed the nature, followed its cycles and tried to measure time. Many societies had a round perception of time, therefore their calendars were illustrated in a round form. However, creating a truly feasible calendar in circular shape only became possible with the emergence of digital computers and touchscreen technology, which would enable the user to perpetually traverse the timeline in any direction, by directly spinning the calendar.
In 2012 such a calendar was made for the first time by HedgeHog Team, in the form of a mobile app named CircleTime, which is available for Apple iOS devices. The product received an innovation award by Slovenian Chamber of Commerce, and has since gained thousands of users across the globe, who have recognised the value of circular time presentation. Although the touchscreen with its many supported gestures enables unprecedented ways of interaction, it is essentially still a screen, with all the constraints of a physical object.
Today the HedgeHogs are set on placing another milestone by announcing a round spinning calendar that is freed from such limitations - a calendar set in the augmented reality that will allow a truly natural way of exploring time in three dimensions.
