Beyond is secure web server suitable for new users. The application and the web servers are sandboxed. Each web server is independent and can only serve files from the folder selected by the user. The server can not write files or execute scripts.
"I created Beyond because I wanted a fast way to test web sites on my own Mac." said Graham Miln. "Once I had proved the secure architecture, I could see the path from serving just my Mac to serving on the Internet was possible but not easy. It took more work than expected but Beyond can now map ports, ensure reachability, and get a domain name, all without needing the user to wade into a technical quagmire. Beyond's web server requires little memory and processing power. Each server's memory requirement is measured in tens of megabytes. A small web site will requires only a few megabytes of memory. This makes Beyond suitable for running multiple servers on any Mac computer.
Beyond is ideal for users who need to develop, demonstrate, and test web sites locally. Modern web development requires loading web pages from a server. Web browsers, such as Safari, show different behaviours when loading files from disk compared to a server. Using Beyond helps users run a server and see the final behaviour without any complex set-up.
Miln offers a pay-for Beyond Membership. Membership expands the technical options available within the application. These options include control over the local TCP/IP port, the mapped port via NAT/UPnP, and passphrase protection to secure the served site.
Membership also includes use of Miln's reachability and domain name service. Running Beyond on a Mac is enough to serve computers on the same network. Reaching a wider audience, those on the Internet, requires help from outside of the local network.
Beyond members gain access to Miln's reachability service. This service actively tests each potential network address on your Mac for global reachability. This test involves checking both inbound and outbound traffic, on both IPv4 and IPv6 networks. This real world test means users know which addresses are truly public and which are not. This information is displayed in the Beyond Network window of the application.
Once Beyond members have reachable servers, Miln provides a domain name as part of the membership. A domain name is assigned automatically for the Beyond user and is available globally. Seattle, WA - Ron Boyd Design today announced the release of Canvas Art - Photo Filter. Canvas Art is an iOS application that allows users to create art ranging from a sketch or line art style, water-color type look to a crisp canvas painting with just a couple of easy steps.
Canvas Art is both a stand alone application that allows camera use, importing, and exporting images from and to numerous sources and is also a Photos Editing Extension for the native Apple Photos application. Users are able to choose a canvas, tan, white, or gray, and set the intensity of fill color on the canvas with looks ranging from washed out to photo like. After that the special charcoal outline effect is added and users have a wide range of intensities to work from. The finished product looks like canvas painting or charcoal sketch.
Canvas Art is different from most other photo filters. It is a filter with an infinite number of results controlled by user input. Another thing that makes Canvas Art different is the built-in augmented reality experience. Most other photo filters are a bit older and are not capable delivering an AR product but with Canvas Art things are always up to date and reflecting the latest technology. So with this application as with all our photo related apps users can see their finished work in a variety of picture frames and sizes mounted on their own walls using augmented reality.
When viewing images with AR, users have the option of three frame styles, light colored oak, cherry wood, or dark walnut, with the choice of no frame, thin, regular, and thick frame styles. Users can also choose from five different overall picture sizes to get an accurate feel for what large prints would look like mounted on a wall.
Augmented Reality was first introduced to the iPhone and iPad in September of last year. At that time horizontal plane detection was fully functional and placing virtual objects on floors, table tops, and counters was all the rage. The recently released 11.3 version of the iOS operating system included an update to Apple's ARKit which allows vertical plane detection. Using vertical plane detection users can now view objects placed on wall and other vertical surfaces with augmented reality. Canvas Art allow users to see their own created artwork with AR and that vertical plane detection.

Panorama coverage is visualized with a blue map overlay and favorite panoramas can be organized in folders.

AlphaDigits names five top class mobile apps every month based on the reviews published in the website during the particular month. This website has now released the names of top rated mobile apps for the month of April.
Sprint Hero (10/10): The game required you to tap the screen to change the direction of the ball and to actually keep the ball moving forward. That was really about it. There was no challenge other than controlling the direction of the ball. Sprint Hero is about more than running and jumping - it is about the timing.
Final Fortress (9.5/10): There is a game in which you can click away to build a fortress and then blast away at zombies, all in one. It's called Final Fortress - Idle Survivor. Information provided by Epic comes from knowledgeable sources that rely on precise scientific gear to measure and report on a variety of conditions. Surfers who use Epic's Today Widget can do a quick check on their favorite surfing spots to find out how the conditions are.
Einee (8/10): Einee is a learning app that serves as an educational tool. It by no means substitutes for a school education, but it makes learning about some historical figures fun and entertaining for kids, which is the best way to teach - make it fun - and it's why learning apps have become so popular. Einee allows kids to "chat" with big names like Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci and Cleopatra.
