Power APP released an update for their app Number Pad for iOS, their app that turns the iPhone or iPad into a separate numeric keypad to use with Mac computers. To keep laptops at a reasonable size comfortable to carry around, their keyboard is often missing the number block. Number Pad turns the iPhone, iPad or iPhone device into such a numeric keypad. The update contains a corrected download link to a more secure and more stable server.
Pfaeffikon, Switzerland - Power APP released an update for their app Number Pad to fix a bug that occurred as the result of a hacker attack.
Number Pad is an app that lets the user add a numeric keypad to their Mac computer. To keep MacBooks - or Laptops in general - at a reasonable size that is comfortable size to carry around, their keyboard is often missing the number block that is located at the right side of the keyboard. Number Pad turns the iPhone, iPad or iPhone into such a numeric keypad.
To be used with a Mac, Number Pad needs an app that has to be installed on the Mac, which has to be downloaded from Power APPs homepage. As the result of a hacker attack, the server was down, so users were not able to download the app to install on their Mac. They were sent a dead link, since the server was shut down for security reasons. The update contains a corrected download link to a more secure and more stable server.
"To establish a connection with the Mac, Number Pad needs an app to be installed on the Mac. This app has to be downloaded separately from one of our servers. A hacker managed to trigger the security shutdown of this server. Obviously the Mac App couldn't be downloaded anymore, and the link provided inside the app was dead as well. We moved the whole server to a more stable and secure infrastructure, so we had to include the corrected link in the app," explains Christian Schaffner as to the reason for this update and the corrected download link for the Mac App.

Matthias Gansrigler released an upgrade to his photo/video app for Mac OS X, Briefly. Briefly takes photos and optional sound files as input from the user and creates stunning Still Motion Videos from them in just a few steps. Version 1.5 can sort photos by color, resulting in a nice gradient effect in the video as well as support for more than one soundtrack or soundtrack looping, amonge other improvements.
Vienna, Austria - Still Motion, as wikipedia states, "is a method of displaying many images one after another (...) similar to the concept of stop motion. The difference (...) is that still motion is not a method of animation and therefore, each frame does not have to be related in any way".
Briefly creates these videos from any amount of photos the user specifies, an optional soundtrack and renders out a Still Motion Video in just a matter of a few clicks, making it much easier and faster to create these kinds of videos than in other video editors around. Briefly renders beautiful videos in up to 1080p and can calculate the perfect size for videos by looking at the smallest photo that was added. This reduces the occurrence of black borders around photos.
If the soundtrack is longer than the video duration, Briefly automatically fades it out at the end of the video, making it a smooth experience without the user having to fiddle around with volume ramps. The duration of each photo can be changed in Briefly's preferences, where a duration can be set from 0.1 seconds (which is the defacto-standard for Still Motion Videos) to 4 seconds per photo. If it is preferred to show entire photos instead of cropped photos that fill the entire video, "black border reduction" can be turned off in the preferences. Once a video is created, Briefly can publish it on popular video services such as Vimeo, YouTube, flickr and Facebook right from within the app.

If the soundtrack is longer than the video duration, Briefly automatically fades it out at the end of the video, making it a smooth experience without the user having to fiddle around with volume ramps. The duration of each photo can be changed in Briefly's preferences, where a duration can be set from 0.1 seconds (which is the defacto-standard for Still Motion Videos) to 4 seconds per photo. If it is preferred to show entire photos instead of cropped photos that fill the entire video, "black border reduction" can be turned off in the preferences. Once a video is created, Briefly can publish it on popular video services such as Vimeo, YouTube, flickr and Facebook right from within the app.

The game also has a micro-transaction system which allows players to buy more coins if they want the power ups but don't currently have enough coins.
The "endless runner" style means that you can play for as long as you want in order to continually challenge your friends. The style also means that you'll be constantly running forward no matter what. Tapping the screen makes the minion jump, and holding the screen for longer makes the minion jump higher. Pushing the green "S" button in the bottom right corner of the screen makes the minion shoot. This is the sum total of the controls in the game, so it's easy to learn but hard to master.

Examples of powerups you can get include magnets that help pull coins closer to you, or a jetpack that lets you fly. You can also use bumpers to jump higher or even a magic hat for getting through obstacles. Various laser guns are available for shooting down your enemies as well. Each one costs you about 250 coins, or you can purchase the powerups through micro-transactions in the Minion store.

I find the user interface to be quite pleasing as it is incredibly simplistic and looks much like a text message conversation would. You can see the history of messages allowing you to follow the conversation flow. You can even speak your text in rather than type it if you want. It's all about making your life simple.
