Players will bite their way through thousands of victims on their iPhone using in-phone navigation as they locate their next prey, with the goal of becoming the world's most dominant blood-sucking vampire.
In Vampire Tribunals you take the role of an awakened half human, half vampire species knows as damphyr, with the ability to sense demonic vampires that traffic among mankind. Use strategy and stealth to gain power by attacking demons around you or enter the mystical in-game portal known as the Janus Mirror to transport anywhere on the globe to challenge other real world iOS players while seeking out rewards and building your domain.
Players can quickly build a dark union of damphyr allies, establishing a powerful "House" that combines their collective powers to combat oncoming attacks. Use the Deck of Days to overcome your enemies by casting a variety of spells that can cloak you for stealth attacks, rebuff oncoming assailants, and summon protective demons. Dynamic Quests and World Events have players exploring beyond their local regions into the deep history of the world's labyrinthine vampire cultures. Travel around the world through the Janus Mirror to complete Quests, from Istanbul to the coasts of California to old Appalachia, meeting mythic creatures like Creatrix, a vampire with the power to awaken thousands of damphyr and shift the balance of power among all vampire-kind. Another Quest sends players to the enticing, blue-green waters of Santorini, a Greek island notoriously overrun by ghoulish undead creatures named "Lakas". Crush three of these insidious demonic creatures to lift an ancient curse and
be rewarded handsomely with in-game currency.
Vampire Tribunals is structured in a series of seasonal tournaments - Tribunals - with separate scoreboards for local and worldwide players. Each Tribunal will conclude with special World Events for players to accelerate their dominance level, including Sleepers of the Mound, where bold damphyr search Scandinavia for the green witch lights that mark where the Draugur rest and the Blood of Caligula, where damphyr converge on the Seven Hills of Rome to attempt raising the vengeful spirit of Julia Drusilla, the murdered daughter of Caligula. Successfully complete these World Events to boost your level through receiving experience points and powerful items, all in preparation for the Tribunal's final event known as The Reaping. Taking place during the last two weeks of a Tribunal, The Reaping is a time for players to battle for supremacy and receive their final Tribunal ranking.

Additional calculations and filters, including moving averages or running totals, can be added instantly to gain greater insight.

Also improved in version 15 is Bulk Import of data. Multi-megabyte files with hundreds of thousands of rows now take seconds instead of minutes to import.
"The enhanced speeds are remarkable," says Gron. "Vertica imports of 100,000 rows that took 70 minutes before now take just 49 seconds. Netezza imports that took 65 minutes now take less than 4 minutes."
Aqua Data Studio 15 has also gained the ability to connect, query, and generate database-style results from Microsoft Excel files, making one of the most frequently used file formats on the planet even more useful.
Support has been added for Amazon Redshift and the NewSQL relational database VoltDB. Hive support is much improved with drivers for MapR, Cloudera, and Hortonworks, support for HiveServer 2 and legacy support for HiveServer 1, as well as greater security with Kerberos authentication. Database support has also been upgraded to include Vertica 7, DB2 10.5, MongoDB 2.6, and more.

After releasing the app late August, Mei was stunned to see her Funky Bots at the top of the iTunes store two weeks later as the #1 Best New Kids App in the United States. "I was shocked and ecstatic. I ran to the living room and my toddler son started stomping his feet and jumping up and down to imitate me." Mei's company (also called Funky Bots) is an indie development firm of one person.
"My office is a closet in our apartment in Prague that I converted into a tiny Dilbert cubicle. Maya, the programmer I work with, lives in Bulgaria. We've never even met in real life. We just send send each lots of files and Skype a lot, and now we've made the a top kids app."
In fact, the dynamic duo, already had success with their first collaboration BoomKLAKers, a toddler app that was chosen as Best New App in 108 countries. "We thought we beat the odds with BoomKLAKers and wanted to make something that was even better and gave kids more room to create and make their own dances. I'm always amazed at how kids have an innate ability to think out of the box. Wroclaw, Poland - Veteran mobile game developer, Tequila Games has released Earthcore: Shattered Elements, its forthcoming digital collectible card game on iOS for iPad and iPhone. Promising to bring a completely new gameplay experience to the popular collectible card game (CCG) genre, Earthcore: Shattered Elements introduces a unique new gameplay feature called 'Card Crafting'. Utilising cards in their collection, players will have the ability to fuse cards together and create brand new, powerful ones, thereby adding over 500,000 strategic gameplay possibilities to their deck.
Earthcore: Shattered Element's gameplay further refreshes the genre through its 'Elemental' battle system. Based on the universally familiar 'rock, paper, scissors' mechanic, players collect cards, construct their decks and take control of fire, water and nature Elements to defeat their opponents in epic duels.
As well as the Elemental battle system, a new risk-based gameplay mechanic further injects tension and strategic possibilities into Earthcore: Shattered Elements by assigning a 'risk' value to each card. The more special skills a card possesses, the higher its risk value and the higher the loss caused to the player if they are defeated, meaning that players must now gamble which cards to use on each turn. Earthcore: Shattered Element's unique combination of Elemental battle system and risk-based gameplay replaces the mechanics of armor, hit points and mana that are familiar to many CCG players, offering them entirely new strategies and ways to play.

A new collection of parametric filters ranging from simple line drawing to full on movie-style rotoscoping allow an incredible range of effects. You can now knock out image backgrounds with the integrated Instant Alpha tool, making it simple to place your subjects on a dynamic background.
New graphic design options further enhance the appearance of your comic pages. Element strokes now include various dash and brush options for a hand-drawn look. Balloon control is improved with a variety picker presenting many variations on most balloon types, fully positionable interconnecting tails, and adjustable balloon tail widths. New fill options include halftones, speed lines and textures. Fill now has an independent opacity control for professional style balloon and caption designs. And elements themselves now also have fully adjustable global opacity. Rough up your pages with new page texturing effects. Lettering is bolstered with a new 3D effect to make your titles really stand out and gains enhanced control for precision warping.
Comic Life 3 introduces a script editor providing you the space to focus on getting your words down before tackling page layout. Here you will find a capable word processor with spell check, find and replace and auto-pagination. SmartScript(TM) technology makes element icons appear beside your script so you can easily move from working with text to building a comic page via drag and drop.
The redesigned editing engine features improved alignment guides including smart spacing guides, find and replace across balloons and captions, and grouping.
